No Hanger slot(s)? Can't say I'm surprised, but I a am disappointed. How did Cryptic not notice the thing is covered with hangers when they were building the model?

A shame, because I was looking forward to the possibility of a TOS Movie-era ship with hanger slot(s).

it came out exactly like i predicted, glad to see it finally available. only thing i was surprised by was the universal ENS on the fleet heavy, what a nice little surprise.

but then i think, again, to the galaxy R. with its inferior console line up to this, inferior turn rate to this, with its NEED of a universal ENS more then any other ship in the entire game. but once again, like the galaxy X, another ship with a connection to the galaxy class gets a universal ENS that wile nice, it doesn't need. wile the galaxy R goes on intentionally being terrible.

in the cruelest irony of all, picard's old dilapidated hunk of junk is twice the ship in game that his second command, the flagship of the federation, is. the ship class that was most powerful and flexible until the end of canon in the entire federation, remains the most broken and flawed ship in game. all the wile barring the cross of the galaxy X, forcing it into such a position because the X just HAS to be better, wile barley being any good it self.

if you could just give a fleet ship a universal ENS this WHOLE FREAKING TIME, why the hell haven't you given the galaxy R one? if you haven't noticed, we have been pleading for you to takes the tiniest action for years to make this ships actually playable. wile it deserves more, we will take this small thing gladly.

It looks very nice; thanks for adding to the canon pool of ships :)

The Bofflayout of the fleetversion is not fun to play around with... pure beamboat maybe. Makes it a bit boring for weapon setups. Lt. Com. Universal could help.

What a waste of 1000Zen, I'll be pouring my zen into something a little better than this garbage. This should be a free ship, what a waste of developer man hours. The only good thing is the console but then again, I wouldn't buy it just for that.

he, the irony is thick enough to cut out blocks of it. In raw combat data the fleet versions for the Ambassador, the Excelsior & the Constellation would be the Ships of my choice in that order over the fleet Galaxy.

Also? Last I checked the Constellation's Nacelles were from the Constitution.

Looks really nice and hooray for adding the Picard Maneuver console! Can't wait to buy it and have the skin on my Mirror Heavy Cruiser when I upgrade it in the new expan... oh wait I wont be able to do that since mirror ships are excluded.

Sigh. Did I mention it looks nice?

This is just what I expected out of Cryptic. Instead of putting actual ships from Star Trek canon into the game all they do is--

    ... oh, wait.

    Carry on. :D

Why is the Cstore disabled on tribble? I always try out new ships on tribble first if I cannot do that no more spending cash.

    Boooo Starfleet!

Seriously though, congrats to Picard fans and lovers of the Heavy Cruiser. I'm not wild about quad-nacelle designs myself, but it's not an ugly ship.

It was Picard’s first command, and arguable his first love. So how could Star Trek Online be complete without her. We are very proud to bring you the Heavy Cruiser Refit – Constellation class. Learn more about our latest ship, with the famed Picard Maneuver!

You can find our blog here.

Since the fleet version is going to be obsolete, within a few days, why would anyone want to buy it?

Pass. I make it a policy not to fly anything that was canonically a bucket of bolts before the GCS was even in preproduction.

    Okay I'm now finding flaws.

    1) The Art Team gave no options with the nacelles. We are stuck with the Red Bussard Collectors, instead of the canonical black (these were Constitution-Refit Nacelles, not Phase 2 Nacelles).

    2) The "Universal" slot on the Fleet Heavy Cruiser Retrofit is NOT retroactive. So those who already forked 4 Fleet Modules, well guess what, you got to buy another 4 fleet modules if you want the Universal Slot!

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

This is, however, not the place for that discussion.

Despite the immense negativity of this post, I honestly have to agree. The console looks like a neat gimmick and I'm glad it's only 1000Z instead of a T5 ship, but it's an ancient ship that even Picard states was underequipped for most of the tasks it ended up taking on, despite his love and fondness for it. The description even states it's over a century old.

No thanks. Didn't like the ship on the show, don't like it now. Not to mention, T3? I think not, even without all the T6/T5U upgrade rage going on, just no thanks. I'm sure some will like it and want it, fine, hope they're happy with their purchase, seriously. For me,... no go.

This is going into my wait till summer giveway and a year or so, Cryptic DOES NOT deserve a reward of money for yesterday's TRIBBLE

Actually, on mine it was... but it's not really that useful. I'd have rather had another LTC station.

So, CBS said yes to this 4 Nacelle kitbash monstrosity (hey, they needed a quick old ship for the TNG Season one episode "The Battle") getting a T5 and Fleet variant (which we saw in two episodes, total); the STO lore states it's a 125 year old design too...

yet CBS still won't okay the STAR TREK 'hero ship' design that started it all (IE the Starship Class/Constitution Class) -- the original 1701 U.S.S. Enterprise as a T5 (or T6) variant to this day.

Somebody at the CBS 'Star Trek' licensing department really needs to pull their head out of their posterior.

my fleet heavy got a universal ENS, you sure you don't just have a retrofit?

ya with those nacelles, not sure i care for all the red added to them. wile the red was added were it didn't belong, the 4 connie refit style impulse engines are just grayed out. reminds me of the steamrunner, that eventually got at the corrected option added to it, this just oght to be fixed.

with the addition of the nice material 6 to the heavy, i was hoping that the big hole when you pair up the cheyenne 'hull' and stargazer 'top pylon' would have been closed, but thats still there. and the dakota and star gazer nacelles still aren't mirrored like the nacelles on the Prometheus are. would love to see these things fixed on the heavy
