I used to log MANY hours every day. Probably too many to the point of unhealthy. Yesterday I logged in for a few minutes every 4 hours or so, just to see if my crafted Engineer/Science hybrid consoles have sold.
I'm feeling less motivated to even do that today. Titanfall is calling my name.
I just had a match, and i must totally revisit my assessment. Four people were shooting at me with BO and stuff, and every time, after a few minutes, my Atrox exploded, even though I didn't even move!
I'm testing it out more. It's looking like you're dead meat unless you're cloaked or have high hull/resistances. So in other words, pushing escorts out even more.

Escort can at least move fast for high defense and shoot back with their own BO3

Try a high cap shield like adapted maco with x2 sci consoles that boost shield hit points 17% or better. That's how I was tanking BO 3 when we bumped into each other early on today. Granted I wasn't in an Escort but it might be worth looking into for Escorts.

The 25% reduction with the 100% crit, while it results in higher average damage does result in lower spike damage...thus providing more of a gap in the individual scenario for heals to take place.
That one doesn't have to do anything to offset the previous drain, means they're able to work in other options which will allow all their other damage in that 1-2s around the BO to do more damage and thus result in more vapes even as there are fewer one-shot kills.
The whole EWO BO Penetration DOFFs and chugging the DHCs into somebody to shred them.
Hell, it even makes it easier for folks with [AMP], [W->A] & T4 Nukara, etc, etc, etc to maintain higher damage if they're still running BO/HY/TS combinations for the torps to hit harder depending on the speed of the torps in the combination (some wouldn't matter, caused they'd be fired before the BO).
There's all sorts of things with that lack of drain that are just...hrmmm...well then. Still figure it was a PvE change - to get folks to do some of that rotation of FAW/BO for the R&D Beam Trait.
If you constantly die to two 31k-hits, you had no place in PvP even before this change. Sure, anybody can be caught off-guard. But not all the time.
3 halfway competent people shooting at you? You had lost anyways, BO or not.
Funny, the atttitude of "but this is too hard for me now!" that some people here express is precisely what PVPers used to critiize about PvE-only players.
For the record, what is your preferred ship type in PvP? It doesn't happen, by any chance, to be a low-hitpoint vessel with no armor?

After a day of PvP I like the change. No more or few 1 shot kills, PvP is fun again. (CTF is what I do)
And, after Ker'rat testing, I can see no difference in the ability to vape the average KDF player deploys - all that has changed is the big red number when the KDF player makes you look at the respawn timer, which is lower, but still more than enough to kill you.
Vaping, as far as my experience goes, remains as balanced as it was before, and A2B Cruisers Online has not become Vapers Online as was feared.
My Vulcan fared in her traditional fashion of surviving for a few minutes, being taken out waiting for TT1 or RSP to save a shield facing, my KDF still fails to vape anyone, and my Altmeri still gets into cool feeling dogfights which end with a WTF? moment.

Team I was on yesterday had no trouble putting down Kax. Start shooting, wait for FBP, subnuc it off, everybody unloads their BO3 combo, dead Kax.
LOL, that's funny. Normally when my FBP goes down that's when everyone dies... There's good FBP players, then there's expert FBP players. There's a way to keep FBP up for a full 50 seconds when used with a combination of consoles... There's even a way to FBP after FBP is subnuked or expired. Not telling anyone how, but there's only one ship in the game that can do it.

It's all legal. Surprised other players didn't figure it out yet. Watching vapers rage is fun. There's no possible way to vape me unless I'm AFK or busy. If you get lucky, you're dead also. Then my ship auto revives in 1 second... Life is good.
The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.

Should restate: FBP is broken because it requires Subnuc to clear, should not be buffed by tac, etc etc
FBP's problem is that its up time is too good. should be as long as RSP
