So after hours of looking at things on the forums for builds and the like, trying to sort out what I want to do with M'bingu. He's mostly spec'd for ground on his passives, but not like we get a lot for space as it is.
I'd thinking the dreadnaught with some cannons and torps - likely phasers so I can mod the spinal lance. Mostly for looks and phoom
But recently I've been re-evaluating, so I can be useful is there a better look/weapon combo that can still tank - or do you guys find that it's pretty cookie cutter out there?
I did engineer with him and have a respec available, as well as some Zen burning a hole; has anyone tried the new Dominion ships?
I have never used used any of the Dominion ships, nor have I used the Dreadnought. In my case, my Fleet Negh'Var is loaded with 7 Phased Polaron Turrets Mk XII [acc] [dmg], and the Rommy torpedo spammer firing forward.
This also simplifies my boffs, as the only weapon skills my Tac needs are Torpedo Spread, then cannon skills.
I am Engineer, and my Cruiser is now much deadlier than anything I have used previously! Borg will die! Borg will all die!
As for Feddy side, the Odyssey is excellent for Engineers. Plus, you get great bonuses for using all 3 consoles in the set on the same ship.
Too long; didn't read version:
Get the Odyssey Bundle.
Go with a 7 turret load, XII [acc] [dmg]. Phased Polaron if you can get; otherwise go with Polarized Disruptors.
Then use the 8th weapon slot for the Rommy Torpedo Spammer firing forward.
Um, might want to bump that up to 30. You know who I don't think about when I think "maturity"? 18 year old internet nerds. :rolleyes:

Actually, you would be much better formidable if you go with the Borg Set. That set set has kept me alive better than ANY other set has. To date, I have tried the MACO XII, KHG XII, Aegis, and Breen sets, and none of them were anywhere near a match for the Borg XI Set. So, the moment I finally hit T5, I bought the Borg XII, and I am quite well pleased with the result!

I'd agree with you if Voporak weren't flying a Defiant, even a Fleet Defiant. It just isn't a good idea to use the Assimilated shield (or any regenerative shield for that matter) on escorts when you're flying ESTFs. Now for his Odyssey it'd be great. You're damn near indestructible barring Borg One-Shots with that particular combo.
