Brought to the brink of extinction. Actively starts attacking the extremely powerful group that put you there. Still going strong 40 years later.

    I like the Octanti already.

Anywho, I can't wait to meet the cooperative. As a lifer I'd be fine with a lib borg faction being built off them, but I doubt it'll happen any time soon. Pretty sure cardies'll be next.

Agreed. I like the Cooperative ship design too - nice and refreshing.

In Infinite Regress their ships were total beam boats, with ridiculous numbers of phasers everywhere.

Have they kept their design philosophy?

    100% agreed.

They are like the epitome of badassery.

I bet that every single one of them is named "Badass Loner". ;)

They're a lot like the Feds are in sTO, except the Octanti lost their homeworld.

Makes me wonder if those with Liberated Borg will have some influence with the Cooperative and the Octani?

With the Cooperative, I hope they offer unique enhancements only offered to those with Liberated Borg Characters (and BOFFs). Like that arm cannon! Maybe a trait that makes Liberated Borg completely resistant to assimilation nanites?

With the Octani, the opposite. They see our Liberated Borg characters (and BOFFs) and immediately become hostile. Otherwise they are friendly. (I.E. Don't take a Liberated Borg BOFF with you on that away team! ;) )

Betting now that the Octanti vessel is the first DR lockbox ship. Well I hope so, it's actually a decent generic design...

    It's either a Co-op Borg Faction or 2 mini-factions (with Octanti).

    I'd rather have the Borg.

"While the Cooperative maintains a distinct technological advantage over other groups in the region, they are inexperienced fighters and do not have the tactical acumen of our warriors."
My liberated-Borg Klingon begs to differ. When she got home from the Collective, the Empire thought it was okay to kick her while she was down. That proved a grave miscalculation. Previous experience within and outside of the Hive Mind has certain...advantages. ;)

Did you see the weapon used by the Cooperative warriors?

    A dual beam plasma cannon!
And when they shot it at their enemies, there was a general consensus of "let's get the heck out of here before they decide to not use it for a warning shot!"
Which they built in a cave with a box of scraps.

Also, Seven of Nine defeated Tuvok in hand-to-hand combat and Vulcans are supposedly the strongest species in the Alpha Quadrant.
Bonus points for using a Vulcan nerve pinch and not being a Vulcan! :D
For context, it's incredibly difficult for non-Vulcans to master this skill.

So I'm assuming a Liberated Borg has greater physical strength and the assimilated knowledge of many forms of self-defence.
And not being enslaved to a hive mind who regards them as slaves and disposable, they'd fight differently from a regular Borg.

Methinks the Klingons are just arrogant because they think Liberated Borg are as weak at fighting as regular Borg.
I think they're going to learn the hard way how wrong they are........

Bees like honey, they don't like vinegar.
Everytime someone makes a character that is an copy of an existing superhuman, Creativity is sad :'(

I'd prefer the Octanti. They're more alien, and they are like the incarnation of badass.

They might be holding up so the reports release in the weeks leading up to launch (five weeks to go, three blogs left). From what I have played on Tribble, this list is so far missing at least the Malon, the Kobali, the Hierarchy, the Vaadwaur and the Turei.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!
