Well, there went my prediction of gold going down to 125k by Halloween. Seriously, PWE? Did you not make enough the first time around? This is going to ruin the game for a LONG time, and I just don't see myself living through another month of this.

As a Venomancer, the only pots I carry are Hisako's Mantou...but I may be upgrading them. I do use the pots that I find while grinding, but I usually sell them to NPC's. And yeah, but once the pet left aggro was reset and the pet couldn't get it back.

Personally, I use a Lunar Lupin all the time now. It just recently hit 60, so I put Bash4 on it, and it's honestly one of the best pets I've ever used. It's fast so it can pull, it hits decently hard, and has Howl5 on it so it can help against bosses without pulling aggro.

Tomes are helpful to Venomancers, but I don't know about to archers. Charms are what will help you more. You can get +exp items from crafting or identifying drops. Some tomes give +1%EXP Along with a regen boost.

A good alternative to the Shadou that I've found is the Lunar Lupin. You don't have a pet with maxed Magic Resistence and a decent attack stat come around every day, especially when it has Howl5 (-36% Magic Def for 15 seconds) so you can use it in instances to assist the team without it stealing aggro from the tank.

I personally use a Lunar Lupin, and I call him "Shadou Cub for Cheap People". He's no Herc, but he can still hold aggro and not take aggro from the main tank in instances while helping.
