    if they have been teasing about it for years, it stands to reason they will keep teasing about it for years to come. i dont see anything comng from it. but if in the event something came off it and went into the fleet version, then thats that, no point chatting it up even more until then.

    My best friend will be a very happy player when a fleet version eventually shows up.
    Not really my cup of tea, I never liked the "let's add more stuff" approach they took with the design. It lacks the simple elegance I see in the Galaxy design (feel free to disagree, I know not everyone likes its looks).

    The really sad part is that no matter what Cryptic does with the ship there will be people who complain it's not canon enough because it can't oneshot...well...practically everything.
    And they will probably make threads with lots of caps and exclamation marks complaining that its a DREADNOUGHT!!!!!!!!

    that's the biggest problem porting any super popular icon into a game. the smartest thing they could have done is not add it when they did. keeping players happy with stats is like trying to grant every wish in the world with a few hundred dollars. limited resources can only be stretched so far, so you can either grant one wish to it's fullest, or start to grant several without actually filling what they wanted.

    although the way i heard it, they arent going to release the galaxy X fixes until the animation/major bugs are finished. that includes the problem with the saucer separation causing the ship to completely stop. as the code for these ships are almost the same as the multivector console and the like, it's likely the finished galaxy X will arrive at the same time as patches to my multivector.

    There have been other clues that this will come in the near future. Lets just wskt and see. Getting too excited will just lead to dissappointment when it comes out and the only thing changed will be the now working seperation console and fleet stats. Its actually highly doubtful that the fed dread will be comparable to the scim so its propably not worth getting excited about another bad cruiser with bling that doesnt do anything. The lance will still have bad acc the turnrate will still be bad and the layout eng focused.

    The Turnrate was only an issue if I you took it in PvP or used a cannon build. But the Dilithum Mine Fleet consoles easily negated any turn rate issues.

    And who knows, maybe they could add Dyson SD tech to the G-X. So when you saucer separate, you gain Tactical BOFF stations and lose Engineering Stations, which makes it more similar to the Scimitar BOFF layout.

    Fleet Gal-X (and saucer separation for it) discussion is looming around for way to long to get excited by some cryptic comment. And in any case there is a good chance to have to grind up another fleet holding to tier 3 in order to unlock an inferior Avenger.

    As long as Fleet Gal-X means Fleet Guramba then I'm all for it.:P:cool:

    I wonder if they got saucer sep to actually work with the Gal-X behind the scenes then.:confused:

    I love that ship, it keeps the original Galaxy design adding some details here and there. But i will wanted more a different design (always keeping the original shape of course) since the Galaxy class one is already too much used. I like the ship, but i dont think i will ever get it. Too much federation already lol.

    So either Fleet Gal-X uses Gal-R console, or a new C-Store Gal X has its own sep console, that is, if it is coming.

    I suspect it will use the Gal-R console. Why? Because that'll mean you have to buy the Gal-R if you want saucer sep on the Gal-X. Same way that the Avenger can cloak but you need the Gal-X or the Defiant Retro.

    Word was that there were supposedly two big announcements coming this week, but from the patch notes we know that a Fleet Gal-X won't be coming on Thursday, unless it's not been mentioned.

    I do not fly fed but I hope it is true nonetheless. I am a fan of big heavy ships brimming with firepower. The scimitar opened the door for what could be done.

    And while they are at it.... A KDF dread would be nice too.

    If you follow twitter then you will know that was a player's ship that Trevor took a pic of and posted. It is part of his "Player Spotlight."

    In the December UGC Podcast Geko stated that the Galaxy X is finally going back on the schedule. He did not elaborate as to when it might be coming out though.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Well, as I said, I certainly understand it is coming, but it has been coming for 2 years now. Saying "stay tuned" does not mean it is eminent. It simply means it is somewhere on the horizon. I am only saying do not get your hopes up for it to be soon. All have known since late December was that it was finally added back into production schedule. It could come with Season 9 or with Season 9.5 some time in August, or any other time.

    One of my biggest issues with Cryptic is that they give some cryptic hint and then the fan-base runs with it in 100 directions. Then when the item finally gets here it is nothing what anyone had imagined and made wile speculations about in the months to its coming. Then people are disappointed and start the complaining cycle. All the vague teases and REDACTEDs do not do anyone any good, IMO. Our imaginations exceed their concepts. :)

    You have to understand that things come up, decisions have to be made, and sometimes it's smarter to push certain game element development projects back to make way for others. The fact is, more and more older content is getting revamped, so it is very likely that the Galaxy-X will get a revamp as well, even without the Facebook page's claim. And most importantly, they're running a company, and they don't take one of their employees lying lightly. If claims by the company are resurfacing like this, then most likely, it will come soon.

    It's a very good thing to be skeptical about something, but come on.

    Not really. Cryptic has a dozen irons in the fire. The news could be anything. If it is the Galaxy X, great! I am simply saying people should not let their imaginations run wile based on a tease.

    Oh that's very true , it's always dangerous to assume.
    I'm just saying that with the comments on facebook coupled with the announcement of something coming people have been waiting for , it's looking quite likely at this stage :)
