So, judging by the past few posts, rage has begun already? This playerbase has more complainers than anything I've ever seen.
This happened when the devs dont listen to the player base and dont give me the forum players are not players base because the ones that dont enter the forum just lave the game with out even said good bye.
Considering the hundreds of posts worth of feedback on the Galaxy family over in the shipyards, this has to feel like a slap in the face to some of the very well thought out and seemingly balanced ideas over there which went ignored.
I just fear that a lackluster response to the bundle will be read as - "Players don't like the Galaxy."

The only reason I haven't bought a galaxy retrofit is the boff layout. It meant that I couldn't bring my crew that I had been using since the galaxy refit, and I'm no power-gamer, but even I can easily see that the third ensign engineering power is all but useless. I know that people more into the game mechanics have come up with a bunch more reasons why people shouldn't use the retrofit, but the lack of crew continuity is what got me.
Let me add Exelsior, Sovereing, Avenger, Odyssey, Galor, Ferengi Ship (all lockbox and loby ships in general), all Klingon and all romulan ships, all escorts and wait.. all ships in the game... lol.. yes, the Galaxy R is the worst ship on the game and is going to be the worst ship in the game next week.
Now, if you are new in to the game I am going to tell you that the vets were waiting for this for 3 years.. and we got nothing.
We dont ask for a overpower scimatar build, but at least made it at pair with Sove or Excelsior (which are far away from been overpower)
Even if Cryptic were to take note that they've designed certain ships for content (content role) that doesn't exist in the game...they'd still face the issue of folks complaining that their particular favorite ship was assigned to a role they don't want...
i must stress, that it will be a TRAGIC missed opportunity if the station fliping tech introduced on the dyson ships isn't also applied to the 2 galaxys. no one could possibly disagree that the X should get a LTC tac stranded, seriously, so lets start from there. the station fliping dyson tec should modify the galaxy X like so

saucer sep is the perfect excuse for a station to be fliped, more so then any transformation. the galaxy X has precedent for fliping to a COM tac, because its considered a dreadnought-cruiser. and a dreadnought, sans the qualifier cruiser, is basically a cruiser with a COM tac, as seen on the jem dread and scimitar.
the galaxy R should be changed like so
unseped
COM eng
LTC eng LT tac LT sci ENS uni
seped
COM eng LTC tac LT tac LT sci ENS uni
this time your just flipping LTC and LT stations, and the galaxy R remains a true cruiser seped or not. id would say make the unseped LTC a sci, but i think that would step on the ambassador's and mirror heavy's toes to much.
the new 'relaunch' of the galaxy line, you could make it so good cryptic. please dont stop short of what these ships deserve.

It's kind of funny, the forum colors...they're different depending on whether you're using DVI or D-Sub. DVI they're soothing...D-Sub they're rage inducing.

Do you want to deal damage in a fed ship? Sove, Exc and Avenger are far better.
Do you want to tank or heal on a fed ship? The Ody and the Ambassador are far better.
And lets not even talk about the lockbox or lobi ships that made the Sove, Exc, Ody and Ambassador a joke.
What role the Gal R has? and the Gal X? The only one I see is to rolplay.
I just want this ship to be useful and at pair with the current ships.. or at least at 2013 standards. I dont care if is a healer, debuffer or dps.. I want to drive the Galaxy and feel useful.
I would spend my money if they update it with lt. commander universal station (instead of eng) and if they put 1 additional tactical console for fleet version.
Otherwise, I will continue using my fleet ambassador.
DDIS has pretty much nailed it on the head on the seat flipping. That'd actually make it amazing enough.
If not I'm going to say it's like cryptic gave an old house new blinds but forgot about actually fixing up the place. An extra console slot is miniscule in effort, marginal even if it was a tac slot. It needs a distinctness of its own and that's only going to come from something unique.
Hell, at least let the galaxy drive emit one aura, and the saucer another if you chose.. Or something.
BTW.. What's up with the galaxy drive? Upon separation it just looks like an awkward hot iron. Why isn't the arrowhead shape being left behind?

Perhaps, there should be limited time 'upgrade' options for people who already bought one of the ships to get the 3-pack at a reduced price - but only for a short time?
e.g. I have the T4 Refit Galaxy which costs 1500 Zen (If memory serves...) but I didn't fancy the Retrofit or Dreadnought at the time.

a couple of bug fixes for the galaxy and some very minor buffs to the dreadnought (type-8 shuttle bay? are you trolling?) does not justify $40 bundle
