I'm loving the TOS interior and bridge, its totally awesome and nice to see that my ship is no longer built for giants. I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come and we can look forward to say...an NX interior?

Oh, and I got a good laugh out of the "Does Nothing/Goes Nowhere" pipe.

Just saw the video - and as a TOS fan since 1969 (I was 6 ;)); the only thing I can say is:

    Jaw-Dropping:eek:

I'd purchase it right now, if I wasn't at work (on my break) possting here; but first thing when I get home tonight:...

Thanks to all the members of the art and enviromental teams for doing this Bridge set, the interiors, and the costume set. This TOS fan really likes what he sees.:)

Purchase the Value Bundle TODAY and you'll also receive:
It's not just today. But it will definitely be for a limited time.

How limited are we talking here? My birthday is on Monday.. can I safely wait til Monday to purchase the bundle? What happens after the limited-time passes? Does the value-pack bundle go away? Do some of the items get removed? Does the price change?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

They're not going to tell you because they build incentive for people to purchase it now and not later by leaving the date mysterious.

Does the TOS Interior integrate with other missions?

i.e. Does the Stranded in Space Transporter Room change with this new interior?

Also, do the security teams that beam down in 'Cutting the Cord' still have the standard 2409 uniform, or do they have TOS outfits to match the ship crew?

(Same for the Security Team Tactical Captain ability.)

Or they could spend their limited time remaking the 25th century interiors. You know the time period in which the game actually takes place.

Please extend my congrats and gratitude to your artists on an excellent ship interior Mr. Stahl.

And now to the Animated series value pack! 3 legged crew-members, force field belts (with glowing outline effect), and aquashuttles ftw!

You can also open or close the windows that caused such...commotion...on the boards a few weeks ago. :)

I found that to be an excellent way of dealing with it.

Awsome, good scaling, you can use the Jeffries tubes. Bloom seems under control. Amazing scaling. JUst amazing.

Yep. I just about **** myself over the tubes actually being a travel point.

then chain them to their desks till they can revamp all interiors to be like this :p

as a proof of concept for smaller interiors, moveable scenery and clickable chairs this bridge/interior pack is phenomenal. i know its been a long time in the works but its been worth the wait. if this level of detail, scale and general love of detail can be brought in for the rest of the interiors you'll have a very happy fanbase on your hands i think!

I would have bought just to support the scale initiative, but the whole interior overwhelmed me on the rest of its merits (I got a tour from someone in-game).

I particularly approved of the transporter pad that did not look larger than a Renaissance cathedral.

Now, though, the basic interiors NEED to be given a pass to come in line with this. Preferably about the same time some sort of actual usefulness is added, too...
They're not going to tell you because they build incentive for people to purchase it now and not later by leaving the date mysterious.

But they build more incentive by giving people a solid deadline to get off their duff and grab their credit card, and then they build goodwill by extending it when a bunch of people beg...

A very impressive bundle and will be buying it the second I get home today! But we still have our T1 Conny "all dressed up, and no where to go" basically. We really need a T5 Conny to actually use all this stuff..... Just saying...

TNG era bridges and interiors would still be around at this time period. They are not that old and it stands to reason they would still be available. The B-52 has been in service in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 60 years.

My chief engineer is currently cussing around my T5 Galaxy trying to get the manual switches integrated into LCARS.

The Stranded in Space transporter one is standard, I checked this right after I finished messing with uniforms. I doubt the Cutting the Cord security teams uniforms would have changed. I'm also having an issue with the Mine Enemy file decryption, I can't seem to find the interactable object in the conference room to do that.

No what we need is a Connie that scales with us.

There's no question that the TNG era ships are still in service in the time of STO. But my complaint with the devs next working on a TNG interior is that most people associate TNG with the Galaxy Class ship. Instead of spending the next few months, or better part of a year, just to give us a Galaxy Class interior the devs could take what they learned in making the TOS interior and just add it to the generic interiors already in game. Then they could add in the individual classes after it, like TMP Constitution/Miranda/Excelsior classes, then Galaxy/Nebula classes, then the Defiant Class, then Intrepid class, Sovereign etc. At the rate their going it will take about 5 years before every one gets the specific ship class interior they want. If the devs just upgrade the generic interior they could fix the scale issue which is what most people want. Then slowly add in each type of ship interior we saw in the shows.

Or they can make a few more bucks putting a TNG interior pack (perhaps along with a TNG shuttle etc.) in the C-Store. :)

    I concur.

Since I'm not big on using the TOS stuff in this era (I'm a big TOS fan, but also a continuity fan), I mostly bought it to support the Better Scaling Initiative. Which it is an impressive demonstration of. And also pretty cool.

The basic interiors need to be brought up to a similar level now.

I just wish they would have an alternate version with Lcars consoles grafted over the analogue ones. The interior just... feels RIGHT, for escorts and the connie. It feels like a properly prepared ship, hunkered down because it knows someone is about to have a bad bad day over it, and that's just fine.

Also... err, don't look up from the confrence room windows when you open them. You can see the shutters hanging in space.

Also also, um, maybe make the ladders functional, and have them act as clickable spots to move from level to level?

I think their texturing is bugged at the moment, due to the fact that their interiors are pure black, or pure grey. Kinda looks off.

But pleazepleazepleaaaaze add a version of the bridge and interior that's been refitted with Lcars! I WILL LUV YOU FOREVER FOR IT!

The ladders in the Jeffries tubes are functional, you can go into the jeffries tubes and move anywhere in the ship except the bridge!

I have to agree with people from earlier this pack really outdid it self and for a great price point! The only think you could have done to make it better was to include the connie for a limited time (I already have it so its a moot point).

    Great job guys!

P.S.: the plaque was a nice touch!

I'd rather the TNG pack though. Ships and corridors based from the current era are all good but this game features content from every series of Star Trek, it is one of it's many pulling features.

Perhaps if the game has ignored the past a little more than so be it. But the game has already established itself as more sandbox than story driven. Now the TOS content pack has been released, I hope that given strong enoguh sales, they will see the content packs as the way forward. Plus more money for Cryptic means bigger turn out for Cryptic and some guy at the top assigning more staff to work on STO.
