Yeah, until Bran gets this "account unlock" thing straightened out with the devs for us, the only way to unlock it is to log in on each character while Arc is running. I did that last night. Fortunately, you keep the costume even after uninstalling Arc.

Yes, I'm guessing it'll apply retroactively for all the alts, and just applied it to one character on my account - as well as those of my siblings. At the very least, it should apply to the others when Arc becomes mandatory...

Everyone sees through this bribe to get the players to use ARC. Mandatory ARC means a lot of lost players and lost revenue for STO.

You people realize that downloading and using ARC for just the costume does indeed mean that ARCs download and log-in stats are rising, thus making it easier for them to justify the step of making it mandatory? ('X players already downloaded and use ARC')

I was already using it, and that before they promised a free costume.

PWE's been very clear about their intentions. Eventually it's going to be either Arc or Steam, so I decided to take the plunge when I got my new laptop.

I could've gotten around it, but chose not to. So in my case, the numbers weren't going to change any.

Although, since they're now forcing me to view their awful, busy, cluttered News page in their client, I'm half tempted to reconsider that decision. I want the old news format back.

^^ No, it doesn't. ARC isn't a big deal at all.

Thank you, Implementors. The Khan outfit is awesome, although I'm having a bit of trouble finding the head coverings...

I have one complaint about the new Khan costume... although I suspect the problem is more due to Off-Duty options for Gorn... Gorn feet is not an option, and it should be.

Unless this is a limited time promotion and info was messed up in between departments about this being account wide.

You should just log into each toon to be safe... if it does go account wide then future toons would be ok... why risk it.

Hmmm, I've been to 3 tailors, and I'm not seeing an "Off-Duty" button...?!#$^%$^

You need either an empty costume slot or if you don't have one you will have to modify an existing one. Click on the head tab then you should see off duty in top right. From there on in you should be ok. If you want the head scarf visor look the top most tab under head will grant you that. Khan's hair is included in the costume. Then go to uniform and select bare chest in the tab below that will slot in the upper part of the costume, then just go down for the pendaent, pants, boots etc.

However it is not available for some species such as Andorians.

I still had an open slot, so I had used "Create", but I'll follow the "Head" path when I get back online.

this new khan uniform is not much exclusive ... if you give it to everyone instead of just to beta testers that is not "exclusive" ??

also got an issue with the khan costume for the women, i saw another person with a female andorian wearing the bare chest top, no undershirt (a bit too much for sure). i think it would be a good idea for the female khan top to automatically come with the undershirt regardless.

The scarf and visor look can be implented from the most top option on the head options, should say humanoid

As you can see from branflakes post ARC is not MAC compatable at this moment.

As you can also see, I got it lurching. :) I would't have bothered, except that there was exclusive content.

I am seriously busting a gut right now over the ARC / spyware BS!
you guys need to get a life and stop watching "Enemy of the state"
you really think you and your collection of harry potter / TRIBBLE hashups you made on that friday night when you had far to much excitement for the day are of the slightest interest to anyone other than your dungeons and dragons groupies.
i have never heard such a load of self important, ego boosting "they are coming to get me" bulls*** in all my life.
If i was you i'd be more worried about being arrested for intelligence evasion than ARC looking at your TRIBBLE collection.

I do agree the new is cluttered and too busy, hopefully that will be on the to do list after beta.

Sorry but after due consideration and the fact that I purchased a copy of the game before it went free to play. I can safely say that despite how much I'd like the Khan uniform set I WILL NOT be installing ARC. Thank you very much
Oh, it's not broken? We can soon fix that!

If that is the case, then the outfit will only be available to characters that unlock it before Arc becomes mandatory. Consequently, some of my characters may eventually find themselves unable to access it anyway.

However, evidence suggests that any such items always end up being account-wide. Tribble testing rewards, all of the giveaways so far...

Edit: The IDIC tribble was one exception I cannot explain - but that went into the C-Store afterwards. :P

a little cleavage is what you should have. i dont mean to be offensive or disgusting towards and female members but this is like basically running around and you get a whole new meaning to Starfleet officers standing to attention and basketballs on the loose.

it would be alright for the orion females, they like to dress trashy but federation captains need to meet minimum dressing requirements at the least when on duty.

    Lol, fair enough.
I loved the Voth lobi outfit to, but then I felt like something out of a manga.
with the Khan, I can make the character look like a true bounty hunter/merc.

Are you the person who persuaded Cryptic to generic the character Major Cleavage in CO?

hahaha. nope. but seriously though, this is a game played by kids as well as adult, the minimum age printed on the box is a rating for 12 years of age and above.

The sight of some cleavage is not going to damage your child's fragile psyche. I promise.

I've got a Trill KDF char. Only reason I logged in today was to claim the ARC gift uniform and put it on her. Now, why is it that you can't do this? Why is it that Klingons can't have an off-duty uniform?

    Lame.

Here's one player who tried to come back and is repeatedly unimpressed.

So, I just push the buttons and things blow up? Fascinating...
