So, the fleet ships will cost not only major resources, long amounts of time, fleet credits, and C-Store points, but they will also cost the same in Zen as their C-Store version for a per character unlock.

This is majorly disappointing, but in no way surprising.

4 Fleet Ship Modules for the Fleet Exploration Cruiser Retrofit= 2000 Zen (per character)

Exploration Cruiser Retrofit in C-Store= 2000 Zen (account wide)

    for something i ALSO have to spend month to upgrade the starbase and push in millions of rescources?

    next time my boss may want me to pay him 200dollars to get my loancheck?



    100/token is okay, change that now. i wont pay 2000zen for something i have have to do lots of work to achieve it!

    buy it from the store.



    for 2000zen i expect to get the ship, immediately, without work, for ALL chars.

    i payed 2000c-points for the oddy, i got it instant, for all my chars. thats a reasonable price.
    now i shall pay 2000zen (wchich is about 1800cpoints) for a ship i have to spend time, dili, doffs, and many EC as well ...


    you really must think were stupid.

    yep this really goes way to far for me too. 100zen/token would have been reasonable, for a single character once and rescource sucking reward. i expected sth like this too. im out, playing rift, or maybe another game. or even none. this is far too absurd for me now.


    im spending money to get a reward i worked 3 month for ... that is like ... paying your boss to get your loan ... sry thats crazy. and not the good kind of crazy.

    So much for the fleet ships costing much less than C-Store ships. There goes any and all interest I had in the fleet system. No wonder they wouldn't tell us how much this stuff cost before they launched the season.

    have they really scewed the pooch that bad so for a slightly better version of deverish with out a special + 1 console i got to spend 20000 fleet credit and buy 25 dollars worth of zen have you guys got into that bag of cannabus i lost 20 years ago because you are crazy to think people willl pay that kinda of money to get a free ship with sliightly better stats and 10 console slots and a special fleet materiel
    i will save my fleet credits for fleet weapons and the occasional fleet provision.

    Modules can be bought from the exchange so you dont need to spend real money! :)

    You would think with all the money they are making off of us we would get a lot more content than we are. I guess if you don't want to support the way they are going don't spend real $.

    Thanks for the information. This was the last piece of information I needed to decide if I wanted to bother forming an fleet for myself. The answer is no, as I suspected those fleet ships have an high Zen price. Now to wait for season 7 before any real content may show up that catches my interest.

    If you are looking to purchase a Fleet Ship that has a T5 C-Store version and you already own the T5 C-Store version, you only need to purchase 1 Fleet Ship Module (FSM) instead of 4. If you've purchased a non-T5 ship from the C-Store that has a Fleet Ship version, you will still need to purchase 4 FSMs.

    No, if you have the cash shop ship already it is only $5 more.

    What happened to fleet ships costing far less than C-Store ships as per Al? According to his interview the massive amount of time and effort was supposed to offset the cost? Not to mention all the incidental monitization along the way through possible dilithium sales to build up the fleet base. Now its costing the full price of most T5 ships on top of all that effort, AND its only for that ONE character.

    Further, the reason given for no Excelsior, Gurumba, and Galaxy-X fleet versions was they didn't want to practically give away their special abilities, this price point totally invalidates that premise.

    Thats some bull****, you guys that strapped for cash? Trying to resell us all the ships we already have with better stats? I would have expected fleets to be able to build those ship modules at a slow pace so the fleet leadership could allocate them to deserving players but, your great idea is to just continue to ream us by making us buy more TRIBBLE, that's pretty weak you expect us to spend 2k zen on ships with no special consoles? Am I the only one that thinks they are trying to raise the $ price on ships, introducing this to set the expectation that these same ships they had to do almost nothing to reintroduce just VA level with slightly better stats for $20. Can I at least get a reach around?

    just save your dilithium and convert it into points :rolleyes:
    besides , with everyone WANTING dilithium right now , maybe the points are cheaper than they used to be

    What about people who have the T5 Version as a Veteran reward? Also what about people who own the T4 Refit version of the ship? And now we are paying per toon, not for the account.

    I really feel no need nor desire to grind up my fleet now, ill contribute for some fun, but any real interest just evaporated. :(

    Only if it was a T5 ship, and only if you paid for the unlock. Veteran rewards do not qualify.

    Ummm... are you sure?

    I went to the shipyard and even though I have the T5 Galaxy, the Fleet version cost 20000 Fc and 4 FSM.

    PWE owns this game now guys. It's about making pure profits, nothing more. This is what you get for a F2P game. Either accept it, or find something else to play. Nothing will change. Expect even more money sinks to come out in the next few months. This is how PWE manages all their games.

    I have a T5 Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit (Intrepid).

    How much will I have to pay in addition to the Fleet Credits? 5 or 20 dollars?

    Was that your Veteran reward or prior VA retrofit token? Those don't qualify, you have to have paid for the ship on the C-Store.

    I got the Retrofit a looong time ago, long before the game went F2P, and got it via my VA token.

    In other words, i'm **** out of luck, and have to pony up 20 dollars PLUS the huge chunk of fleet credits PLUS getting the Fleet Drydock to level 4.

    So in summary:

    Apparently, in order to buy the "good" Fleet ships, requires you to grind a bunch of Fleet Credits (new currency), grind your Fleet Starbase drydock upto level 4 (several months of work), AND pay 4 additional tokens from the "Zen Store", for 20 dollars.

    And this, after Al (Geko) claiming that the new Fleet ships would be "inexpensive" due to the costs of having to get to the unlock of the new ships in the first place. Thanks a whole lot, Cryptic.

    First you **** up with the Season 6 launch, you remove the Fleet Marks from the invasion zone, AND you force players to pay a bunch of money PLUS grind a bunch of credits, PLUS grind the Fleet Starbase projects to even get the drydock upgraded. Well done. Massive cluster****.

    Thats inaccurate...

    You forgot that to grind to the Tier Base to be able to spend the currency and money to get the item, you also need to grind for other resources, some of which are also time gated.

    Ahh right.

    Well, they have effectively sucked the fun and anticipation out of this season for me. Way to go Cryptic (and I even tried to recruit my former fleetmates to come back to this game).

    So we pay just as much money to get the Fleet ships, do more work to get them, and they are "Character only". Atleast the C-Store ships are account wide (for now)
