I am done debating with you. You are incapable of seeing points from different perspectives. You are incapable of defending your arguments fully and chose to lower yourself to childish insulting.
I'm sorry if you have nothing more to support your argument than 'it's not fair', but I can't help what is the truth here...
I have also countered every one of your claims with reason and examples or analogies, perhaps if you had done the same, you'd not come off as a child whining when being caught red handed that 'it's not fair'...
I'm not intentionally being insulting, I'm just not mincing words on this and saying exactly how I see the situation...
There is no prove there was an exploit. Only cryptic is, on heinsight calling what happend, exploiting. If that would hold as truth (but luckely it does not), every one can call you an exploiter for any reason especcialy when you are doing something others do not expect and punisch you. I am glad I live in a country where such a thing is called BS.
Sorry, but this was the entire reason people flocked to these patrols... They were too easy and many have openly said they dabbled, until they realised it was indeed too easy and stopped out of concern it was an exploit...
Wether defined in black and white or not, the mechanics were unintended, hence, an exploit...
You are now showing who is truly ignorant here... I'm Australian, defen>c<e is the traditional English spelling, not the Americanised spelling of the word...
It's the same how American English supplants many S's with Z's (pronounced 'zed' btw)...
Next time, try harder troll...
youre a australian? who gives a damn.
so you are that australian troll that never made a point.
get that fence defenced, lol.
stupid people acting stupid, too funny.
also my dictionary tells another story, uneducated fool.

I have seen no one in game stopping with leveling for the reason you give. On the contrary I saw a lot of people happely playing and leveling. Untill Cryptic dropped their bomb patch.
Sorry, but ignorance is no defence... Cry foul that you did not know all you want... You went there with the express purpose of gaining more XP than you could elsewhere...
Failing to realise this was an exploit does not change the fact you utilised it, and are now complaining you were caught and punished...
Being pulled over for speeding and then telling the officer 'I'm sorry, I didn't know I was speeding, I missed the speed sign..' will not get you out of the speeding ticket as you have done wrong...
Ignorance is no defence...
Easier enemies which were providing just as much XP as their 60 counterparts... Alarm bells should have rung here...
Again, even if you did not know, it does not change the situation...
Nothing he did is any more exploitative than Dyson Ground missions (less so, IMO, since it didn't include copious amounts of dilithium), and those get reported, complained about, and then Dev-ignored as WAI.
So, being a condescending dev apologist and calling people exploiters or anything else is patently ridiculous. Do you also jump into Dyson Ground threads and call people cheaters? Do you "cheat" doing that as well?
I have yet to see anything written by anyone differentiating between the ridiculously broken Dyson Ground Battlezone and the actions over which people are complaining now. Because they're the same. The only difference is one is "Working as intended," and the other somehow is not.

So, you didn't see it... Does not change the fact people have openly stated on these forums that they suspected the issue in question was an exploit...
Just have to make a specific point of this... This is a term that gets thrown around so readily on these forums it has lost all true meaning and is about as upsetting as being called a doody-head by an infant...
People really need to learn the difference between pragmatism and being a a true apologist...

And your point?
Though, I do agree, there is nothing I find more frustrating than those 2-3 people you always see camping the VRex in the City, while everyone else is capping points...
And I also agree I would like to see something done about this...
An exploit, is an exploit, is an exploit... Malice, intent, knowledge or ignorance... None of this changes the fact the mechanics were not intended...
And yes, I can use real-world analogies if I feel... I have also provided in-game (other games admittedly) examples - Elder Scrolls Auction House Exploitation and Fallen Earth Instance Exploitation (which I was even man enough to admit I was punished for)...
What have you provided to support your case, childish 'it's not fair' whining... You have yet to actually demonstrate a single point as to why you did nothing wrong...
Again, I remind you ignorance is no defence... You still benefited from unintended mechanics, as a result, Spec Points were deducted...
Just accept you did wrong, even if you do so in blissful ignorance, and move on...
Yes, just keep allowing the people in charge to define what is right and wrong in secret as and when they please...
I think you've missed the extremely dangerous precedent that this move sets.
By accepting this, it is giving Cryptic free reign to take away ANYTHING they want, from any player, at any time simply by citing the E word. No evidence, no proof, no justification. Just play OUR game, WHAT we want, HOW we want, WHEN we want. And you will be GRATEFUL that we even allow you to use our glorious server bandwidth!
Real Temporal Operative: Purchased the Special Temporal Agent pack before it was even officially announced!
So, you didn't see it... Does not change the fact people have openly stated on these forums that they suspected the issue in question was an exploit...
People troll the forums already for many years. Everyone is capable of creating a topic regarding suspicious things, also trolls. So please point me to a topic before the DR release proving your point. I see many BS topics in fora. Finding a other topic trying proving your own argument, every one can. But the existence of such a topic proofs nothing alike.
Fact you seem to keep ignoring is that the leveling speed did not increase when DR went live. Was exactly the same as for years. I could level a toon from 1 to 50 for years in 1 day. So going from 50-60 I expected to level for sure in a couple of hours. It even took longer than I expected.
Just imagine if they claim the dyson ground battlezone is an exploit tomorrow, and take away all dilithium gained there from everyone that spends more than 1 round there for the past year.
That's exactly what people here seem to be ok with.

Hate to break it to you, but this is how any MMO operates... We are playing on their servers, with their permission which gives the owner of those servers the right to define what is right and wrong behaviour...
Cryptic has cited clearly what the issue was...
You may not agree with it, which is your right, but I'm afraid it's their right to police their servers as they see fit...
All I can really say to this is if you don't like it, stop playing as there really is no other option...
youre the stupid one for being the WAY OBVIOUS TROLL for weeks on this forum now.
being obvious isnt a feat good trolls have.
edit: did you defence that fence yet?
Um...
Defence and defense are different spellings of the same word. Defense is preferred in American English, and defence is preferred in all other main varieties of English, including Australian, British, and Canadian English. The spelling distinction extends to most derivatives of defence/defense, including defences/defenses and defenceless/defenseless. But the words defensive, defensiveness, and defensively have an s everywhere.
Though defense is now the American spelling, it is not American in origin. The OED and Google Books reveal examples of the spelling from as long ago as the 1300s, many centuries before the United States existed. That spelling continued to appear a fraction of the time through the 19th century, when it was taken up by American writers. Today, to the chagrin of those who dislike American English, the spelling is gaining ground throughout the English-speaking world.

Yep, and there really would be hell to pay if they did... Because they've let it go so long it would be corporate suicide to punish people who have used it to gather dilithium...
Nerfing the Dyson Ground BZ dilithium rewards, or restricting them to the dailies, is something I'm surprised did not happen as a result of all this though TBH...

Wait. Wut?! Are you saying those NPC's at Tau Dewa have been paying out 5x the XP on Elite *for years*?! (And those in 'Shutdown' too?) If so, then how could Cryptic possibly deem *any* of this an exploit?! I was continually under the impression that the faulty XP tables were the result of inadvertently carrying over something from Tribble, since DR.

It's being thrown around so much because there is so much prevalence. If you don't like it, probably stop being so blindly one sided in the face of glaring contrary evidence. Because, to be honest, that's like putting your fingers in your ears and saying "LALALALA I don't care, you're a cheater because the devs said so."
And you just did it again.
"Y is like X, only not as bad. You're saying X is cheating. But it's not as bad as Y. So it makes no sense unless they're BOTH cheating. This is clearly not the case."
People, playing Tau Dewa patrols solo couldn't in itself have been the exploit. As I stated was the reason for me not to level by playing Tau Dewa patrols, their xp ROI compared to Argala was pretty much the same (seemed better for rgala for me). And Argala wasn't closed along with the Tau Dewa lockout.
That means some other shenanigans must have been at play (assuming there actually was an exploit and not simply people leveling faster that Devs would like while using conventional gameplay). From what I seem to understand, you could gain far more xp while spending much less time by teaming with a low level player.
That most of us certainly didn't do and therefore our spec points being taken is a big mistake.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Leveling in Argale was and is faster then in tau dewa. If people realy wanted to level realy fast they all would have gone to Argala. But so many people playing STO know so little about it. And it looks like some players know more about the game mechanics then the Devs else they would no be so surprised all of the sudden.

Really? Now you're just trolling.
Blindly one-sided despite evidence? What evidence? Please, show me the evidence you speak of that what took place was not an exploit...
And where have I said that what is going on in the Dyson BZ is, or is not any different?
I only stated that taking action now would be corporate suicide and that I'm surprised the actions of a few have not resulted in a change to the way rewards are granted already...
How is that being an apologist, or in some way defining differing levels of 'cheating'?
The leveling speed was already for years the same as it was when DR went live.
Confuzzled now. What was the alleged exploit then?!? Just going to Tau Dewa, instead of playing the DR content?! Tell me it ain't so, cuz that would be petty beyond belief! (Q.E.D.: I still can't fathom it)
Seriously, this changes everything! Or was the exploit having teamed, using trickery to lower NPC levels? if so, I have all the more reason to try and get a ticket thru, and have my case heard, as I solo-ed *everything*.
