Polaxe is an axe weapon, so heres what i have to say. Axes are the best leveling for BMs, as they have a multitude of AoEs and are the fastest levelers. Axe BM is the second best BM for 1v1 also, so if you go axe you get Fastest leveling+Great TW/GW fights+Second best 1v1. Not a bad tradeoff, eh?

Not all the time, Axe is better for TW and GW because it has area attacks. Axe also levels faster.
