Personally, this bug hits my squad almost every time we try to enter. (Though it hits me, personally, maybe 10% of the time.) I have had a number of occasions where we gave up after an hour of trying to get in. And that's without buffing or buillding chi between attempts. So it sounds very much like something is going on…
-
Have you worked out how that works out if you put your chi into triple sparks? (I think your chi gain advantage is greater than 3%....)
-
That's the max unbuffed attack rate with a bow. But demons have attack rate buff skills (and there are other possibilities also).
-
Personally, I play here because I have friends here. And I have to wonder, given how you posed that question, if this is really such a strange concept for you? Anyways, I totally understand the drive to have the biggest number. But, personally? Only one person in any context can have that biggest number, and I do not have…

I think the fastest ranged attack rate would be from a archer using a demon attack speed buff with a haze dispeller with the -0.1 interval mod and full interval gear. I think I remember reading once, though that there's a hard limit of 2.5 attacks per second with ranged weapons. So, if that is true, ranged weapons can…

Sage STA is useful for high health targets, but you can sometimes have a lot of targets where Deadly Shot or Take Aim is a high probability oneshot, and sometimes you have situations where they will not notice you before you attack them. And if you want an example for when single target zooming thunder would be worthwhile,…
-
Wouldn't that depend on when the character was created? If I understand properly, there was a time when your choice of servers was: 1. Lost City 2. Heaven's Tear And I do not think you can meaningfully suggest that Lost City would be better for a PvE player than Heaven's Tear. Of course, Sanctuary was added not long after…

I can think of two cases where I might want to use deadly shot in place of take aim. One of those cases is where take aim is on cooldown (or, hypothetically speaking, where I wanted take aim to not be on cooldown after taking the shot). The other of those cases would be in a zooming thunder powder macro. Here, deadly shot…

Ok, but if you are doing 5aps triple spark, sage gets a better damage fire buff, and demon may or may not get +2% crit (is that ranged only? i am not sure) and the dps comparison based on increased attack rate for demon was meaningless, and assassin is a better cultivation than archer. Anyways, you are right -- dps is very…

If you are not going to work out the best full cycle for demon and the best full cycle, you do not know if sage dph balances demon burst damage over the course of the cycle nor do you know how big of a difference you get if they do not.
-
I think that you should have noted that these DPS numbers are burst dps, and not sustained dps. And Demon has other ways of getting good burst dps numbers (though this particular one has perhaps the least setup penalty, and is most comparable to sage). But sustained DPS requires additional work (because you must consider…

But Pan Gu Creator says it gives a 1% channelling bonus. (But I have not checked with eye of observation.) Does it really give a 3% channelling bonus?

Sage stormrage eagelon can be useful on Legion Marshall, Dark Colluseast, and Twilight Emperor. Basically, you need to have sufficient chi, and you need to be in a situation where 20% damage reduction can be useful to your party. You sometimes have to manage your own aggro, also, especially if its your tank you are helping…
-
I do not remember where I got 80% from, and I have not tested that recently, and I could be wrong about the damage reduction percent you get from winged shell. However, I also believe that damage reduction from winged shell stacks with other damage reduction mechanisms. And, I believe I tested that. I just wish I remember…
-
So, ok, we might need to discuss the mechanics of winged shell: And I believe you are interpreting a bad translation from chinese to be the actual mechanics of the skill. In practice, though, that specific amount is the health of your shell. Until your shell absorbs that amount of damage, or until it times out, it stays…

So.. ok... I am going to presume that we are still talking about my original assertion: ...but I do not think your example represents a short battle. First, your damage is way too low for a short battle. But, also, I do not think 100 hits would be "short". Nevertheless, you can still see hints of the issue I was speaking…
-
So, ok, maybe I am missing something? But for example: if your defense is high enough to keep your winged shell from being popped in one hit, when you increase your defense you are actually reducing the amount of damage being absorbed by winged shell. But this does not ever happen with evasion, does it?
-
Edit: bah! i had not realized that there is no 45 dex tome! In principle there is a 35 dex tome but if you upgrade it your dexterity decreases... So, ok, bah... (And, yes, I feel stupid...)
-
Let us say that you have a 20% chance to evade, ok? That is your chance to evade one attack. But if you have a 20% chance to evade one attack this means that you have a 36% chance to evade one attack if you are attacked twice. Or, from a different point of view: evasion can keep your winged shell from popping. Or, put…

People used to shard all attack level gems, and I imagine some might still? But I have no experience in that part of the game, so I cannot comment much on how good it is. Still... I imagine this setup would work great when you are alive, though of course the dps of a dead archer is rather dismal. Then again you would have…
-
I should also point out something that has been getting no discussion that I have seen: The archer skill "Winged Shell" interacts nicely with evasion, in the context of short battles. In essence, it gives you an extra chance for evasion to mean something. (And, of course, Deaden Nerves fills a similar role for Assassins.)
-
Ok... I apologize for stating that issue like that. I still think my underlying point was valid, but I agree that for this thread I should have qualified it: In PvP, against someone using physical attacks, increasing evasion does increase a person's odds of surviving any specific sequence of attacks where their survival…

Here is how to delete a post: In the upper left hand corner of the your post you should see a #number with a date underneath it. Right now, on your post, I see: #9 above the date Today, 05:36 AM. Anyways, If you click on that number and that number is for your post, it should take you to a page that shows only your post…

AIethea... everyone has a viewpoint. Beyond that, the concept that I used "survivability" to label, you have indirectly used "general tanking theory" to label. Neither of our labels are perfect, but I am ok with that because this is how english works. Also, especially in your "tunnel vision" paragraph, you have been…
-
My point of view is somewhat different from yours, but only subtly. You are right that in a short battle, evasion can radically increase your odds of survival. Also, if you are concerned with breaking up a chain of attacks, evasion becomes even better for your survival, since each attack is another opportunity for evasion…
-
But if you think that evasion increases your survivability, evasion can never work. Evasion gives you a chance of avoiding damage (and a few status effects) but only sometimes, and since it's random there will always be times when it does nothing.
-
Oooooo........ Ok! And do let us know when you have anything to say that means anything?
-
And I imagine I should ask if you have learned to comprehend the words you read? I think you should go read again, the posts that talk about "expel" in this thread. And then you should notice the names on them, paying special attention to how they are spelled. And then you should count how many have names spelled "Fleuri".…

You are absolutely right: I do not have that much HP. But could you perhaps explain your thinking for me? So, for example, let's say that my hope fails, and that assassin uses throatcut on me. Most likely, my channelling has been interrupted, and I cannot use skills for four seconds. Are you really telling me that you…

And all the archer has to do, if the assassin decides to run away, is: wings of grace, town portal. (Or, teleport incense, if town portal is too hot...)
