Other than the Wing Cannons, the Andorian weapons can be used on other ships. They can only be purchased if you have one of the three Andorian ships, however.
That is not currently one of the functions of this set Cool, this was the least important for me
Yep, we have Andorian prefix options. =D Nice
Last time I checked, they used standard Phaser sound effects.
THIS! Love it! Would have been a deal breaker otherwise.
Allowing the entertainment portion of your life to revolve around being ELITE ON TEH INTERNETZ at PvP is a choice. A bad one.
Allowing oneself to make asinine assumptions and strawman arguments are also bad choices.
Without ACC, you WILL NOT hit in PvP. The Defense values are too high. Its not about being leet or 1337, or whatever you think other people espouse to be, its about being able to play PvP AT ALL.

Aww, just like what happened with the Dominion Polarons. In ENT the Andorian weapons sound really awesome. Watch the space battle at the end of "Kir'Shara."
2 years of bitterness about this game's development wiped away in just a few short posts by you. This rocks. I haven't been this happy about STO since I first heard a diplomacy system was being made.

ACC isn't about being "Elite" it's about being able to hit moving targets in PvP.
It's not about "theme" as ArchonCryptic seems to think, it's a basic game mechanic.
The same reason Fleet weapons were poorly received is the same reason these 'special' super heavy cannons will be if they are released with multiple DMG mods.

Wing mounted DHC would be more interesting if it had [acc]x3 [crth] or [acc]x2 [crth]x2 not [dmg]x4.
How much bonus passive accuracy Synchronized Targeting gives? (2 pieces of set) and any plans for KDF equivalent? Maybe something with 6 fore, 1 aft weapon slots?

I don't see what the issue is. It's a nice thematic detail for a change.
As they already mentioned, you'll be able to slot any weapon instead of those cannons, so when you go PvP just slap another DHC with [Acc] proc and you're set to go.
ACC is basically critical if a weapon is going to even be serviceable in PvP.
This ship, on the whole, is not serviceable in PvP.
The Sci and Eng versions may be serviceable for STFs. The Tac version is a pure solo player ship.
This boils down to why the ship is not really pay to win. It's pay to kill faster if you aren't under fire.
I've looked at the design and builds. You could have pretty much the ultimate solo PvE ship here. You could have a decent STF ship if you watch stats closely; probably out-DPSing anything else but with little mitigation. There is very little this will do for PvP except maybe let a very unskilled player have an edge over an unskilled player.
And its lack of PvP viability is, on the whole, something to be thankful for. At best, you might see some lucky kills but it's outclassed for PvP by a number of ships, including the Fleet Tactical Escort and, I'd argue, even the Mirror Universe Prometheus and the Armitage.
Its main role is to kill something that wouldn't have killed you anyway faster.

not serviceable in pvp? you have to be joking. what is basicly a patrol escort with a 5th forward weapon is not serviceable? thats an insane thing to say. with damage control doffs even the tac version is useable.
thats only considering solo play, have a healer on your team and your lack of self heals becomes irreverent.
anyone who knows how to fly an escort will be to brutal to counter with one of these, i might just KvK from now on

Good luck getting KvK qued up. Other wise I'm pretty much in agreement, making a fleet ship with -9% shields and +25% weapons is not worthy of calling something a glass cannon. Nerf the hull out of the fleet escort range or give the fleet escort retrofit a buff to higher hp and you can call it glass.
On the other hand, i'm still 99% sure the jem bug will smear the ship.
This ship, on the whole, is not serviceable in PvP.
Listen man, I like a lot of your posts and overall ideas on things like meta design, etc.
But you're out of your element when you discuss PvP.
The Eng and Sci versions will be monster DPS.
The Tac version, looks like a hot mess to me. Some people might be drooling over the 5 tac consoles, but there's no way I'm touching that BOFF layout for 6% more DPS when I can have 5 fore DHCs and the patrol escort layout.
The special consoles will likely be silly toys, that don't actually hit anything (zero ACC), do any kind of viable damage (like all pets) and basically just add to the screen overload clutter that are pets in general.
How many weapons do we have to have added to the game that have DMGxLOLS before we're done with that?
Spiral Waves? DMGx2. (These are actually good, but I'm illustrating the overuse of multiple damage mods)
Most of the Dil store weapons? DMGx2.
Fleet weapons? DMGx3
Even the Vesta's AUX DHCs were originally DMGx?? and it was changed pre-launch.
So what is this "change of pace" you are talking about?
All we usually get are DMG mods.

Hm.
Fair enough. Looking again, I think this ship probably could stand a hull nerf and I think the universal station should be Tac instead of universal, to force low survivability.
5 front weapons... That marks a new level! Sorry... I used the forbidden word
possibly, but not necessarilly, its still got 7 total weaponslots like the rest of the escorts at T5... just foir an all cannon boat you can equip one more DHC rather than 3 turrets in back.

Can you spoil what the Prefix Option is? Is it IGS or IGV?

Give me a 3-pack Starfleet destroyer in the same vein as the Odyssey and Vesta and I'll consider it.
Indeed.
Thanks for the info archoncryptic! Much apreciated.
We're allowing both options.

That is win.
Thanks to everyone who worked on this ship.

VERY happy about the prefix options myself.

Like the phaser dispersal array attack?

What's so special about the Wing Cannons? It mentions them in the thread, but never says what they do.
They look to be kinda like slow, high burst quads with a fancy blue visual.

It looks like it was inspired by THIS so I don't know I think they did a fine job making it.
Well, if they did that, people would probably use at least one beam on it or forego an Ensign power. More of a tradeoff for using 5 cannons, really.
