My plan for the club was to have it be split. Half would be chill/loungy. The other would be dancefloor/club. The bar would be between the two. We've got a very rough whitebox built, but it needs a ton more work, and may change some before it goes out.

is there away to see the whitebox copy
of what you have in mind for the club??? please

Taco takes the playable ship model and converts them over. Not sure how much or how little he alters them in the process, but they're more or less the same as what we see in space.

What more do you need and what for?

how about a security office where you drop off contriband, prisioners and other things from doff missions much better then finding security officer in ops hanging around and waiting .. plus maybe see some new security tech that starfleet is now using

The last time I was on the new Earth Space Dock was when it first launched on Tribble. I went back today for a quick peak, and it's again blown me away! The attention to detail is just absolutely amazing, and I really have to give kudos to the team. Amazing ... everything I'd hoped for and much more.

    Thanks!

No it doesn't, but then I believe the Milky Way image in Sirius Sector Block is upside down, go figure.

No those are the same models, but then these models also have reduced resolution versions built in that have increasingly less detail the smaller or further away they appear, this is a graphics feature that is supposed to reduce the workload on video cards eliminating processing details that you wouldn't be able to see anyway.

He has to change the scale, plus choose whatever color scheme and layouts it's to use, remember ships are actually just another player costume.

No, the shuttle bay was never made nor intended for you to be able to be in there at one time, the fact that you could was a mistake Taco has said. There might, and if so it'll be a ways down the line, be a cut scene, similar to the departing SFA one, that we get later on. For now you can go to the departing gate area and click the button, and you'll get the transporter effect down to SFA.

    peter

if it makes you feel better the general consensus seems to support the idea that this sucks and that would should still be allowed to run around down there until the first thru lane.

honestly those empty drydocks scattered around should also serve as advertising new c store ships get better view up front and close ..plus you can fly around them to get angles you couldnt see if in esd

*that's a pretty decent idea. a set of box docks with maybe every c-store ship and variant available for players to inspect.

this is a decent idea, but better would be to simply expand near the weapons dealer (ground kits/weapons store). there is a door in the small passageway between the uniform office and the ground equipment dealers, maybe in there?

I didn't notice it yesterday, but today after the patch I took a closer look.

Thanks for giving the Chief Medical Officer NPC in the infirmary the Odyssey long jacket.

Players have complained for a really long time about the Odyssey long coat, belt, maybe a skirt for females, not being available to us and you guys just find a way to throw it in our faces again.

Just like the missing Bortasqu' long jacket, skirt, sash, shoulderpads, and different boots and gauntlet options, being thrown onto more and more NPCs in the various recently released episodes from Sphere of Influence and beyond.

Never an answer from a dev, except to slap on these unavailable-for-players costume options on NPCs in new/updated content and areas.

So a big thanks for that.

You need to be in a fleet with a tier 3 starbase and have the starbase tailor unlocked by doing a fleet project for it.

Then you go to the tailor at your fleet starbase and choose the 'Store' option and buy the uniform for fleet credits and dilithium. You only need to buy it once per character and you keep it even if you leave the fleet.

A Doctor not a Vending machine, which is hilarious considering his function. Good joke.

Having looked at the new NPC Odyssey uniforms I have to agree with the detractors. The only person who really looks great in it is Admiral Quinn with his gold trim. Everyone else looks extremely dark. I thought the uniform colors were meant for quick identification. In the Odyssey I'd put the division color on the shoulders instead of the border. When seen at a distance regardless of the division the entire uniform is very dark. The most military canon Starflet Uniform used in the Dominion war still had that bright grey to lighten it up. The Spacedock uniforms are even more glaring compared to the Spacedock itself which is bright (though a heck of a lot darker than when this thing was first put out...please turn the lights back on).

And to whoever changed Linnea's hair hurry up and change it back. What's the point of having an Ocampa if you can't see her beautiful ears?

Add me to the list of people who find the Bajoran robes on Earth Spacedock weird. They'd be perfect in the Tailor shop on DS9 though.

The skyfile is still absurdly blurry, but thank you for flipping it the right way, Orion is straight again.

Also thanks for the clouds on Earth, they look great.

    Hello Devs:

One of my Tribble characters hit level 45 recently, and I noticed in Admiral Quinn's dialog box that he referred to Lt. Commander Orkut being in the center of ESD still. Which is no longer the case, seeing as he is in the office just below Admiral Quinn's in the new Ops. His promotion dialog boxes should be checked for all remaining levels as well. 10, 20, 30, 40, etc. Just to make sure.

The older location being described will throw off or confuse anyone new to STO.

honestly i think the uniforms look more like a 2409 uniform compared to the old siera uniform. as for the darkness yes too blah yet im sure they didnt have enough time to go through each and every npc to give iyt the flair as they did with quinn and sulu in ops ..i guess you can say its better then nothing at all ...

Lieutenant Commander Arut the Dilithium personal equipment vender seems entirely engrossed in working on an invisible wall terminal when she isn't dealing with customers.
Somehow the Bajoran clothing just doesn't seem to fit the venue in the ESD Tailor shop, it seems like the wrong place to be selling Bajoran religious garments, especially with a Cardassian running the shop.
The the Biobed displays in the Infirmary stay on now, but they are still really faint compared to every other display on the station. There is one LOD defect remaining in the Doctors Office, a section of the floor in front of his desk changes it's pattern depending on viewing distance.
I'm glad to see some of clutter was removed outside of the station, but that starfield really is very blotchy, blurry isn't the word to describe it and it shows far less of what should be visible of the stars.
Can we assume that the USS Odyssey, USS Sovereign and D'kyr will eventually orbit the Station?

I suppose blotchy is a more precise way of describing the stars.

Oh I love the Odyssey uniforms, I'm grinding hard to get my fleet to tier 3 Starbase so I can get my own.

But I can fully see why most people with that uniform use the ST: Destiny white shoulder style.

Starfleet has always been fairly bright in their uniforms. But these are dark to the point that you can't differentiate.

And from the looks of it, about half the NPCs have had their Odyssey pants replaced with the Wrath of Khan uniform pants. They don't look good with the Odyssey top. So overall my opinion is the uniforms were too dark and now with the pants change it just made it worse. :(

Here is a thread from a while back that someone made. They listed a color scheme for the Odyssey uniform that I think looks good and could work better. http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=12098651#post12098651

I started and completed the Federation tutorial on Tribble, at the end Admiral Quinn gives you the normal equipment and stuff, but also gives you a free starship modification item, which would be a little redundant perhaps. Now that starship modifications are free with the new Season anyways.

Perhaps his dialog could be modified to let you know that it's free now, or otherwise updated to accurately reflect the changes to starship modification costs (being free)

edit: Also Ensign Rraak mentions your first visit to the tailor is free, though any/and or all visit's to the tailor is free now, that could be updated as well somehow.

edit 2: The Chief Engineer on ESD mentions the difficulty slider, and assignment officer(after completing the tutorial) and mentions that the Assignment Officer is in the middle of ESD I believe she is in Ops now.

Just thought I would give this feed back as well, thought it might help. :)

By the way, I was wondering where Lt. Commander E'genn is in the new ESD? I can't find him anywhere.

Or does the Scientific Mandate mission start with a different NPC now? The mission that teaches new players about the crafting system.

Another Image I found http://images-cdn.perfectworld.com/www/pictures/1351875440630.jpg This one looks like the same exact NPC and possibly an image created by Cryptic.

Just a reference of what Cryptic can do for creating a "canon" Odyssey uniform color scheme. :)

Eww nooo. Taco current scheme is fine, just need a pass to ensure all their trousers are the same and that there are no unnecessary kit pieces.

Thank you for removing some docks, appreciated and also thanks for moving those docks closer to ESD for consistency.

Is it possible to make the named ships around ESD patrol and remove the random ships on patrol?

The Bussard Collectors for the Vesta Class are white.

The lighting strip at the top of the docks spire needs a fade between colours like holodeck.

Can spotlights be added to the dock to add scale.

The collision box preventing people running up the glass at the shipyard is missing.

The collision boxes around the Dry Docks prevent entry.

PADD on the floor under Quinns desk. Quinn really needs a tidier assistant.

Lt. Cmdr Arut the Dil weapon contact is facing the wrong way and typing on a wall.

Turbolifts kick you out of the lift on arrival to the mezanine and the main level.

Ok. I was given the mannequin costumes. Bajoran Vedek Robes were one set of those. I'm sure they'll be swapped for something else later, but that's the way it will be for now.

I can't make the Sovereign/Odyssey/D'Kyr orbit in the space map. They will remain static.

Is it possible to make the named ships around ESD patrol and remove the random ships on patrol?

Not at this time. Plus I don't know that we need to clutter up space with more ships flying around. Besides, if they all moved, they wouldn't match the hologram in Ops.

The lighting strip at the top of the docks spire needs a fade between colours like holodeck.

    No. They don't.

Spotlights where? There are spotlights on every ship already, as well as light splashes around the upper rim of the bay.
