ROFLMFAO B'tran really? Wow. Here lets just get this over with.

Fast ways to make dil for future nerfage.

    1) Contraband from KDF marauding doffing
    2) Breen dailies are pretty darn quick. One is just a single dialog tree that is an exploit right?
    3) KDF Patrol bonus daily that applies to two other dil missions that can't be intended
    4) STFs are giving out dilithium might want to make sure thats not a bug
    5) Advanced orion slavers can get you some Contraband too, obviously an exploit
    6) KDF PvP dailies can all mostly be done at the same time! Just like B'tran

And here I was looking forward to getting another set for both toons; oh well, least I have the passives to work towards.

    REALLY?

Why not just remove all the Dilithium from the system? Now the only ones remaining are 1440 or less per mission.

You can't force people to spend more time in your game by removing rewards. It then becomes a waste of time and you'll see fewer players, not more.

Holy cow it time to roll more KDF toons - they now have soo many dilth gathering missions its really going to be an all out player war with the majority of Feds angry as hell when they find out just how many KDF mission for dilth there are - and over-lap

Most KDF can roll the same dilthium missions at the same time in Ker'ret - like lucky charm, killing feds, stealing enemy resources - I have to check the proper names and all the rest.

There are full time guys flying the Advanced orion slavers pulling in Hundreds and hundreds of contraband per day - those slavers are insane.

    You gotta be kidding me.

What is the reasoning behind this?

Why don't you just get rid of Dilithium altogether from playing the game, so we have to pay to do anything? It's what you guys really want, right?

Have to agree with most of the posts here. While New Romulus/Mol'Rihan and the new sector are great additions, the grinds are getting ridiculous. Now there are more things to grind for (and more on the way by most accounts) and less ways to get *some* of the things we need. The grinding is going to take MUCH longer and it will quickly become too monotonous and folks will start leaving more often. This B'Tran change is just the latest insult what with also having to deal with the higher dilithium costs for doff exchanges, the major changes/extensions to the STF grinds, the crazy dilithium costs associated with crafting and so on.

Once upon a time, I used to spend a fortune in the C-Store. I'm a completionist and wanted every ship/special console, every outfit, every bridge/variant. Now I rarely spend actual money and grind for dilithium to sell for points to get ships. The last ship I got was the Armitage. I've been saving my allotments towards getting ONE of the bundle packs but its taking forever. And now I'm not grinding for the ships because I'm grinding for the fleet stuff and will soon be grinding for the reputation stuff... I've yet to come close to getting my first fleet ship due to all the grinding for everything else.

While I can understand adding grinds in the attempt to extend the life of an account (keep the folks always grinding, strip the rewards down so they'll have to grind for far longer, keep the money coming in) this is going to backfire.

I'm actually okay with the additional grinds but the game should be adding MORE rewards and many MORE ways to gather resources instead of cutting them down. Cutting down these resources (and not adding more) will make the task seem insurmountable.

I have a lifetime account with over a dozen VAs and even before these new changes hitting holodeck all I do is grind now.

Seems forever since I actually just played the game. You know, for fun.

::shakes head:: Maybe its time for another break.

Added orion slavers to my post, I'll have to try those. Eh should add the KDF pvp ones too I guess lol.

I really, really, really hope this means we will get a lot of dilithium out of the Reputation system with the dilithium exchange projects you get later on.

Otherwise, maybe the Mayans were right about 2012 D:

(even though the Mayans never actually said it was the end, and the fact that there were new parts of the calendar discovered, just stupid conspiracy theorists)

Seriously? Dilithium is being nerfed everywhere. It's already a pain in the TRIBBLE to get. I rarely even get close to being able convert 8k a day now. So far with this season you're nerfing:
    1. STF- amount received is halved
    2. Removed from B'tran
    3. Made the Foundry mission now take forever
    4. Added dilithium costs to DOFF recruitment

When I would actually have more than a hour to play, I would run B'tran (1440), Defera (~2400) missions, the Foundry mission (1440) and Infected (1100). Combined with a little pulled in on DOFF missions and I'd get about 6-7k Dilithium. And that would take around 90min. And then my game time for the day is gone. No time to help the fleet earn Fleet Marks. Or anything else I might want to do.

Seriously, why are you nerfing Dilithium grinding for all of us who don't have hours and hours to play?

Seriously... It's not often I'm upset w somthing you guys do... But this is a bit much I always felt the B'tran daily was a nice reward for lvl 50 players its an easier way for us to do the exploration daily and double our reward. Please put it back.

I guess They no longer want any Casual Players enjoying the game...

They only want Hard-Core Grinders, who have nothing to do all day, but run through Their Maze and never actually get anywhere.

Apparently, Drudgery is the new Fun...

    B'Tran will be another Ghost-Town.

Unfortunately, not everybody has deep pockets. I've spent over $100.00 on this game in the past year, but not everybody can do that. It's not fair if you are going to call the game F2P. A lot of people are struggling to pay bills in real life and at least have some kind of entertainment after the work is done. They don't need to struggle to pay the dilithium bills ;)

Cryptic, I tried... I mean really tried to be supportive of the changes here. I like the new content... was glad when you came to your senses and increased the STF dil reward to 960 for elites (edit: from the planned 480 with S7)... Was even supportive of the addition of a qualifier to the Investigate Officer reports (while nice the Quicky Clickies weren't really worth the dilithium they were giving).

But seriously.. now B'Tran? Come on... you're making it darn hard to keep the morale up.

I want to earn the Dil in the game. I DO NOT want to buy it. And I DO NOT like being herded towards group content IF I DON'T FEEL LIKE IT.

    IMO...,

The only way to enjoy this game is to keep creating ALt's...

Run them up to Level 50 and then dump everything one has collected into a Fleet bank and start another Alt. using the stuff collected...

Every time ya reach yer toon limit, just delete one and begin again.

The Episodes are, also in my opinion, the best part of the game.

Yeah, I normally don't get with the doom and gloom crowd, but removing the dilithium reward from the Chart the B'Tran cluster mission is seriously pissing me off. Unless you've got something like a Random Mk XII Very Rare item box replacing it I don't see much point in even keeping that mission in the game w/out the dilithium reward.

Let me post a properly reply in regards to remove Dilihtium from Explore B'Tran Daily? . Cryptic you are very quick turning this casual game into an Asian Grind Fest. You are making the game more and more hostile to casual player. You know the ones that you've said in the past that you want to attract? You remember, you know, the players?

Hold your horses - better go back and put /sarcasm

However - and I am taking a wild guess - could be completely off base - complete conspiracy theory stuff - but I think they have a plan to drive people to buy more Zen

Yes i know it sounds crazy - i'll go get my meds now.

That "Casual Player" comment was made waaaay back before F2P hit.

Even though I don't really want to accept it...,

It's damn obvious even to me, that I'm NOT the kind of player They are currently wooing.

Again, even though I've spent close to $3200 dollars on this game since it's launch.

I'm not saying that the expenditure was a waste, I just feel like it isn't really appreciated.

I guess I have to also accept that being a "Person who has played this game for a very long time"... actually has no meaning anymore...

Kinda sad really... that long term devotion has become of marginal value in modern society.
