Your example would roughly compare to TW if you'd say "I want to win a gold medal in the Olympics so I am going to join the biggest team because the biggest team always gets the medals." Gladly real life Olympics isn't (much) like that, but TW surely is. Money + Numbers = Win. Use credit card, buy Oracles/Gear, level char…

The TW system cannot be salvaged without completing tossing it into the bin and coming up with something totally new. Want proof? Look at the territory map. 'nuff said. The way the system is designed it will always end up with less than a handful of guilds owning the entire map, meaning that it's pointless. TW is easily…

I have the same issue. I made a tideborn and can't even walk two steps with that char without the game crashing. I am on Win 7 and an ATI card, but I don't think that's the issue, since none of my old chars have any problem (so no, it can't be lag either).

I meant deleting them and replacing them with more reasonable quests. Sorry for being unclear. ;)

1. Addition of an actual fun PvP mode since this game doesn't have any (e.g. a squad vs. squad type of tournament). And no, PK really doesn't count. And neither does TW since it's for a tiny, tiny minority of all players that are in hugely large guilds. 2. Delete the Villa Quest from the game and replace it with something…

You must have missed my first post. My point was that good MMO game design doesn't make people wait in a line, ever. Which is why all rare spawns (=bosses) belong into instances. Queuing up is the civilized people's way of dealing with crappy game design, nothing more, nothing less. And even that only halfway works when…

The point of all MMORPGs or any game for that matter is to provide the players with a satisfying experience. Name me one, just _one_ person in the entire galaxy who is considering standing in a line to be a satisfying or fun or challenging experience. I rest my case.

The bosses might occasionally slap you, Haz. But it's just your job to absorb blows! b:laugh
-
I don't care about all-caps typists. Literally. Meaning if you type anything in all-caps, I don't read it. Which is particularly funny if you ask me to res you that way. b:laugh

Every quest that makes people compete for spawns is broken by design. Wasting time by waiting in a line isn't the point of an RPG, killing monsters is. All boss monsters belong into instances, then this stupid stuff wouldn't happen at all.
-
I don't consider this a problem - on the contrary. The problem rather is that - like most things in PW - it will again require a group of very specific classes (1 Barb, 2 Cleric, 1 Lure-Veno, 2 DPS... *yawn*). I wish they'd bring stuff you could do with unusual groups, too, like 3 Clerics and 3 Wizards.

Well, we are not a TW guild and Zhenning also isn't that popular with our members, but other than that, we might be close to what you are looking for. In case you can't find a guild that meets all of your ideals, you can find more information on us here. Just leave a note there in case you are interested and we can set up…

My gripes: - Fixed schedules (Events, TW). I hate fixed schedules, really. - Not enough organized PvP options (TW is for a small minority of all players). - Lack of repeatable dungeons besides TT and Frostcovered - "Solo Mode" in TT/Frostcovered isn't solo mode at all. It's "Veno Mode", maybe... - Too many unimaginative…

I like the subtle irony in this line... b:chuckle

The one thing in this thread I actually agree with. There should be more choices for armor, too. One set just per class and level doesn't really cut it.
-
That was a good sale, there are a lot of happy Venos now in my guild. Thanks, GMs! And to all those who are complaining, $98 is still anything but cheap....
-
*bumpedy, bump* We're still recruiting... b:cute

The thread should have ended right here, with post #3. PW offers clothes of all kind, nobody has to buy any set they don't like. So, in the end it's not about skimpy vs. non-skimpy clothing but about the right to choose. If people want to wear skimpy clothing it's their right to do so. Both in real life and in game. If…

This thread is priceless....

There are STILL people who PK without dolls? wow....b:shocked

I usually never have any problem with the randoms I play with. I have no idea why your teams always end up in drama. Second, there are not too many guilds, there are exactly as many guilds as people wanted to make since supply=demand. No, the vast majority of those can't do TW, I guess it's because they don't want to. As…

A few more PvP options wouldn't hurt either...
-
That is basically the very core of my line of thought. How many guilds are there on HT that are considerably larger than mine _and_ not already doing TW? I know there are a few, sure. But how many guilds are there, on the entire server, that have a full roster of close to 200 and no alts in them? I would dare saying that…

I find it rather funny that you feel the need to retaliate, considering that nothing I wrote was designed or intended to attack you. I guess you missed the point of my post, rather. I was trying to explain why that line was about as much BS as you can put in one single line: Neglecting Defected's unique way of "asking" for…

The point I tried to make earlier was that you still forget you're on a PvE server. And I didn't mean that in a way to belittle your PvP skills but to point out that many many players on this server don't have the slightest interest in PvP. With that in mind, I am not sure why you consider those people who just don't care…
-
That isn't a complaint, it's just a fact (one that I will claim is true unless you can prove that HT is now a PvP server). Actually I wasn't complaining about anything, your guildmate was. b:bye
-
Sorry for pointing out the obvious - but did it occur to you that you're on a PvE server? It is a well known fact that the TW system is geared towards high level powergamers only, and that's how much? 5% of the server population? My guess is that the vast majority of this server's population doesn't care about PvP in…
-
I guess that's the entire point why nobody ever will have such a weapon. I want to have some of whatever the person smoked who designed that quest to get Warsoul weapons. It must be fairly strong stuff. That person even forgot that humans are mortal and thus have limited time to play a game, it seems.
-
The question I am really curious about is - if you are fully aware that what you do is pissing the vast majority of your fellow players off and would earn you a kick from almost every single guild out there... why are you doing it in the first place? Do you really consider it fun pissing others off? The word "racist" is…
-
No. But don't worry, I don't care enough about you to feel sorry for you either.
