Got a new one for you.

On my new KDF alligned rommie, when using the Romulan/KDF costume option, this seems to revert to the standard Romulan republic uniform at random.

When I tried to click on my char icon to change it, I had two republic uniforms, instead of one republic uniform and one Romulan/KDF uniform...

Clicking on the Romulan/KDF uniform only brought up the republic uniform.

I had to go to a tailor and create a new Romulan/KDF uniform, and this has stuck for now.

I first noticed this bug whilst doing the Nimbus III story, but not sure if that has anything to do with this bug...

Linked colors are an old bug. The problem also occurs with Fed and KDF characters. This is what I suspect is happening. When boffs are randomly generated by the game, sometimes the colors of different costume parts are linked so that the boff has a consistent look. This linking remains as part of the boff.

You should be able to take a screenshot by typing the command in the Chat window (no external programs required).

    Details here.
Okay, that might be of help, as the screenshot via "print" button apparently doesn't work inside the Tailor's booth anymore.

Looks like there's some underwear peeking through...

And while changing clothes, I came across this:

^^ Mirror Belts / Formal Dress "belt" thing sorta look odd :/ might be me... but I thought I'd throw it up and see what you guys think.

Yes that's the "Marilyn Monroe Effect" caused by your tailor preview area being over an open grate.

Ah, it seems I should have brought my point up here. LibBorg Romulan, wearing the Work Boots, missing all the other colors the boots should have. Screenshot evidence as follows.

Funny thing is that you can see this effect almost everywhere... Seems to be quite drafty in ESD, for example... ;)

Some suggestions came to my mind...

    1. A shoe pack, usable in all slots (uniform, off duty & formal).

    2. I'd love to see some hats.

    3. An off duty/formal slot for our BOFFs.
Looks kinda odd IMO to see someone running around in formal wear with a BOFF (or even a full set of them) in full armor at their tails...
And the Mercenary gear would definitvely look way better if the BOFFs could wear it, too.

If any of the above has already been mentioned before, my apologies. The search function doesn't seem to like my enquiries.

Happy to find this thread! Bang on!

I don't know if its been mentioned, but...
The Federation Ambassador/Diplomat a KDF player receives from completing the diplomatic Doff chain is flawed. It cannot be changed and and outfit or physical changes revert it to its default setting. I have checked this on 3 characters plus 2 more from fleet members.

I have not found a trick to fix this.

Hello everyone, thanks for your added posts.

I'd like to request that people please
DO NOT include the pictures directly in the thread,
just post links to your photos.

Too many photos makes the thread hard to read (especially when people start quoting/re-posting the pix). If you have already posted pictures (or quoted someone how has), please go back and change the photos to links-to-photos. Thank you.
    Okay, here they are...
Looking at your pictures, it does seem that your clipping is related to the "failure" in the engine I was talking about earlier, where extreme body shapes causes clipping. Still, if they're gonna allow a uniform to be worn by a body it should accommodate whatever shapes that body can take. I've added to the OP.

I added your first two suggestions. The third was partially there in the listing of "Allow Bridge Officers access to Off Duty uniforms." (it doesn't take a search to find it, just read the OP :P). I did, however re-word that entry to be: "Allow Bridge Officers access to all unlocked clothing including Off Duty uniforms, Formal Wear, Rep Armor, etc."

Also, already in the OP under this listing: "KDF Marauder BOff Outfits can't be changed" :)
Ah, it seems I should have brought my point up here...
I re-worded one of the existing entries in the OP about the RR having incosistant Tailor Pallets to include this one, and added a link to your post in that report. The new option now reads: "Romulan Republic have Inconsistent Tailor Pallets and Color Squares that are Broken, Extra, or Missing"

It's a poorly worded, so I'll need to rethink the phrasing... Hmm...

I'm having a big problem with the tailor on my new Fed character that I made for a Youtube video series. My science officer, specifically the one you get from a very early mission, the first science officer you obtain through the game's missions, is completely bugged. It may not be that officer specifically, because I have tried replacing her three times, with different science officers, to no avail. I've verified my game files after every instance, but that has done nothing.

Every single time I select the officer in the tailor,my game just crashes. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem with new characters, but it isn't happening on my three level 50s, so it might be something new. The character appears normally in ground missions and dialogue, and her abilities work fine, so the officer is working normally. The tailor is the source of the problem.

I wonder if you're experiencing this problem, which seems to be affecting more than just Romulan BOffs (if you read through the thread). Apparently a resolution has been found and is pending release.

I think it might be, it seems there is a problem with the third Boff slot specifically. Thanks for the information, I hadn't seen that thread until now.

It doesn't take this extreme form to cause the clipping, though. By testing, I found that the "Off Duty Science Officer" we can meet on Risa is about the maximum figure these outfits can bear. Around the waist, that is. I haven't encountered any problems in the upper section, yet.

Well, the search function sometimes includes my optical sensors and processing unit... :P

I don't think the soft boots are missing--I think they were replaced. If you look closely, the boots for the Romulan TNG uniform are the soft boots. I wonder if because they're now selling these, they could no longer provide them free to everyone?

No worries... I didn't consider that it could be done or how it might make the thread difficult to read. So I'm just noting that request going forward. If you can change yours to links it would be helpful.

They are missing for male characters if you want to add them to a costume (if the are already on a costume they remain until you attempt to edit that costume). When they added the "TOS" Romulan uniform they added "Romulan 22nd Century" Boots which are copies of the Soft Boots. For all I know, instead of just copy/paste they did a cut/paste, or the equivalent.

As for the selling/offering free... I paid for my Soft Boots, several times over actually. I've purchased every uniform pack in the C-Store (either directly or via a promotion), several of which came with the Soft Boots.

You might want to add this bug to the list:

    http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=808751

Several players have reported that the game client crashes when they change between list, small preview, and large preview in the tailor.

      Klingon Bortasqu Uniform Issues
The Bortasqu uniform is missing the Shoulder Pads and I believe the Sash displayed on the mannequin near the First City Tailor. Also the Wrist Attachments color selection is "broken" - There are certain color squares that should be changing the color of the metal, and others that should be changing the color of the inner parts (the "leather"?), but instead they are changing the top-half and bottom-half of the attachment.

Specific photo examples are coming soon.
I've found the belt of the basic Bortasqu Uniform to hover around the waist of my Alien girl like it would be a (slightly strange looking) hoola-hoop loop. Also felt like it would be a bit high on the waist, across the lower ribcage. But even if it were somewhere around the belly area, it still would be way too wide.
I haven't managed to get a decent shot of it, yet, where you can actually see the issue.

I do think when someone puts such effort into a thread like this, a dev should really do them the courtesy of stopping by and giving the OP a read, and then leave a comment so everyone knows it has been viewed.

I've been affected by the locked costume slots, missing pieces from the KHG costume and know of others with these issues in my fleet. Colour palettes are messy on some pieces and the categories of costumes have costume parts in that don't make sense.

Hopefully a dev will do the right thing and leave a comment here saying what's being sorted :)

I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.

M.A.C.O. Striker (Adapted M.A.C.O.) Colour Palettes
      Character Name: Celnet@Jeff-El
Faction, Race, Gender: Federation Benzite Male
Affected Costumes: M.A.C.O. Striker costume pieces
      Notes:
The colour options that control the "accent" colours (the glowy bits around the shoulder pads, etc. - the equivalent of the "blue or black" option of the other M.A.C.O. gear) are limited to the same "four shades of grey" options of the rest of the M.A.C.O. gear. The only exception is on the Striker boots, which instead provide a full colour palette (not just black/blue, but red, yellow, green, blue, etc.).
You're right. The work here is very important.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a character artist who frequents the forums (devs aren't required to). Branflakes has said he compiles feedback from the forums regularly, so we have to be positive and hope this thread has been noticed!

For about the last 6 months or so, the only Devs showing any attention to the Forums are the Almighty Tacofangs (May his shell ever be crunchy!) and Crypticfrost. Taco's an environment artist, I believe, and seems to enjoy chatting with the players. Frost works on the Foundry. There are others who pop-in rarely (like Borticus or ThomastheCat), but some of the other frequent posters have vanished (there hasn't been a Dastahl in over three months (before LoR launched)).

I fear it's because too many people blast them anytime they show their face in the forums. It's just sad, really. Dev/player interaction was one of my favorite things about STO. I really miss it.

When I first opened the thread I had a typo in the title, so I PM'd Branflakes. I asked if he'd fix the title and forward the link to the responsible parties. He wonderfully replied, that the title was fixed, but made no comment as to the thread's contents or if the feedback was forwarded.

Anyway, all I can do is keep the thread alive, keeping track of any related changes, etc. And in that regard: To the people who've posted more bugs/etc., I haven't forgotten about you/ignored you... I'll be collating your input and updating the OP as necessary, soon.

Regarding Bortasqu' uniform: No Fleet Emblem option, no KDF Badge options. Seems a bit silly to exclude the Fleet Badge from a Fleet-earned uniform, doesn't it?

Korath uniform: No Fleet Emblem option, no KDF Badge options.

Winter coats: No KDF Badge option (which, unlike the Fed's, appears on the arm, and should not interfere with the design!)

I'd like to report an issue with the Risa Beachcomber outfit on my KDF Romulan Borg. Where bare legs are supposed to appear under the cutoff pant legs, there is nothing. You cannot set bare feet as an option, so you end up with empty shoes and invisible legs.
