I would hope that most the players already knew that the zstore sovy was next on the line so it's no surprise we got yet another cruiser. I really hope it's the last one for a while, we need more escorts and sci ships.

From a strategic point-of-view I can't justify buying myself another fed cruiser (unless the Regent brings something significantly different to the table), but artistically Jamz you did a beautiful job on this thing.

I hope we can use the Sovy skin on this because I am not a fan of this design. I have never liked forward facing pilons, the combinations described in the Blog reminds me of a kit-bash. Will have to wait what ths stats are before I decide to go back to a cruiser.
I honestly don't like it... The saucer is simply ugly. Too flat. Other parts are also very unimpressive, but on the other hand I never really liked the Sovereign too.
I'm curious, what will happen to the Imperial skin now? I really liked that variant, and yet the Fleet Assault Cruiser is gone from the Shipyard, and nowhere to be seen in the C-Store. Bring it back please, in any way.
Also, will the Imperial parts be exchangeable with the Regent, if someone has the skin from the C-Store?
Nevertheless, I won't buy this one. Not only there are already way too many cruisers in the game, but I'm also afraid that this will be yet another 2500 Zen ship with 9 consoles and a Fleet variant to be purchased with additional 5$ later on.
Its a nice looking ship but for a sovereign refit/retrofit, I don't think so. I think and feel this is a half done job and needs more work. The Venture the Armtiage,the Sao Paulo and the odyssey classes are great designs, do the same for the Sovereign refit/retrofit. It will be hard to top or be on the same level as John Eaves Sovereign class. Need more pictures of the Regent Class as well. Still will withhold full judgement till this ship is out.

Sidenote ... I love the look of the new ship, but then I was never a fan of the Sov model as it stood previously and was more of a fan of the Noble-class skin.
Im curious what her stats will be. Most people asking for the refit didn't want it for a new skin, they wanted stats on the Sovy so they could fly thier favorite ship design and not feel they were flying a subpar cruiser. If Cryptic messes up the stats on this ship, they will of completely dropped the ball on addressing the very reason people wanted a Sovy refit in the first place.
I'm also very curious as to what this will cost in the C-store and whether or not it will be am account unlock or a char unlock. After the whole EVA suit debacle last week I'll admit I'm dreading seeing how much it will cost.

Well that's my point. The reason all the skins were removed from the C-Store is because all the Fleet ships got them as "Unique". The only one missing is the Imperial, as the Fleet Assault Cruiser was supposedly removed to make place for the Regent Class.
So my question stands - what about the Imperial costume for people, who didn't purchase it while it was available? Personally I always loved the design (unique for trek, yet still having all the trek-ish qualities), but didn't get it as I never flew or even considered flying the Assault Cruiser.
Now, let's assume I will get the Regent and I would like to use the Imperial skin options - how do I get them?

Hrm... upgrade classname to Sovereign is the synonym Regent... Kate Mulgrew played Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager and also played Jane Lattimer, a character on Warehouse 13 who is also a "Regent" that showed up in Season 3 of that show... Season 3 of Warehouse 13 just recently became available on Netflix Streaming... OHMYGODIT'SALLCONNECTEDOHMYGODOHMYG...
Looks good, doubt I buy it. I will get the Odyssey before this one. Before that I will be in the Sovereign anyways until I buy a new ship to be in. Now you do the Ambassador, New Orleans, or Niagara. You will see me get one of those really fast. I rather have one of those instead. The larger ships been done enough how about some love for the ones who wants a smaller cruiser.

Another possible subclass name might have been, Steward-class. As in the Steward of Gondor? Perhaps that would make a better escort name? The Steward escorts the Regent (or the Monarch or the Sovereign).

But it occurred to me, isn't this more of a Varient than a Refit?
Anyhow, I'm happy JJ used my DTNE entry for the various aspects of the design. Though don't see much of a classic Federation cruiser ducktail.
As a silhouette in the distance it won't be particularly easy to tell apart.

No, you got it all wrong...
It will only be 1500 zen (but it will be per character and per month)
In other words, it's on it's way, based on priority. Thinking this ship is slowing down/replacing content work is not logical.
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
