  • In Sanctuary, I've seen at least 3 Spanish-speaking guilds... Just pay attention to the World Chat, from time to time they start to seek for members. By the way, I also speak spanish. So, if you see me online, eel free to ask me about any troubles you might have.
  • There's some chance that these issues are caused because some GFX Cards's drivers (Such as the entire Intel mobile series) aren't entirely supported by Linux. At least, it could explain why the graphics look less detailed in the emulation than in the "real" Windows... Have you tried installing alternative or restricted…
  • I've just checked my skill tree, and it says "Next level available: X, X". It means that, when you reach that level, you can upgragde your skill. That's it. Don't worry about asking, there are lots of helpful users in this forum. Even if I'm mistaken -as Venomancer is not my class- they should be able to give you a better…
  • As far as I know, there isn't a warning for each new skill, but don't worry! There's no way you can "miss" a skill. If you don't talk to the Elder in time, you can always come back later, and learn the skill then. It won't disappear.
  • Zoe, I was actually a GM on :cough:an un-named MMORPG:cough:, and was able to see with my own eyes how the leader of one of the top guilds botted his character, and forced his mates to bot too, in order to keep their status. 3 GM's asked for a ban over them, and it sure was a hard time convincing the admins of that, while,…
  • In fact, the "don't discuss bans in the Forums" rule isn't exclusive of Perfect World. Other companies, like IGG also have the same policy, mostly because bans are a private matter, and because some popular users in the forum used that to their advantage in order to avoid a punishment. It also worked the opposite way.…
  • Yeah, you're right about that one. Thanks for the comment. You know? Maybe the "Cleric" or "Wizard" class could be renamed to "Taoist Priest", it would be more fitting for a chinese-culture game. After all, they kick demon **** in a lot of tales, and even in one of them get a "Spiritual Arrow attack". That's what I said:…
  • I was wrong, check what GM Dvorak said behind. And there won't be Server Manteinance this week! ^^
  • Some weeks ago, I was told the Blacksmith on Village of the Brutes had more chance to craft a 2 or 3 star weapon, because it's on a "Hidden location", and it was the only Blacksmith NPC without a coordinate set. But no... I leveled up my blacksmithing skill there and I only got 3 2-Star weapons and some armors with special…
  • I like this idea too. One of the main things that convinced me into playing this MMORPG was the "based on Chinese mythology" claim. Though, after a month playing it I feel that should be changed to "based around the Lord of the Rings universe with some small winks to actual chinese legends". Or maybe I'm wrong and JRR…
  • I second this. After all, we know that not all of the suggestions here would be able to make it to the final game, but anyways, we want a little more attention put on this forum. Just some answers from the GM's from a programmer/gamer/salesman perspective on why a suggestion can or can't be accepted.
  • Nop! I have Windows XP, and it worked without any troubles. Maybe in some cases, you'll have to allow the client in your firewall settings...
  • Reality is cruel, that's why people like MMORPG's! Anyways, I don't see the big deal. Pick any children's series / book / wathever, and some character will die at some point.
  • I was going to say that maybe your level is too high now for accepting that quest, but... you never got it? How about your Spiritual Cultivation level?
  • Don't worry, that's normal. Chi increases by killing mobs, and lots of actions (see what Amiris posted). Unless you get an action or Skill that uses up Chi, it won't decrease.
  • As I said on a previous thread, I decided to play this game because it was made by "Perfect World Entertainment". In the world of free MMORPG's, it's really strange to find a game published by the company that actually created it. I thought that would mean the developers would be able to hear our suggestions and bug…
  • Well... my only character, at the moment is the one I'm in, Nevdemo. But lately, I've spent more time on the forums because my connection is faling at the worse moments. However... please note one thing: The Ubuntu solution won't fix your login issue. I suggested it so you can backup your 6 years of data safely, and then…
  • After looking this thread, I got curious and checked your post. Good research, though I must say that this game is as Chinese as JRR Tolkien... Only a joke, but hey, after reading all of Pu Songling's Tales and Joruney to the West, I can't remember the winged elves or the guys in medieval armor. Venomancers are the only…
  • To unlock some locations, such as the main cities and the Archosaur, you need to do certain quests first, which depend on your character's class.
  • A DVD-R or a blank CD will work too, don't worry for that.
  • Not at all, that's optional. The flash drive is only used to save the files you want to keep, but you can burn them to a CD, or a DVD, even copy them to any USB drive. The ISO file is the one you download from: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download after pressing the big green button.
  • Oh, I supposed that solution would be a bit complicated... Sorry. Anyways, there's a simple way to do it. You only need: - A decent internet connection - Blank CD's / DVD's / an USB memory. Follow the instructions on this page, and you're done:…
  • Alright. If you don't own a Windows CD, or your Hard disk is almost full... don't worry! After all, the main premise is to save your data, alright? Just follow these instructions: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/use-ubuntu-live-cd-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-windows-computer/ And when you're done backing up…
  • Basically, option #2 follows this plan: 1) You get a boot disk, so you can use the PC with a graphical interface. 2) Make a new partition in your disk 3) Backup all your data to this new one 4) Format your old partition, and install XP 5) Merge both partitions, and Ta-Da! A fresh install, with your old files. However, for…
  • Alright. Well, from this point, I've 2 suggestions for you: #1: If you keep your Windows XP CD with you, or someone is able to lend it, we can try to repair the system files from the Recovery console. #2: If you don't have that CD at hand, but another PC with a decent internet speed, and only want to save your data, then…
  • Ok, maybe it's my time to lend you a hand! First of all, if your machine fails can't show you the Logon screen, it means that the OS itself has some kind of error. Either a system file is missing or corrupted, or you've got a virus. Do you remember any strange behavior before your PC failed to start?
  • If you take a screenshot of your screen while the error appears and post it here, maybe it'll help some of the MODs can figure out what's happening...
  • Now that you are polishing the Forum, any chances on implementing a "Report a Post" button?
  • I think that "lack of Consistency" it's what makes an original game, isn't it? I don't see any trouble in attacks varying, all the contrary, it adds depth to a game. I would leave immediately any MMORPG in which every singe mob would have the same lame attack. But anyways, maybe you like another kind of games.
  • Because there are ways to tell people they are wrong. If you do it in the proper one, they actually THANK you for clarifying a fact. And nah, I'm not against your facts. TWs are so fun here that I'd be eager to wake up at any hour to play them. But I know that not everyone are in my situation, so I second this thread. I…
