    this is just a wild far streched speculation based on my interpretation of some rumor and this, but maybe, just maybe this reincarnation stuff and coming back to the origins stuff, has something to do with how jd has the ascension system (ofc something customized to pwi)?

    It specifically says they worked on PW and Jade Dynasty (released in China in 2007), so we at least know they worked with Wanmei after PW was released. At the earliest, they worked with Wanmei until 2007. Maybe that 2008 estimation isn't that far off...

    For PW, development started around 2000, the first release was around 2003. I found that somewhere yesterday when I was digging up info about the rumors before I saw your post.

    Actually, a lot of their games use the Angelica engine or a variant of it. As a result, it is extremely easy to copy code from one game to another.
    A great example of this is Morai. A lot of that code came from FW.

    What release did they have in 2003?

    I know in 2004 they had some betas. 2005 is when they released p2p pw.
    I've seen some of the files in the client with a copyright date of 2003.

    Apparently that new continent is supposed to be the world in which our character's races used to live in before perfect world formed. I'm going to call this the old world until I see a better name for it.

    Seeing that Wanmei is plastering the date 10/24 everywhere, I'm assuming it's the beta that google is bringing up.

    The backstory 2 post goes on about server history and the underwater kingdom.
