    I think this season update outages are unique. Normally we get a laggy experience get booted and possibly see a log in queue. This time it appears to be working flawlessly to give you a false sense of security and then bam, when you least expect it, offline.

    Maybe this isn't the game for me.

    To be fair to Cryptic, this isn't that common an occurrence, but it's a growing problem with their bigger updates. I missed the first two days of the last Winter Event, so don't know how that fared, but S07 was bad. It's normally a trafficking issue, more people going online*, more stress on the servers, 'pop goes the weasel'.

    Cryptic will get things sorted, even if it takes them a couple of days. It's annoying though. We all moan, but I get the feeling the Devs are probably doing one too; they can't get on their characters either!


    *By online I mean watching login screens cycle.

    Only thing I can think of is the new Season 8.5 alterations to the code might have had some seriously unexpected side effects once 'translated' into the Holodeck code from Tribble Test.
