Joejing mentioned in the foundry roundtable podcast that Caitian manes are one of the more one-off suggestion types, which means it goes down farther on the lit unfortunately.

Honestly this isn't surprising. Cat base was always a minority. Oh well, maybe one day.

Just watched a character creation vid for Khajiit in ESO, and am now particularly annoyed at the lack of options for Caitians.

Can we please get some new hairstyles and fur patterns Cryptic? You're getting shown up.

khajiit have always had excellent customization options in all elder scrolls games from morrowind onward (well, except oblivion, but that character creator was a disaster all around)

and that's just the stock options; modders added tons more

I doubt we'll ever get that much customization for cats. With only 3 people on the character art team atm many species will probably not see anything. We are just now finally getting tailor issues fixed on a regular basis now that Joejing is leading the charge.

Still, i fully support the idea of adding more hairstyles to Caitians and Ferasan characters. Something mane-like similar to the hair-piece worn by Lieutenant M'Ress in Star Trek TAS would sound legit enough to me, as well as dread-style hair options for male Caitians, and possibly mohawk-like options for Ferasans.

I think in terms of everyday work ware they would use what is currently available, off duty it's more open to interpretation.

I always thought of everyday ware to be along the lines of the Risan beach comber look with added wraps for the ladies. I know a lot of people talk about loincloths but I think they are a 24th century race, and like we don't ware loincloths today I don't think they would either.

This picture is from a 2012 CNN article about how the growth of a traditional African religion as threatening leopard populations.

As for what I would expect Caitian civilians to wear... light-weave, loose-fitting clothing in solid colors like white or red. Swishy stuff, but not too swishy. And not a pocket to be seen. :P

    I was only joking. :P

I think tribal-style stuff would be a bit fiddly for Caitians: too many beads, necklaces, and dangly things dangling everywhere. I would imagine they would want something simple that doesn't get in the way, especially when they're doing something athletic, but with a bit of swish for added flair.

    Yeah. She's nuts.
