You know I voted for DS9 just because I love it but didn't really think about the question. I would re vote Voyager, first not much has been done on it and the fact they had the Kazon and the other vast aliens and new space area would be cool to venture too. To play a series where you are actually away from DS9, ESD, etc would be awesome.

As far as I am concerned we definitely need more of Enterprise.

I'd love to see a Suurok Class Vulcan ship in game. it is a multi mission ship so i'm sure it would make a good ship in game. an engineering, science and tactical variant.
    http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Suurok_class

I'd also like to see a Constellation class skin for the Heavy Cruiser and a Deadalus Class skin for the Research Science Vessel
I'd also like to see more focus on the progression of the story and the undine stf before the Cardassian faction is released.

Finally I would love to see the return of DS9 Under Siege and the introduction of the delta quadrant.

Keep up the excellent work cryptic.

For a future expansion i was hoping for the jem'hadar seeing as we already have more in game items and ships for them then any other non player faction, it would be a little less to do i guess, here's hoping.

I believe the Vulcan ship is already in-game as the Surak-Class

Hrm big bad Voyager enemy, I can only think of those great big robot ships from the 'Prototype' episode which Voyager ran away from with its tail between its legs. Those things would definitely be a STF material.

Since in the Voyager series we were introduced to multiple new species I think we should put in more of those ships and species.

Although DS9 has my favourite selection of ships, characters, species, and stories, that's not really what the question is asking.... after all, we already have extensive game elements regarding the Cardassians, Dominion, and Breen.

I think Voyager deserves a bit more of a focus. I'm glad that this 'deadly new enemy' is one from Voyager, although it is not specifically clear if the enemy is a whole race or just a single person/ship.

Personally, I'm hoping for either the Vaadwaur or the Krenim, but other interesting options include; the Nacene (Caretaker), Devore, Kazon, Malon, Vidiian, or Voth.

Wonder what the control art is of? Something Iconian? Voth? Viidian?

I would guess that it's some sort of Iconian "resource extractor" ship,
perhaps with built-in gateway capabilities. Looks awesome. :)

all sounds good. i just hope if enterprise wins they do a xindi faction, of course not in the near future, but one where there not at war with the kdf but have skirmishes with the federation. so there not allied with ether the feds or the kdf, make it interesting for pvp. pulse it would have a lot of interesting story missions, with the sphere builders, future involvement, and ect

    A surprise indeed.

Keep chasing down bugs! And if would pretty please.. we stiff have a few graphics related issues kick'n KDF side need fixing. And please, get us some more costumage KDF side. The Formal and semi formal opening up are great. But we could really use some more..

And a bit more ability to mix and match. We Orion females still want to be able to wear boots with our loin cloths.. and slide us a bare foot option there too. (makes sense)
and differerent loin cloth patterns, cuts.. sme with the tops of course..and same same for the rest of the KDF too!

Okay, yeah. Now I can see the two side-by-side, they are definitely different designs.

The problem I see with that is; if they give the Vulcans another ship, they have to give the Andorians and Caitians another ship as well. And there's only on-screen evidence of one Andorian ship - the Kumari - which is already in-game.

    Voyager? Seriously?

So you can have Kazon ships and Tossk boffs? A new Delta Quadrant map with nothing to do but grind for new marks? Bleh.

Sounds fun. :) Looking forward to the future of STO!

Also gave my vote for Enterprise, because back to back with TNG it's my favourite Trek show and I think it has a huge untapped potential that could be developed and expanded in STO.

    Interesting.
Much like Season 7, this next season will be focused on new end-game missions for all factions. It will introduce our first Space Adventure Zone along with several new events designed to challenge maximum level captains by facing off against a deadly new enemy that was introduced in Star Trek: Voyager. We will also be introducing a new fleet holding and updated reputation system that plays a more integrated role in the entire season. The new Reputation will represent a major shift in how the reputation system rewards players, taking into account much of the feedback and comments about the existing reps by adjusting the way project and reward structures are integrated, hopefully making it much more approachable than some of the previous systems.

Hopefully not the Kazon :P I'm going to guess it'll be the Krenim Imperium. Though I wonder how the 'new' Rep System will tie into that. I expect temporal shenanigans at any rate.

    /voted TNG. Anticans!

I voted for ds9. maybe it will help a future a cardassian fraction. playable ships and species. also opens the door wide open to explore the gamma quadrant. more use of the breen as well and of course the dominion. they could also do a good job of explaining anything introduces from that show.

voyager at this time has the most votes. but don't get me wrong I liked voyager but introducing even 80% of the stuff from that show is massively flawed. here is a good example. as they start their 70,000 light year journey home they meet the kazon. the 1st bad guy in voyager. effectively thick Klingons and some would say the pakleds are smarter. they have next to no hope of making it to the alpha quadrant. you only have to watch voyager to eventually realise most stuff/species couldn't, or wouldn't making it that far. i'm sure we will see neelix make it to the alpha quadrant just to annoy us all lol

All sounds good, though it would have been nice if the swimwear issue had been explained this year. All questions I saw in regard to it seemed to end up ignored. :/

As for the Voyager / Delta Quadrant species, I'm going to presume it's the Vaudwaar, Voth or Fen Domar; the latter of which were only mentioned (I believe) in ENDGAME though these guys would give Cryptic more of a creative streak as they can essentially build a known race from the ground up. I don't think any other species would truly provide that big of a threat to the other known powers.

Vaudwaar would be vengeful, Voth would be power greedy / religious cult. Either would work. Nice to hear about the reputation system revamp too, here's hoping for account-wide reputation (though I fear that's extreme optimism on my part). I'd also hope there is some more work being done on turning the Romulans independent, though again, that's probably a little too optimistic of me.

Regardless, all sounds good. Roll on Season 8.

As per the Poll; I voted Voyager. All the other shows pretty much covered everything local. I think we need something new and somewhat fresh into the game; some species that hasn't been elaborated on too much.

Lots of great information and enough teasers to keep the imagination going for a while. I've been thinking about the new threat from the Delta quadrant ever since Dan teased them in his interview with Gates of Sto-vo-kor. I think I have a good idea. It could be Voth, but they seem content to be left alone with their own superiority and arrogance, but I am leaning more toward the Vaadwar from the episode Dragon's Teeth.

I was slightly dissapointed to see no mention of the Foundry in the State of the Game, as that aspect is in a bit of a sorry state. Many o us have a lot of high hopes and still have a lot of enthusiasm for authoring new missions for more than just new shinies and loot.

I am excited about the Gateway advancements. So many fun possibilities.

Thanks again Cryptic, keep it up!

What about the help for small fleets with starbase advancement that you promised? We still aren't able to meaningfully advance.

Also, please do not require players to install Arc. I will probably stop playing if I'm required to install that proprietary ad-delivery and datamining program.

The Cardassians are criminally underdeveloped in this game compared to the other major players and it makes more sense to focus on them first, maybe give them the New Romulus rep grind treatment. Beyond that, there's a ton of material closer to home that can and should be used long before we start seeing things from the Delta Quadrant. Too much of the existing map has yet to be filled in that adding more maps seems insane. At the very least, an overhaul of the existing content should happen so that all the bland and boring missions from the game's launch can be remastered and brought up to par with the new content from Legacy of Romulus.

No mention of PvP...again. Long dead and forgotten.

    Voyager huh? Will it be...

Vidiians? (Phage was cured, so doubt it)

Vaadwaur? (Small numbers, unless there were more kept in stasis somewhere)

    Devore?

    Voth?

    Kazon? (Please God, no...)

    Malon?

    Fen Domar? (Damaged coffee cup!)

I guess we'll just have to... *sigh* Wait.

    Cool picture !

    And a nice read..... SWIMWEAR ! :) Next year ! :(

I wonder who that terrible enemy from Voyager might be..... Talaxians ?!:D

    Let's speculate:

    - Kazon - Not really technologically advanced. Tribal disputes. Possible, but doesn't really sound like a challenge.

    - Krenin - Chroniton based weapons. Transphasic on steroids. Could be interesting.

    - 8472/undine - If these were not already a major part of the story I'd give them the best chance. Undine space is barely used at the moment and terradome is waiting to be conquered.

    - Malon - Toxic waste disposal. Bulky vessels. I can see them in a couple of scenarios.

    - Vaadwaur - The classic bad guys. They were behind on the technology curve, but they had the subspace corridors. Serious candidate.

    - Hierarchy - Not the most intimidating species, but strong in surveillance and access to cloaking technology. Serious candidate.

    - Voth - During the Voyager time frame they were considerably more advanced than either the Federation and Klingon empire. Progress slow due to doctrine, but potential to be menacing opponents.

    - Hazari - Bounty hunters. On par with voyager technology. Potent strategists. Strong candidate.

    - Krowtonan Guard. Little is known except that it's a military and aggressive species encountered by the USS Equinox. Possible candidate.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
