+1 to Cryptic on this one. Haven't had much to be thankful about for Season 8 but this is a nice consolation prize.

    Gowron said it best:

There will never be a show based off of TNG again they are fineshed if their is to be TV show it will be more like JJ if you kept up with the news like I do.TNG is dead and you can thank Rick Bermon and Ron Braga for that.
If you really kept up with the news you would know that Michael Dorn is working on bringing Worf back to TV.

I read the interview. Definitely gets big thumbs up from me. He was a huge part of DS9 (2nd half) and way under utilized on TNG.

Fridays are now Hawaiian Shirt Days at Cryptic.

This actually made me laugh out loud for a good 30 seconds, and its a very rare reaction for me here. Bravo sir.

I think a vast majority of the players found it to be incredible epic, but again, everyone will have a different view of what is "big news" to them.

Regardless, it was still "big" news, which is the adjective I tweeted ;) The proportion was enlarged by the speculation in this thread, which I admit was very exciting to watch.
We have a big #STO announcement coming next week! Stay tuned to our Site, Twitter feed, and Facebook page for details!

IMO: Dorn's VO = Big = Beyond Epic

    Cheers,

I for one wouldn't mind more announcements like this. More trek actors reprising their roles through a voiceover means not only some trek nostalgia, but also some new story focused content. For me personally that's always great news and I hope Cryptic will be able to bring back more actors in the future. John de Lancie would be a great addition for all the events and such. :)

You know what would've been epic. Worf arriving at the head of a fleet of new KDF C-Store ships. 1-2 three packs and maybe some other spare ones.

But nice to see him ;) (although yes, he could speak a little faster).
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

...But thats impossible...the kdf evidently have no capability to create new ships and are perfectly content to fall behind even the space hobos, err romulans according to cryptic

Me, two...I thought that suspension of additional KDF ship development was just a setup for it.

My second guess was FORMALLY merging the KDF and Feddies, since there isn't much distinction between the 2 now.
    NO to ARC

Well you and I work from very different books... Michael Dorn's VO work is epic enough for me! Worf has always been one of my favorite Next Gen characters and to hear his voice work along with the incredible job they've done on the character graphics is just great! :D... NOW... if they'd just redo the KDF tutorial with Michael as Worf and James Sloyan as K'Mtar... OMFG!!!

I would finally have a reason to make a Klingon char. More VOs from the old cast would definitely be great, and this is pretty big news. Like, to be fair to those involved, Leeta wasn't a thing, as cool as it was... Worf is a whole 'nother level. People love Worf. They brought him back for DS9 because he was so awesome. More Michael Dorn, more anyone main-cast.

I wonder what Brent Spiner is up too?

I would call it cool, not epic. Epic would have been in this instance if he had done the VO work for all existing and new Worf dialogue in the game.

They mentioned that Dorn did all VO work for Worf in game, including the old stuff. They just didn't update it yet.

This ---^ We hope to get the others hooked up in-game in the near future. As you can imagine, there are a lot of lines, and we needed to get "Sphere of Influence"'s lines hooked up first.

If this is 100% correct it could go a long ways to making up for dinos with lasers. Thanks Branflakes.

I wouldn't mind Tim Russ reprising Tuvok again; it's funny hearing him voice Harrison Blake in The Secret World.

I thought it was very cool. Please thank Mr. Dorn for doing it, and see if he will encourage others to do voice overs. I know I'd pay for a bunch of things for a special Captian Kirk mission!
