Season 4.1 is not even on Holodeck, and some people are already talking about Season 5 (which will not bring any new "content", but more for fleet administration and handling). Season 4 was out in July of this year, and usually there is only one season per year. So, prepare to wait until next summer until we see Season 5 on Holodeck. In the meantime, we can only hope for a release of Season 4.1 still in this year, but I think it's gunna be January.
the content im speaking of is the content of DS9 and the mirror universe episodes that were promised.
Haha, first they need to give VA Federation players the old DS9 fleet action back. Actually right now we're in minus content. And why is there no special mission with rewards for the fleet action by Admiral Gregory Nechayev? Up to the "Big Di**" fleet action, there is also a mission attached, and after "Big Di**", there isn't, even though there are two more FA's (well, now it's just one more).

now that i havent noticed. mostly cause i can never find a team for the FA's cause they took awards and such away... or atleast it feels they have.
I'm not understanding why they can't even allow us to make dilithium bind-on-account instead of bind on pickup. That at least would make alt crafting a little easier.
New things are content. Missions are story content. This game does not lack content, it lacks and is in desperate need of story content.
There is a difference. Learn it.
Frankly, I disagree. Content is things to do. As such, PvE storyline is story content, new PvP modes, maps, and "competitive PvE" like the Fleet Actions are all PvP content, repeatables are daily content, the Doff system and Crafting are forms of minigame content..
But ships, species, and costumes.. Aren't things you do, they're things you collect.
As such, there is very little that can be called any kind of content that's been released for almost half a year now.
Though I do agree, storyline PvE content is in critical demand, especially on the Klingon side of things.
And it doesn't look like F2p is going to help that except for those who start anew. And then just by cramming all their current content into a smaller package.

o please dont tell me they did it so crafting is for the toon now and not for everyone... for crying hell.... well there is no real point to crafting after you hit VA now so whats the god dam point of starting it now in the first place right. might as well cut crafting out completely if you cant make things after VA cause you already have the gear, and you cant make gear for another alt or fleet mate or anything.
Remember, you can't even buy items from the dilithium store and transfer it to another character on the account or give to a friend like you used to be able to do.
Vendor stuff (for marks and now dilithium) has always been bind on pickup, so nothing really changed there, except the purple MK XI stuff which has all been bind on equip of course.

That's what I mean. I actually bought a shield array or two for some friends via the Emblem Store (Purple MK XI). This will not be possible with it becoming the "Dilithium Store".
I actually just bought my gear in the new dilithium store, and you're right, it's now all bind on pickup again, including the purple MK XI stuff. The only stuff which is not bind on pickup, is crafted stuff (and that costs less dilithium).
PS: We hit Page 86, wow. Only 14 more to 100 pages. Will we do that?

Maybe if they notice three digits they might be more inclined to fix this tripe.
Jessie Heinig has suggested a nice thing as an alternative way to include dilithium in crafting. It's in the tribble discussion area. At least it wouldn't hinder fleets to keep crafting and the way of rewarding a member in the fleet for his / her job is a lot nicer with JHeinig's way of doing the dilithium thing in crafting.

You mean this? That's not a suggestion. That's actually getting patched to Tribble this coming week (source here). While better than a sharp stick in the eye, it still leaves crafters holding the Dilithium bag (but at least fleet crafters get to share their misery with others). An across-the-board Dilithium cost reduction of 50% in crafting would go a long way towards mitigating that. I'm not holding my breath, though.
That was in blug 20 and it's been more than a week since that blug. I guess it will be this Thursday then? I hope along with the fixed patrol turn-ins and scaling rewards for the other missions after the Briar Patch episode.
...
The big change is that we are going to make it so that instead of directly spending Dilithium in high end crafting recipes, players will use Dilithium to craft material blocks. Then the material blocks will be used in the final recipes. This adds a step to the crafting, but since we will be making the material blocks tradable, it makes it possible for guilds and friends pool their Dilithium for crafting purposes.
...
is at least a change.
But what makes me real sad about all this DL-stuff: DL courency is so inconsistent with the ST-Universe. IMHO it's simply a nogo.
On the other hand: Changing that would not be a problem at all. It's just about a little story telling to make it consistent. Going f.e. like this (short plot):
The Ferengi have undercut Federation economy. They introduced GPL as courency. To make even more profit they introduced it as pure Latinum which has to be changed to Gold Pressed Latinum first to use it. With this step everywhere in the ST-Universe GPL would be an accepted courency - even in the FED.
Concerning crafting: To make even more profit the Ferengi introduced licences for blue and purple items. So in case you want to craft any blue or purple stuff you have to buy a licence first from your friendly Ferengi licence dealer found on Memory Alpha!
Last not least: Why not making the DL exchange a social area on Ferenginar like f.e. the Tower of Commerce.
And what about a 'black market' for all the (cool ) stuff you are not allowed to have in the Federation? Like Subspace weapons (!) or Bio-mimetic gel or gizmos for genetic engineering for your BO's or your toon or, or, or .... there is a dark side in the Star Trek universe! Why not using it.
This all would give the whole thing a more Star Trek like look and feel.
I did notice that it takes less dilithium to craft than to get an equivalent item from the vendors--that's at least an advantage for crafting. The dilithium charges are still too high, especially since we're capped at refining 8k per day. I wish they'd gone to another name as well, but since they have it tied in to everything now, doffs, mission rewards, etc. etc. on Tribble, the chance of changing the name now is slim and none, and Slim's out of town.
The crafting blocks are at least a step in the right direction. It's nice to see the devs did hear us at least.

There should be a 'search - exchange with ...' tool in their programing software, I guess ....

so yeah crafting serves no purpose in this game.
Nothing but a money-grab.
