But if this is offical I doubt that they got Benedict Cumberbatch to voice over a character
and Benedict Cumberbatch makes even less sense if this isn't offical.

Just hope this Fugitive hasn't got the power to shut down STO servers if we don't solve the puzzles. :D

cumberbach's role as khan was left open to the next film, depending on his contract with BBC and what he has going for paramount with XIII. i doubt cbs could loan him out to sto anyways.

I said it doesn't make much sense, but conects Amar Singh and Arthur Conan Doyle very nicely.

Oh. Oh, that would be big.

Well, budget wise, it MAY be doable. Consider they got Quinto and Nimoy coming straight off the 2009 film. They got Dorn.

It seems like anyone who doesn't have an agent commanding a salary of $250k (like Stewart or Shatner probably do) is potentially fair game. Cumberbatch is big but he relies a lot on fan appeal at this point too so if Tom Hiddleston can show up as Loki at Comic-Con, maybe they were able to get Cumberbatch to record in a booth near a UK PWE office or on the side at a US appearance.

I could see it as a promotional anniversary event.

Maybe down the road, we'll get that Tom hardy as Young Picard/Wil Wheaton as Young Jack Crusher thing. (Maybe with a side of Felicia Day as a young Beverly Howard.)

Didn't Branflakes post a picture on twitter of a recording booth? Not that that means anything though.

So far, I've found "Conan," "Marx," and "6 of 12."

I've found other small words in there as well, but those were the ones that stuck out to me. Plus he said that we would be able to find one easily ("Conan").

Okay. I am sure it isn't this complicated but I'll have some fun with it:

    Marx. Communism.

    Borg. Communism.

    Communism. Red.

Conan. Written by Robert E. Howard.

Who created RED Sonya (not to be confused with the comic book Red Sonja based on his writing). Red Sonja is a 16th century Ukrainian mercenary.

    So detour away.

Assuming that the second word is "Marx" and it refers to Karl Marx, there actually is a link between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Karl Marx.

It's not by Doyle, but there is a book titled "The Case of the Revolutionist's Daughter" in which Sherlock Holmes meets Karl Marx and must find his daughter.

"Conan", "Crypt1c" and "Marx" are all contiguous. I'm not entirely sold on the last one just yet though. Would the implication be that Cryptic is bridging the two?

Actually, I just found "earth." It may be that.

That's a rather plausible find.. but what is the contiguous bridge between the two words? it's close, but not actually adjacent to "Crypt1c"
    The Third Clue

3 components are hidden within the grid.

Each component can be vertical, horizontal or diagonal.

Each component can be found in a forward or reverse direction.

All three are located separately but each is located in contiguous cells.

The 3 components are not contiguous to each other. Only the letters in each component are. At least that's how I'm reading it, since in the first puzzle "amar" and "singh" weren't close to each other at all.

    For anyone looking for it:

Start at the top of the puzzle (wts...) Go diagonally downward from the "s." you'll find "earth." in reverse.

Also, "6 of 12" is on the opposite side of the puzzle.

    Random thought:

Tricia Helfer played Six (of twelve Cylon models) in Battlestar.

She's done some other sci-fi and has done video game voiceover.

If they were going for crossover nerd cred, maybe they'd get Cumberbatch AND Helfer?

Peter Marx played a few bit parts on Trek. Including the Krenim Commandant seen before and after at the beginning and end of Year of Hell. He's mostly retired from acting. But he did do voiceover in a Grand Theft Auto game.

6 of 12 is a designation for this puzzle, so far we've got puzzle 2 of 12 and 8 of 12. I doubt it has any refernce to Cylons.

I think the 3 words are crypt Earth and Conan, which could mean there is a crypt somewhere on Earth where Conan (maybe an augment) is waiting in a stasis unit.

Okay so we definitely know 2 of the 3 components: "6 of 12" and "Conan. "Conan" has to be right based on the hint we got. "6 of 12" should be right because in the other puzzles the designation was a component. So we need one more.

    The likely candidates:
    1. Marx
    2. Earth
    3. Crypt
    4. Crypt1c

I think it's most likely "Earth."

Crash] In the Facility 4028 mission, you learn that James Fahri Mehra, aka Princep Khan, aka Inmate 79478, escaped from the prison while ISIS was down. Are there any plans to elaborate on this and the other ?Children of Kahn??

[Brandon] There is a STF from years ago that was never finished called ?Children of Khan?; it would be fun to revisit it in the future, but it?s not on the development schedule at this time. I imagine it would reveal more about what happened to Inmate 79478.
This pretty much rules out this being official, atleast about Children of Khan.

    Path to 2409:
The legal fight for civil rights for artificial lifeform hits a snag over the hologram known as "Moriarty." Alerted to its existence in a Starfleet computer, the Soong Foundation sues to have the program released into its custody. Attorneys for Starfleet argue that Moriarty and his companion are a security risk, and that the program's attempt to take over the U.S.S. Enterprise-D in 2369 allows Starfleet to keep it in indefinite custody to protect the public. "That's just imprisonment without a trial," argues Alyssa Cogley-Shaw, lead attorney for the Soong Foundation. "Since when did Starfleet turn into the Obsidian Order?"

Stofugitive hints at not being human (speaks of your neural pathways etc.). Can be an augment or a hologram. Feels something changed. He can sense. New holotechnology.
Stofugitive woken up by assault on facility 4208. Maybe by James Fadi Mehra and or Amar Singh. Or maybe he freed Princep Khan. They are definitely in league.

Moriarty is free of licence since shortly.

He speaks of meta-matrix-situation: the source of sto is cryptic and branflakes speaks for them. Altough his source is Arthur Conan Doyle on earth. He is now in our real world (on twitter) and he speaks of worlds come together: sto and real world. Sounds like a moriarty-type scenario.

Stofugitive quotes on his twitter-account: two times Khan, one time Sherlock.

    On the other hand:
He said to been present at Winterwonderland, so maybe not hologram. He did not look like Moriarty, if it is the one I saw.

Moriarty is public domain, but that case didn't impact any existing contracts based on him. CBS is still on the hook for all the royalties they already agreed to for Elementary, for example. All those contracts are still binding unless the signer can prove to a judge that the estate intentionally misrepresented the copyright status to them, something that even the recent case failed to do.

Cryptic would still need to clear it with CBS, who would need to review the old contract Paramount signed. It's entirely possible, maybe even likely, that the character could be freed up for Cryptic, but that's a ponderous and slow process that could have only been started a few days before this troll started running everybody around.

The sign of Four, by Arthur Conan Doyle. For the fourth anniversary perhaps?
Herein 4 convicts (amongst whom are Khan and Singh, but they are betrayed later) conspire for a crime at the Amar Singh Gate of the Agra fortress.
There are 12 chapters in the book.

Would Data be able to solve the puzzle?
