I don't know... either they have gone totally insane, or this is some kind of deliberate attempt to irrevocably ruin PvP... or what's left of it.

Lol @ Unspeakable Energy. You'd think they might realize something might be off if they're going to name something that.

I'm stuck on whether or not to get this console.

Do I keep Leech for the AMP warp cores (which will let me get ~13.2% damage increase on, probably, my base damage)? I'd also get slightly more damage because of the slightly higher Aux for my T4 Nukura reputation.

Or do I go for the 15.2% CrtD when I already have ~78% passive CrtD and CrtDx3 (70%) on my DHCs? I'd still get a 3.3% damage increase from the AMP warp core, and would get an occasional bump to 6.6% when my DOFF kicks in. Would get a slightly lower Aux, thus slightly lower T4 Nukura reputation bonus.

    Decisions, decisions...

I'm still hurting from the /facepalm about the Subspace Torpedo working with TS.

    100% To-Hit
    10% Disable 2 sec

Because they care about PVP? Seriously, maybe 2% of the population participates in it, why would they nerf items because of what 2% of the population thinks?

The other 98% of the pop contains ALOT of paying players who will spend money on this stuff, I am happy for the addition of this wonderful lockbox and the contents within!

    Thank you Cryptic!

It's very brave of you to admit that you're so bad at a game as to need things like this when most folks are able to do the content in RA ships with a hodgepodge mix of mission loot. Kudos to you...kudos to you - yes, very courageous indeed.

edit: Cause I've got no problem admitting that I suck at both PvP and PvE, but even I wouldn't say I need all this stuff...

you probably can't see the forest for the trees

P.S.45.000hp hull with rsp on gone in a second from crf2 with elachi dhc...gj cryptic ,the game is officially lol

It's kind of confusing, because I could have sworn that they said that it overwrote the normal Disruptor proc - but - it doesn't actually appear to have a Disruptor proc according to the tooltip. They're more like the Piercing Tetryon weapons, eh?

It's a Piercing Disruptor Damage weapon w/o the Disruptor Proc, eh? Something to allow you to work in some Disruptor procs with these from other weapons while using the same Induction Coils?

Fore: Crescent DBB, 3x Crescent DHCs
Aft: Nanite Turret, Polarized Turret, Elite Fleet Turret

    That sort of thing...?

I did some tests tonight in private challenge and the dot is really "per-shot". I mean, if i hit the target with 10 hits, f.e. with cannons, there is a 2.5% to proc the elachi dot only on 1 single hit (that will have the 100% shield penetration and -50% damage resistance). The next hits will have a 5s of immunity from elachi dot and so on...
It's not so powerful to me anyway, you have to hit the target with a critical at the end of his hull if you want to be effective with this dot, otherwise you won't do much damage.
Normal disruptors or nanite ones are still better weapons imho.

On the contrary, the universal console is... is... LOL :D

For those of us who use Beam Overload, these new weapons are great! The trick is to use only the elachi disruptor for the DBB, then use Nanite disruptors for the cannons. The proc won't be on cooldown when you Overload, but now you get a chance to one-shot someone enshrine. Imagine a doff that said: 2.5% Chance your beam overload will ignore shields. Is that, only built into the weapon!

    Pew Pew!

    Set 3: Haywire

    * Gain a Haywire Charge every 10 seconds (up to 3 max).

*For each Haywire Charge: 5% chance to reflect up to 50% (pre-resist) of one incoming energy damage back to the target in the form of a Disruptor Pulse (100% Shield Penetration)

    Unspeakable Energy

Maximum number of Haywire Charges increased to 6, and increased the chance to trigger to 10%

**Only works on an Elachi Starship

    3 charges x 5% = 15%

    6 charges x 10% = 60%

IDK what's more depressing, a 60% proc or my lack of surprise at a 60% proc.

That is not how the math works.

    Actual chances:
    3 charges @ 5% = 95% chance per charge nothing happens = 1 - 0.95^3 something happens = 14.26%

    6 charges @ 10% = 90% chance per charge nothing happens = 1 - 0.9^6 chance something happens = 46.85%

The most effective use of the new Elachi weapons is to use a single DBB so that you can get the proc on a BO and not just waste it on a DHC hit. Use the nanite DHCs.

Agreed. Elachi weapons are perfect as a supplement for a mixed build of different (nanite/elite) disruptor weapons. Don't buy elachi turrets for example, they just waste the proc with their abysmal low damage.

They need to buff these new Elachi weps. Five seconds is way too long. I think 2 seconds would be better. =)

or 4 DHCs for pure DPS hoseing. the fact that turrets are selling at the highest price of all has got tho be the surest sigh of pve'er stupidity so far.

The elachi lobi torp has a 10% chance to stun for 2 seconds (buffed by subd looks like.).

It definitely has a chance to stun on TS, not sure about the %.

HYT is destructible like a plasma. There doesn't seem to be an splashback on it but it won't launch from under 2k. And oh yeah, as far as I can tell, the stun on it is 100%. So there's that.

Also the T'Varo beach ball that cools down all the stuff it shouldn't works on the subspace black baseball.
That is not how the math works.

    Actual chances:
    3 charges @ 5% = 95% chance per charge nothing happens = 1 - 0.95^3 something happens = 14.26%

    6 charges @ 10% = 90% chance per charge nothing happens = 1 - 0.9^6 chance something happens = 46.85%

Yeah I get that's how it should work. But that's also how it should work for 3 purple doffs and it doesn't. W/E, 46% per shot. Stupid.

If the charges are consumed when the disruptor pulse triggers, ok. If not, then you're going to pulse again the second the internal cd is done, if they even bothered with one.
