It all looks pretty good and I would love to have it but one thing is missing. 2 hangers. Thats what I have been waiting for. I love carriers. When is the Romulan carrier coming out? Will it be on the C-store or will it be free?
It's actually 12 T5 Rom boats with a Cmdr...9 without.
I choose not to count fleet versions due to them basically being the same. Still 10 more Tactical ships than Science ships. Despite calls for additional science ships Cryptic obviously doesn't get the point or care.
I guess it wouldn't be a Scimitar ship without the Thalaron Pulse, but still D'Tan would not authorize using this technology since it has been banned by his allies.

Or, they could have made all three have the same seating, and thrown in a universal commander. Either of those things would have made me buy this ship. As it is, Cryptic has shown their hand, and its more apparent than ever that this is DPS Online. :cool:

Likewise. I was very keen to buy the 3-Pack but I'm so disappointed I'm going to give it a miss. I was hoping since the leaked Scimitar BO seating that each variant would have a different Cmdr slot, clearly that was expecting too much from Star Tactical Online (lame but the best I could think of).
LOL Wow I guess basically what I am suppossed to do now is delete every Klingon toon and just replace them with romulans lol... This ship is nice, great, and iconic to Star Trek Lore but leaves KDF even further behind in the ship mold being created by cryptic.

No doubt, no doubt...been a curious thing since the first disclosure of the Rom ships - back before the Ha'feh/Ha'nom existed - back when there were four versions of the Ha'apax (2 Eng/2 pseudo Sci). They kicked out he Ha'nom, MU Ha'nom, and Fleet Ha'nom - leaving the VA gap...

Even though I love the ship, im going to admit that it seems a little OP, not only being able to fire while cloaked but also having your shields up? I know the movie ver had these abilities, but I think the other Flagships/Dreadnoughts should be buffed slightly to combat this monster.

turn rate 7 (better than something like d'deri and galaxy...)
a hangar bay (why can't my d'deri have one?)
escort-like boff layout (just place a tac on the lt.cmdr. uni)
romulan battle cloak (you know, the one that increases your turn rate by some crazy amount)
can fire and activate shields while cloaked (combine it with the battle cloak...)
Yeah, uh, Cryptic... you sure about all that? Not that I care about PvP and stuff, but this looks like an overkill. And I remember perfectly how you tried to nerf the Bortasqu's cloak to be less "OP"... Now though you're basically releasing an escort-dreadnought firing through a perfect cloak. Any disadvantages to all that? Any reason to fly, let's say, a D'deridex instead of this...?
What about the Sov refit having MORE HULL?? = fail
What about most fleet ships - small in size having same or MORE hull??
Hull size to HP conversions are not consistent across factions. It's a game balance thing, I just wanted to point out this common misconception about the Scimitars size.

Cryptic, you should either buff the Oddyssey, Bortas'qu and Vesta to similar levels, or bring something in for the other factions of equal potential (Especially for the KDF, at least the feds have the Kumari and Fleet Defiant). Perhaps it's time to bring in the Typhoon (And KDF equivalent).
The Scimitar's total disrepect for what passes for ship balance in this game is tacky.

Now we could still get an original design full fledged carrier for Romulans. Something wide and stubby with large, thick, graceful wings with thru-decks for fighters ala Atrox... mmm...
We seriously need some Science ships first, though. Now that we've hit basically every canon Romulan ship of importance (the scout/sci ship is in the same place as the New Orleans or K'vort of "nice to have but not enough people care about it to make it worth doing"), they can start on a few new ships to fill in the obvious gaps - Science first, then a full carrier.

And all of those dimensions are over inflated by a toothpic wing span. The D'D has real meat, a sizably larger volume.

No way does Scimitar have only 1k more hull than the lvl 40 version Fed Sov???!!!
And sov refit has more hull than Scimitar????
1) only 40k hull? why not 44k or 43900
2) 7 turn rate? it's bigger than a galaxy starship and it turns faster?
3) if you are serious about that turn rate you need to cut down on the air fresheners

Not really. I've a Fleet D'deridex, and i'll be using it after I get these.
Liking what I see, especially the Drone ships. They sound like fun.
But...warning? These are dropping tomorrow? Good thing I already converted every last dilithium crystal I have.
I am still buying the 3 pack tomorrow after patch
