I have never watched it (will eventually get there, still need to see the rest of TNG, DS9, most of VOY before ENT)

Love that song and oh I thought of something else...the bad guys could be those people from Work Force where they had the entire crew brainwashed to work for them.

Processing plant? That planet looks really Earthike

Thanks for the feedback and concern, cidstorm. The goal was definitely not to hide it but ensure it was seen with the context of the article and Daniel's discussion on the future of STO. To ensure it's more visible and encourage more participation, this line has been added to the front page excerpt: Also, don't forget to follow the link to the forum post at the bottom of the article to participate in our latest poll!

You know, you guys COULD use STO's in-game Bulletin system to let players know this poll (and or the 'State of the Game' blog) is up on the main STO site.:D

For the winter event, I was thinking that instead of snowmonsters, we could have a PvP-ish type event.

Think of a massive snow fort being assaulted by a snow-pirate ship (complete with snow cannons of course).

Anyways, that bit of artwork you have there is amazing! Also the news about what's coming in the next few months is most welcome.

I hope the reputation updates make the grind less painful. Other than that some exciting news. Wasn't expecting a new featured episode.

Great article, I still can't even reach the login screen using the old launcher or the new ARC launcher. I am going to try the Steam launcher shortly. If I click on the old launcher, nothing happens. If I click on PLAY in the ARC launcher, nothing happens. HELP!

For the poll, I noted that The Animated Series wasn't an option. Cryptic confirmed that it does have access to most of that resource as well. So I'll assume we can slip that under The Original Series. There is still much within both to mine toward overall content.

For the next big baddy? I'm hopeful for the Voth. They may want Earth back. As their Doctrine might have finally concluded Earth is more important to them than once thought. And it would prove interesting if the Voth and Gorn were revealed to be cousins. So that would bring KDF into the story. And since the Republic now has vested interests in both the FED and KDF, they might not like the Voth upsetting any progress on those fronts.

Go figure! What I vote for is in last place. STO has some amazing looking TOS maps and there are so many aliens from that series we have yet to see in STO. I would really like a mission to return to Talos IV and get to interact with the Talosian's and Chrisopher Pike.

    *Drool*

    :) That would be cool
Hopefully I'll come back from my break; this break is fun; I play intellectual games.

The aliens from Workforce actually aren't very likely. They didn't establish to have the tech to cross the galaxy to us, and no real reason TO do it. I see two possibilities: The Vaadwaur (From Dragon's Tooth), not as likely as the second option because of their status as still rebuilding and likely not strong enough to fight us; and the Voth, the hyper-advanced dinosaurs from Distant Origin.

The Voth have the ability to get here (Transwarp), their tech is advanced enough to threaten us (they have superior cloaking technology and can beam whole starships), and a reason to attack; that is, to destroy the evidence of Gegen's Distant Origin theory, because they believe they were the first advanced race in the Delta Quadrant and thus had a claim on their space by heritage. They refused to accept the Distant Origin theory when a human and plenty of evidence stood right in front of them, even going so far as to threaten the destruction of Voyager and the imprisonment/execution of everyone on the ship. I'm willing to bet the FE is a Voth scout ship finding us and trying to report back to the Ministry of Elders.

Not related to S8, and directed at the poll, I want Voyager. GIVE US THE DELTA QUADRANT.

I, too, would like to see more Enterprise related material. I'd totally buy the upgraded NX class or some other Earth era ship.

There are a few designs from the JJ-verse that would be cool as well. The Kelvin-class was pretty cool.

But wasn't there planet all desert, Memory Alpha:

explorers from another galaxy inadvertently damaged the atmosphere of the planet Ocampa so badly that all nucleogenic particles were lost, thus rendering the atmosphere incapable of producing rain. The planet rapidly became a desert.

After watching the episode "Fury", Where kes used the Voyager's warp core to go back in time. I'm not exactly sure whats not possible for that species to achieve.

I voted TOS. Classic Trek is still the Best Trek for me.

Also, if more costume sets are being considered? Can we have the Space Hippy clothes? and the musical instruments as Melee weapons?
[Partially because I think male boffs dressed like that would be hilarious, and cause the Russian chick in the glue-on top was hawt. :P and stabbing a Borg to death with a Vulcan Lyre would be epic. ]

MACO uniforms/weapons, Beam turrets, the NX interior, Andorian Ushaan-Tors, Sulibon Boffs, the underground city on Andoria, a flyable elachi escort, and more freighters (especially ones that can disconnect from their cargo and defend themselves a little better), everything I want would be classified under "Enterprise."

Hrm big bad Voyager enemy, I can only think of those great big robot ships from the 'Prototype' episode which Voyager ran away from with its tail between its legs. Those things would definitely be a STF material.

    And a nice read..... SWIMWEAR ! :) Next year ! :(

I wonder who that terrible enemy from Voyager might be..... Talaxians ?!:D

I've long been thinking the Vaadwahr need to make a return. That two parter ended with a loose thread. They would be a great enemy to pop in for a featured episode.

    Brandon!

Use the holosuites on DS9 to let us 'reenact' missions from shows and movies with the ships of the period and maybe some fun voice over as developed.

Make this charge GPL and have accolades or special clothing or trophies for completion. It would give meaning to GPL and let you guys develop some fanboy stuff that is not too new concept heavy.

I had a very bad thought. They are putting the New Episodes in the Rep System and we have to grind to unlock them.
