New BoP - Raider Buff

Seems like a missed opportunity for Cryptic not to have a new BoP that they can sell with the raider buff. So I propose this:
Heghta Retrofit
5 - 1 weapon slot
26500 Hull
0.85 shields
Cmdr, LtCmdr, Lt, Lt, Ensign(+1) - all universal
Consoles:
4 Tac - 3 Science - 2 Engineering
Fleet Heghta Retrofit
29000 Hull
.93 shields
4 Tac - 4 Science - 2 Engineering
Basically I moving 1 weapon forward ala Kumari, Scimitar and Avenger and adding 1 unversal slot. There is no reason why BoP should lose an ensign slot because it is all universal. Other P2W ships have universal slots too and besides ... most people slot Cmdr, Lt Cmdr for Tac, and Lt for Science and Engineering anyways.
I also made it more science oriented to allow some room for Hoh'sus (the ugly beast).

Honestly, if they give feds such a cloak / BC raider then I am done. I am actually fine with Feds getting a raider with NO cloak but extra speed as long as KDF gets its much delayed BoP. But a Fed BoP WITH cloak (any cloak) is one too many line crossed. As Picard says, "... this far NO further ..."

And who knows? There is a chance they may come out with a new BoP with all the talk of a new kdf 5 fore weapons ship and now the Raider changes being announced.
Personally I'd be happy if I could just use the Hegh'Ta skin on any of the Fleet BoP varients.
The Feds deserve to have a ship classified as a Raider, anyway: The Failquarius, BoP Without A Cloak. It's already used to being clamped on something's butt, it may as well feature butt-hugging as a mechanic.
That's pretty much it.
Instead of being happy that a type of ship that didn't really get much of an upgrade when the fleet versions came into play, perhaps THE most iconic Klingon type of ship in the canon universe is getting a buff, it's all about crying and complaining that the other side could be getting something, too.
As far as cloaks are concerned, all I can see is that a potential Fed-only raider (if they're ever going to release one) could get the ability to mount the Defiant's cloak console. If they had planned to go down a different way, to grant Fed built-in or even battlecloaks, they'd surely have done so with the Avenger.
Problem is that this kind of things are done in such a long time span (what is it, about 2 years since F2P?), like this vastly demanded raider buff, that when they finally come there're not many people capable to view as positively as one could.
I mean, isn't it like unappealing that to make a thing as giving a buff to something pre-existing took WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY longer than making at least 3 years worth of generic content? A simple buff.
It's like if Sony declared to make an updated version of the PS3 only AFTER having launched PS5 (and Sony infact didn't do that, but quite the opposite).... With the Cryptic this logic simply doesn't stand unless you look at economic profit that they might gain by putting out something newer than reworking something already exisiting, which anyway is not practical at all: delay a problem until you realize you screwed up enough stuff to actually take you the same effort in fixing it as when you made new content as a whole....
Some of you feds are real quick to jump on the cross and point fingers at KDF concerns and complain about our voicing them when you have just as many whines about similiarly stupid stuff.

my first thought when reading about a new raider mechanic in the breen ship was 'feds must be getting the "raider" class in some form or another, most likely the bop we have been wishing for with an escort skin'.
so yeah, i think youre right. there is no way cryptic would put any effort into anything that would primarily benefit the kdf.
as far as the feddies wondering why the kdf arent jumping for joy... well i, for one, know better. it says more about cryptics actions over the past years than it says about the kdf playerbase.

Let's see what it IS first, THEN deal with the details.
Remember, it won't have one of the biggest things that BoPs do: A battlecloak.
It all really does depend on how much they treated this Breen ship like a raider. Does it have a heavy or full uni layout? Is it more of a 3/3/3 mix with one extra console, or something else? 4 BOFFs or maybe even 5? Is it a 'raider' in name, but treated like an escort in stats?
Once the stats are posted later, then we can handle all that then.

There you are comparing the KDFs behaviour to that of the Feds again, trying to justify it. Bad behaviour on another factions or persons part doesn't justify ones own. It's the same kind of arguement that the TRIBBLE have been using to justify the holocaust. "Hitler wasn't soo bad, because Stalin killed a lot of people, too"
A large part of the vocal KDF community is simply eaten up with envy. They don't seem to be able to be happy for the things they get and would rather have the opposite side get something taken away, than to see both sides get the same benefit at the same time.
I for one am glad that my Hegh'ta is going to get some kind of utility and don't give a f*** if that same utility is going to be added to the Aquarius, Sabre or even a Scimitar.
Right now we have nothing but empty words that lack any substance so we will have to take a wait and see stance has to what is to come from this new Raider Mechanic.
Like many others outside of the yet to be released Breen Raider, I hope that the Feds do not get any Raider class vessels although technically the Marquis Raiders were Federation vessels.
I just cannot see Cryptic creating a New Raider Mechanic and not giving the Federation player base multiple options of vessels to use the Mechanic with.
Maybe we will see the introduction of 2409 Marquis Raiders or the reclassification of the Defiant to a Raider class vessel :P
Has for the Breen Raider, I am hoping that it will be a useful open faction vessel .
If it is, then I will throw up my hands and scream "DONE!" and walk away, as it would be the final nail in the coffin for the KDF being unique in any way.
