forum PvP is dead

to validate my theory, in a recent thread, HoBO essentially challenged the pvp community by claiming they are the best fleet {which they are of course}.

the only people to respond to the challenge, were from a old dead fleet, where most of the players have moved on to other games, who can't\wont even field a 5v5 premade match.

3...2...1...GO!

    Hey, I'm game for 1v1s against them. But i haven't splashed into 5v5 games yet...don't have enough time to commit

    Cryptic really should host some pvp touneys.

    Pick a host, let him hold wins and ya...would rekindle the spark for a lot of people that quit

    we can barely get one of them to visit kerrat once a year... hosting a tourney, while an awesome idea {which i like a lot}, would prolly never happen.

    The CM team has taken a harder stance on things...it's uh...more dangerous these days.

    PvP isn't dead, but fleets with 5 or more good dedicated PvP players that participate in tournaments, that's another story.

    while this thread is a play on all the pvp is dead threads, it's actually directed to the forum pvp ^^

    not a lot of it going on anymore.

    The problem is there is a lot of complaining going on on other topics, specially bugs. There is some idiot saying engineers got the shaft with crafting and I LOLed.

    I agree with them. :rolleyes:

    It's an Eng Console...they can only slot one...why shouldn't it boost an Eng Skill instead of a Sci Skill?

    The only more negative place in the forums is general discussion, while it stinks that the PvP part died, i dont miss the negativity of some PvPers

    Lol, you mean the weekly PvP is dead thread? Frankly, I love reading the weekly, DOOOM for PvP thread. Makes me laugh each week.

    agreed, negativity wont be missed, but forum pvp can be constructive and not necessarily negative.

    This is true. IF it's light hearted and good fun we won't get involved especially if feedback comes into play. If it's down right negative, hateful and just going to start fights that'll wind up in us moderating it anyways we'll deal with it.

    So I heard some noob from an irrelevant dead fleet got a lucky vape in Ker'rat on someone from the bestest most prettiest fleet in the game who was AFK, and then he made a forum thread about it. He must be very proud. Too bad he's still a noob.

    Then I once heard a story about how some noob was crying that his vaper kept getting target binded through the haxy exploit known as "/bind 1 target noob" and got killed whenever he decloaked. Then he started whining about bridge officer powers like Viral Matrix (pls nerf VM now!) and how people were using OP science stuffs against his ship. Unfortunately, the story did not end well for him.

    In all honesty, I have no idea whatsoever of what you're talking about so whatever you thought I was going to do won't happen. My doom threads are mostly aimed at aux2bat and crafting complaints, but I don't start them except the one below.

    What won't happen won't happen if he doesn't do what he won't do unless the other guy does what he wants to do and then lucho does what askray thinks he will do but only after tal doesn't do what he will do. It's perfectly clear.

    Yeah! Because Elysion, Omega, Geschwader, Inner Circle, Klingonische Ehrengarde, Ad Infinitum, Omega Flotte, NAP, etc. etc. don't field any premades! :cool:

    We would love for either of those teams to make a comeback. More challenge and a more active premade scene are nothing to fear. That's how we grow and improve. :D

    Vice Squad likes running premades from time to time, but lately it has been a struggle fielding a full 5 man team without outside help.
