Well, it depends on the skill, but for the most part, if you want to upgrade a pet's skill to level three, the pet needs to be at level 40, not 20. Here's a listing of the levels needed for each skill. (it's mostly in French and weird English, but the graphs are pretty self explanatory, I think)…

Your friend most likely has customizations turned off. Have your friend try this. As for the forum avatars, none of them look exactly like the character they are supposedly representing, since they use preset images rather than a new one for each individual character. I hope that helps!

How to get the pig depends upon which one you want. I am assuming you are playing as a Venomancer, based on your avatar. In that case, there's really no point in getting the "baby" piggy unless you just want to sell it, since baby pets really don't do anything except make you look rich if you are a class other than…

It didn't work for me, either. I also reinstalled everything, and let it verify all five thousand times that it wanted to, and it still didn't change anything. Oh well. I hope it can (and will) be fixed, hopefully soon.
