post now (500 dilithium)

Wow I tried to post a minute ago...got a button that said "post now (500 dilithium) time remaining 300 seconds".

I wonder which of my alts it deducts this from?

    Or is this only imposed on "certain" members?

    It may by a tool to curb insta-trolling. If so, I actually approve. Yes, it may cause frustration to non trollers and flamers, but in the end, maybe the forums will cool down and we son't have 50+ pages of troll posts.

    I don't think so.

    Either it's A: a bug adding an extra zero to the 30 second rule or;

    B: it's a tool put in place to douse the forum flames and stop 50+ pages of trollbaiting threads.

    At either rate, I am sure it's temproary. Once the forums cool down we might be given our 30 seconds back.

    Sometimes when children misbehave they have their toys taken away.

    Granted, if I were a mod I'd have posted one waring to the forum users that if such behavior continues the 300 second rule would take effect before implementing it.

    If the player post something positively about game is the timer still 300 seconds?

    I logged in just to see what's this about, cause this one just seems too surreal.

    You're telling me that if i want to post again after this one, they'll cut from my Dilithium? Sure that's not from some comic book?

    Cause if that's the case, i'm better off just never posting here again.

    Most honest feedback from the developers so far

    Pretty good indicator that they do watch the forum and do want the negative feedback to not continue.

    "500 dil to post now" is hilarious though.

    Should make it into an authentic looking button in a signature with potential to be the best signature in history.


    Not really and issue for me since most of my posts are long anyway if they hadn't been then well they could still become it...

    I will just type out some more things nerfed, deleted or ruined and add to the post while post-time-gated

    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    I'll try to take this as a positive thing: If they need to resort to such desperate measures to quell the unrest, then maybe the game really is in big trouble and maybe Geko will eventually step down / get removed over this debacle and thus open an opportunity for STO to return to its core values instead of adopting more and more asian monetisation schemes.

    The timer is here, temporarily or otherwise (unknown right now), but anything about needing Dil is a hoax

    Besides, even if anyone wanted that to happen, there isn't really tech that would allow it as far as I know
    Was named Trek17.

    Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
