God, yes, do I want him as a BOff. A..... Voth BOff.
A... VOff?
Yes, wow, so good.
But yeah, my desire still stands. It'd make sense, too. We already can get Voth DOffs from Spire Projects and Voth Lockboxes.
But at the beginning of each new Rep Tier, we have a moment with this guy. We get to know him and his ideas and his fears. We get a feel for who he is as another sentient being.
It'd make perfect sense to recruit him as a Bridge Officer. Plus, there's precedent to the idea of sympathetic Voth. I think it'd be a splendid reward.
You can get to T5 rep this soon by slotting 16 small projects a day in addition to the big one. Then it takes 21 days.... of doing nothing else but grinding stupid STO reps.
Also, to all people who did this and now want a reward this early: you deserve nothing, since you didn't do anything productive all day but played STO. Get a life...

I would be very happy if special reward will be voth boff.:)
The T5 cutscene is still in development. Once we get it out to players, watching it will also allow you to claim your T5 rewards. This includes:
750 Dyson Marks
32,000 Dilithium Ore
40,000 Energy Credits
A large amount of expertise
And a special reward we can't reveal just yet
The above is subject to change, but that's the current plan.
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
Wow, just wow. Cryptic designs a new Rep system, can do the math with regard to how quickly a player can get to the final tier - yet FAILS to have the final piece of content ready in time for that date?
You'd think the person who schedules and prioritizes new content development woukd at least know of the drop dead date; or you'd at least have a notification to the player who reached T5 that there will be a reward coming in the game.
It's really funny how STO Dev management thinks with their claim of, "We don't want to make the game frustrating for players..."; yet they'll release something that takes time and effort for players to complete with the final reward unfinished, and not really give that a second thought.
Doesn't really paint STO development management in a good light. Between that and the substandard QA testing practices that remain (and I'm actually not fault the actual QA testers themselves because they just follow policies handed down by management) <-- And I base that on the video card issues that were allowed to make it to live TWICE over two months (which I wasn't affected by myself, but as someone who's done business programming professionally, it's easy to recognize when a business HAS substandard practices); I'm really amazed that neither Cryptic/PWE executive management isn't really taking action to see this type of thing corrected.
But, maybe it's the executive management that's the problem here as they set the overall tone for Cryptic's internal corporate culture.

If it was just him as a doff then the secrecy would be unnecessary.
Until we see what we really get, we don't know whether the secrecy is necessary.
Or if it's really secrecy in the sense of not telling us what the reward is for suspense purposes, or more in the sense of "there's no choice but secrecy, since we haven't figured out what the reward is ourselves yet."
That sort of thing can happen when you futz around until the last possible second...
Cryptic underestimated the sheer grind savvy of its playerbase if they didnt finish t5 rewards yet.
As surprised as I am that someone has literally doubled the amount of rep I have earned on my main, there was no doubt in my mind SOMEONE would do it.
That being said, it is an extreme improbability mathematically, said person would have had to log into the game 14 times (or played that many hours, or a combo) out of every 24 hour period since Season 8 release to have mathematically reached 100,000 dyson rep as of this post.

Lol got to love the dedicated people reaching T5 so soon.
Utter fail on Cryptics part, this should have been complete upon release, not do some then make it up as you go along....
I sure hope you guys have some fantastic mission to add for completing it. Another Nukara zero story reputation would suck
*crosses fingers* Please let it be a mount...
Considering it's special and "secret," it could be Nelen Exil as a boff, or a generic Voth Boff. Worst case it could probably be a Voth doff with some unique gimmick.

Thanks for the reply looking forward to the special reward.
I wouldn't rule that out as another item down the line. The Voth cutscenes pretty much prepare you for a BOff though.

The Voth Scientist or Tovan?
The Rep shouldnt have been released unfinished, especially knowing how we as a generalized group tear through content.
Its poor form.

Any word on when I'll be able to fly under the spire in the Voth zone and finish this accolade?
Listen to him.

Season 8 Launched Nov 12.
That was 20 days ago. That is 24 possible 20 hour rep projects
That is 24 * 2500 = 60,000
Thats 40,000 to do in the hourlies...
40,000/150 = 266 iterations
266/20 days = 13.3 iterations/day
So 14 to pick up the partial. 13/14 hours A DAY to have reached it right now.

First thing that came into my head too.
Our "Pen pal" will likely need a new home.
Which is funny when you consider, they've turned us into Grinding masters.
that is some serious grind-fu.
