Odyssey For All Characters?

I was looking at the ships (yes, due to the sale), and I noted that the Odyssey (Either variation or the three-for-two bundle) says that it is avaliable to all Federation Vice Admirals. So a couple of questions:

1) Are all C-Store ships like this, or just the Odyssey?

2) Do you get the ship on all Vice Admirals when you purchase it or forever and always? (I have a Vice Admiral, a Captain, and a Rear Admiral currently, and eventually plan to purchase the four additional slots, for a possible total of seven Federation characters. Will purchasing it today, grant it to all of them when they are created and hit that rank?)

Not all ships are VA,some are commander,some are captian,but most are RA and VA,and when you buy them,they are unlocked for any and all Fed characters.Unless they are klingon,then you will unlock them for all klingon characters.

ships purchased from the c store are redeemable on any character of appropriate level/faction for the ship. On each character you can dismiss and redeem the ships as often as you wish, but you can only have one of each ship type active at any one time e.g if you had an Armitage class ship and went to claim it again on the same character, you would not be able to but you could claim it on another Fed VA character. This functionality is useful if you want to just pull a console from one of your other ships that would be useful on your current ship (i.e the point defense system from the Akira). These ships are always available to all faction characters of appropriate level on the account.

So if for example you purchased a Constitution class at a lower level on one character but outgrew it, you can claim it again on a new character.

The Oddy comes in three variants - for the purposes of ship slots these count as seperate ships so if you have slots available you could have all 3 Oddy's sitting on one character. Useful while you try it out and decide which Hull works best for you and again also lets you transfer all the consoles to one hull if you wish and then dismiss the other hulls you don't plan on using.

Ad inputend says, there are ships available for just about every level but the latest ships released have been RA or VA up, e.g the Armitage is VA only

Ok, thanks, thats exactly what I wanted to know. However it throws everything out of balance... before the Oddyssey bundle made the most sense, but I could get the Catian Carrier and have it on all characters as well. Damn the confusion.
