The most major cases of our enemies becoming allies would be, the Klingon Empire, who I myself am a part of, not necessarily a citizen, but I am a member of the Klingon Defense Force, then there's the Romulan Republic, who are are the remnants and seperatists of the Romulan Empire, now their own independent government with a fair bit of space, and lastly and interestingly to an extent... I'd say the Dominion. We're currently on friendly terms with them and assisting them with a menace known as the Hur'q who millenia ago tried to exterminate the klingon species but were repelled by them. Each of these organizations in the past have been at war with the Federation, hell the Dominion was at war with everyone, so there's quite some stories to tell for each of them.
Jorin: from what I remember of ilum the empire had some interest in it early on but then left it with a token force. This was know as a dead end when it comes to imperial postings, anyone assigned here would be washouts or officers that made one too many mistakes, run a passive scan I’d like to confirm something. *she says curiously looking at the star destroyers* as for landing undetected I’m pretty sure it’s possible. Cloaking tech like this is rare.

jorin: *typing on a console she pulls up a holo image of the lead destroyer* no there is ample material for repairs yet they have patch work fixes not to mention this... frankestine of a destroyer.... a closer scan shows it has hull materials from victory classes and even venators. even its main batteries on the dorsal hull are mix matched, its got dual heavy turbo laser turrets from an imperial I two of its original octuplet turbo lasers and three DBY-827 heavy turbo laser turrets which explains the venator bits.... honestly its hard to tell if these are imperials or scavengers.

Most minor changes to the timeline aren't worth bothering over, but sometimes I or others have to deal with something major, like an important figure being killed earlier than they were meant to resulting in a dystopian timeline. The butterfly effect is something the humans like to call it. Something as harmless as saving a woman from a car crash might result in the complete collapse of a planet. Or, it might result in only good changes.
