Im having fun, there are a lot of new challenges and things to do now. Im sure these bases will keep us occupied for a while, plenty of time for the devs to work on bugs and stuff. Cryptics content has grown and improved so much since ive started to play. Thanks for all your hard work. I would also like to ask other players to take it easy and just report bugs and glitches, they will get to em, this is still new and getting its shake down test. (I know I have my grumpy moments when it messes up and doesnt work eather) But you still comeback, as its fun.
The new weapon visualisations are awesome. The bases will be great, this gives all members a chance to participate at any time, the fleet credits you earn will be a great reward for those who think enough of thier fleet to team and contribute. There will always be something to do now, borg sector alerts, dailies, borg stfs, and now starbase events.
Toobad they are getting rid of the Ferengi stuff, that was a great idea. But maybe the next lock boxes wont be locked...lesser items, but worth the effort to get.

Last day for the boxes, but ive saved a bunch. PLease keep the keys available in cstore! I still spend my dilithium on cpoints (now ZEN) to buy keys and duty officers. I still have a lot of boxes to open yet.
I love all the new changes that have been made since Perfect World has taken over, so much so I will list 3 of them right now.
1. Constant server not responding messages.
2. Constant lag on pve maps or anytime not playing solo.
3. Lack of real technical support/responses to tickets.
And to answear some of the questions right now, Yes I have rebooted my router, Yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, Yes I have double and even triple checked all my connections and settings, No I dont have any other games that have this problem.
Disgruntled am I, just a little bit, I am a Life-Time subscriber, I put my money into a franchise I love. Before Perfect World took over I didnt have these problems.
If this upsets anyone, sorry, but that's what forums are for, venting out the issues one has for the game they paid to play and also for praising the game they paid to play. With that said, I do love alot of the positive changes they made. The Starbase add-on I'm fanatic over, adding more end-game missions, going FTP to get more players I even like. There are other good things, I just cant think of them right at this moment.

has there been any news on the sovereign refit? This is getting ridiculous.

The Sovereign wasn't the only ship to go missing from the fleet ship roster. Makes me wonder what they're planning for the others, like the Prometheus.

I posted that here for 1 reason, This is what I want to see the Developers working on. They obviously are not reading/responding to anyone else's threads or tickets about this.
i think i figured out the fleet sovereign mystery. they want the c store version to be released first, so people will buy it before they buy the fleet version, which will be better. just look at the armatige and fleet akira, it will be the same thing. people would not be inclined to buy the inferior c store refit version after they already got the superior fleet version, unless they HAD to have the new skin, and or console.
if people could buy the fleet version before the c store version, they would complain that they weren't given the change to buy the fleet version with the 75% discount, creating much forum rage. they are smart enough to do this in an order that generates the least unhappy people, and gives people a chance to buy things like fleet heavy cruisers and the like in the mean time.
it might be a wile before new c store ships are introduced, it wont be until everyone who has the fleet ship they want already has it. flooding the market with the fleet ships and a new c store ships would just divide sales. the c store sovereign will be released when they think they can make the most money off of it, and will likely be the next release. the fleet sovereign will appear only after that.

There are some very cool ships coming out, but the more that come out, the more I realize I don't need them. My main character is still flying his original (non-MVAM) Advanced Escort that I got in March of 2010, and I love it. I'm not sure that I'll switch to another ship until I can get my hands on a Fleet Advanced Escort. When there's a new ship that I do want to fly, I find I'm rolling another toon to fly it rather than getting multiple ships on the same toon.
I currently have 8 alts.
I just recently got myself a Mirror Universe Star Cruiser, which I think is awesome, but I can't think of a toon I'd fly it on, and I don't feel like rolling another alt right now. So it's staying in the box for now.
What about the Ferengi ship? There are 2 rooms, and no place to show your latinum trophies! (Its a Ferengi SHIP!) PLus my Caitian since I bought him in beta is unable to name his uniforms, they wont fix that. (Ferisan too) They need to touch up some of the original stuff with their next patch. Cryptic would never listen, but maybe Perfect World might.
I think the most noticeable glitch for me is having to rapidly press a button to use a power or hypo durring a fight, sometimes after a few dozen hits you can heal...but mostely ur sitting there pressing the button and waiting to die. Tumbleing and the pounce powers used to keep me safe and work fast, but now youhave no time to use them and it be effective.
