I don't think the forums is an appropriate plate to continue this discussion, as it seems impossible for some people -- not naming names -- to follow the appropriate rules of the forums. It's not that easy to figure out, as I'm sure some of you have been told, repeatedly, what those rules entail, but I think we should move this conversation elsewhere.

I have officially split from Starfleet Dental in order to act as a neutral, non-partisan mediator. My new fleet, Nebreek1, will be happy to host this debate on my new channel named -- unanimously agreed upon by all ranking fleet officers, I might add -- Nebreek1.

The fact that my fleet, channel, and username are all the same is a random coincidence, mind you.

Here one of the most moderated and warned players players in STO, and yet he dares to quote rules and tell others what to do.

Added to that, a guy who has trolled other unnamed players about their @handle being the same as their fleet and channel - then goes and copies the same idea himself.

Anytime he speaks, nonsense comes out. Observe it often enough as I have, and you'll learn to take anything he says with a grain of salt.

I know this will be difficult for you to believe, because it will shatter your beautiful illusion where you're the good guy fighting a righteous war against the mean evil bullies on the internet, but just because you file a lot of reports against us doesn't mean that we ever actually have action taken against us. As a matter of fact, with the exception of one player, none of us have ever faced official censure. You want to know our secret? It's not breaking the rules. We don't break the rules, so your complaints get round-filed. Now, before you start sputtering about cyber-bullying and the ToS and all other sorts of white noise, we're talking about actual rules here, not the pretend ones you make up and then write up as scary-looking in-game mails where you impersonate a GM and try and intimidate us.

Believe it or not, we're the good guys here. We're doing Dukat's work, and it shows in the smiles of those around us.

They were extremely, extremely whiny, and it really rubbed people the wrong way. I think people see the worst parts of both Palestinians and Israeli's amalgamated into one whiny, self-righteous, orphanage-exploding race.

I applaud this player you speak of. He works tirelessly to mediate the squabbles that we wind up getting into and is the voice of reason amid chaos. You would be wise to follow his example and no longer impersonate GMs with in-game mails to warn players of behavior that in no way violates this games ToS.

I find this behavior offensive. I have not mentioned it till now, however, I feel the current circumstances warrant my mentioning it.

First: Cover Shields should go. They have no place on Risa.

If using them is some form of protest over the flag mechanic, then stop. It's ridiculous and will not change the use of said flag mechanic. All that's been done in point out a loophole to be closed up, namely stopping Cover Shields on Risa.

If using them is some form of protest against Superior Powerboards, because "pay to win", then stop. It's not "pay to win" if you've grinded your Lohlunat Favors to acquire said board, and everyone is capable of doing the same. It's called "playing the game". By now most everyone (assuming starting at the beginning of the event) should be able to acquire a Superior Powerboard. If you have other priorities, fine, but that's not the fault of those who did make it a priority to acquire one. (That goes for those, too, who may not be Cover Shielding, but are still whining about "pay to win".)

If using them is just about getting your jollies from inflicting grief on other people, then stop. That is just sad behavior on the part of the perpetrators and points to deeper problems with/in your life. Find something better to do with yourselves.

Regardless, I don't understand why the grief and rage anyway. IT'S A GAME. Sure, I get frustrated with it from time to time, but I try to keep it in perspective. I'm in it to have fun. I can understand if some jerk is making that difficult, but again, perspective. The world isn't going to end if a Cover Shield is blocking the finish line, or you get left in someone's wake because they have better board than you. What have you really lost? 2-3 minutes tops? If you lost your temper, then you lost more than that. You lost perspective. Can you really not live without those Monkey Tags?

There will be another race at another time. You'll acquire those Favors to get your own Superior Powerboard. And those jerks won't be at the finish line every time. But most importantly, life will go on.

If it is Arabic (didn't read all posts in this thread) I can assure you, this is not Arabic or Persian or Urdu or Pushto or Sindhi or Punjabi.
Looks like Hollywood version of Arabic though, or a cat walked on the keyboard.

By the way, how one can deploy the shield. The powers seems to be disabled?

The OP himself mentioned that he didn't see Dental there when he witnessed the cover shields during the race, so I don't know exactly how this became a Dental thread (which is against the rules, whether you agree with them or not).

    1. As was pointed out in other threads, the eagle symbol has been used numerous times throughout history, as was the swastika, and both were adopted by the TRIBBLE. It's not "theirs" and theirs alone. Our symbol is simply an eagle with the UFP logo. There's nothing "TRIBBLE" about it. You are grasping at straws here.

    2. This is NOT a Dental thread, you just decided to make it one.

    1) Try not to fall all over yourself when writing . See highlighted parts for more details .

    2) The reason I "decided" to make it a Dental thread is because I presented visual evidence that your Fleet did the very thing that this thread is complaining about -- namely cover shields (and disco ball) at the finish line of the race .

    3) I'm well aware that eagles have been used as symbolism throughout history , however it's up to you to provide me with an credible example of another (non TRIBBLE) eagle symbol where the eagle is shown perching atop of a circle made of flora .

Until that credible proof surfaces , my interpretation of your Fleet symbol will remain that of a TRIBBLE metaphore , and I don't care that you've removed the Swastika from it .
Plus the font used for your fleet name is also of the TRIBBLE German era . I'm sure that that was also just a 'coincidence' .

And in case you're interested in how your Fleet Symbol breaks the TOS , here :
    Hate Speech
You may not create posts and/or private messages that allude to, contain language, comments, references, links, symbols, terms and/or imagery about and/or promote and/or otherwise support, in any manner whether directly or indirectly, hatred, discrimination

Yup, that picture of a single member of our fleet, a tactical captain no less, standing and looking at the covershields sure proved he did it.
    Fx3popQ.png
But you know what? I guess it doesn't matter now does it? By being allowed to visit their studios Cryptic has pretty much signed off on you and your fleet haven't they? They've said in deed what most of us have suspected for years. They're not going to stop you. They're not going to correct you. You won. After long last, you really, really won. STO is yours and no one is going to do a thing about it. Congratulations.

Pretty sure it's up to you to prove your point, not for them to disprove it.

Either way it's Monday now so I'd imagine in a few more hours once people start waking up this thread is getting nuked like it should have been a long time ago.

Sorry that this is off topic, but it seems the entire thread is by now.

Not only are you grasping at straws, however you essentially admitted you are completely full of it in your first line right there.

As to one of your earlier posts, you stated "the answer was not accepted", even when made by the moderator.

I am not certain if you are aware of this, but literally not one person on this planet cares what you do and do not accept, because plugging your ears and closing your eyes does not change reality one bit.

That is just plain childish, shameful, and frankly, really really dumb.

Have any of you considered that perhaps an MMO environment is not suitable for yourself should you truely be so desperate to find solitude in a game and completely unable to survive in a social environment?

I am still standing by this being a purely personal problem of many of those who saw it fit to derail this into yet another wall of lunatic's ramblings and ravings about my fleet when we have, yet again, attempted to engage you in civil discussion and bring matters back on topic.

Now can we go back to discussing the surfboard race?

Maybe who would want to see a fancy Romulan Republic board to go with our KDF and UFP ones?

Literally anything remotely on topic that isn't a conspiracy theory or grasping at straws for bizarre personal agendas.

That is a reference image , not the actual reconstruction .
The actual reconstruction has the circle and the eagle far apart .
Pretty sure it's up to you to prove your point, not for them to disprove it.

    I already did .
If you have a problem seeing the 1:1 color inversion on the eagle , or the text font that was used in TRIBBLE era propaganda , or the general TRIBBLE copycat theme -- then with all due respect that is your problem .

The Cover Shield's physical blocking capability in a non-STF usually only serves to troll anyway. Why not only make it physically block NPCs, while PCs can just go right through it? It could still block weapons fire.

    Possibly .

But then again I'm not full of pretentious PC "we're inside the rulez lol" BS .
