yes im rambling nonsense . yes i know its not a secret. BUT as a result of this recent choice to post it openly I now have 3 persistent visitors that i didnt have before. What is it with you sheep that have no issue with companies taking liberties that are in noway neccessary to carry out their business? WTF does PWI gain by displaying such info? If its so harmless then don't you think their time could have been better spent elsewhere? Yah I dont give a flying ** about people who are all about "lets sit on our thumb, its harmless." I've learned that behind such actions is usually a person that lets everyone else fight lifes battles for them small or big. Ignoring them is not solving the problem et until the business Im seeking is open in 3 hrs to deal with this area outside of my forte I chose to share with PWE just a SMALL portion of inconvenience they are creating. I think I have PAID in full for this one time laspe in courtesy to them. There is NO reason for PWE to go through the trouble of displaying more et more info on their customers out in the open. The previous posters already stated your IP address could be attained even before this feature.Moreover,it's not like your IP address and last login time was displayed publicly to evetry single player around you.

You obviously dont know many people in the jewelry industry. Never take the same path home on schedule. Never be flashy or draw attention to the items you are carrying if not neccessary on a daily basis. et keep your free time while hobbying random. These habits they adapted did not come from "paranoid hypotheticals".
Showing achievements is a way to track playing habits no? If my acheivements are popping up in the afternoon on a regular basis, now anyone who wants to know can see what timeframe i'm usually around. achievemnets are already in core connect.

On the thread about hacking yesterday I met some forum authors who insisted i was wrong. NO WAY it was something going on as a result of something PWE did or didnt do. Not possible, totally irrational. et that I must have download a keylogger somewhere.

1. Yes, every 14 year old that has epic hacking skills will want your amazing pixel items. Oh, and con men too, because you have to have an IQ of over 9000 to not fall into their "Hey gimme your item and I'll dance for you" trap. Damn sexy con men and their dancing.

2. Jewery industry has nothing to do with PWI or pixels. No one but the person staring at your computer screen and the GMs can see the IP message, so you're not really flashing your sparklies around. If you really have prior security issues like someone else seeing your IP address daily, then your beef is NOT with PWI, it's with your prior security habits.

3. Achievements are broken. Everyone and their muffin baking grandmother knows that core connect can't be trusted.

4. Oh, so you're using Internet Explorer then? That explains why your IP address might be splattered everywhere. It's not secure at all, in my opinion. But sure, keep using it!

5. Keylogger? Possible, without an adblocker sometimes. Certain ads can actually run scripts automatically and without you're knowledge. Flash programmers are ninjas like that, I know because I've made ads myself. b:chuckle

6. You have the United Nations visiting you this morning? O_O That's astounding, if I do say so myself. You'll give them tea, won't you?

7. Don't chew gum if you're allergic to peanuts. I don't see what that metaphor has to do with PWE.

yes i use IE google chrome et firefox.
It wasnt my choice of browser that got me ****.
As to core connect etc etc PWE should just keep it simple et your eluding to the flaws of core connect just illustrated why.
Im glad i am not alone in my dumb dumb corner *looks around* seems i have lots of company by the looks of some of these posts short or longue,walled or numbered ;P

For track shared account they don't need to show it to user itself. And one don't necessary log on from same IP.

I don't see it dangerous. If I would be afraid to show your IP. You should unplug my home computer from internet and use just public computers or use tor or proxy to hide your IP

Well maybe PWE should add check box to user profile if they want to activate the feature so we who want to use it could use and those who don't want it they don't check it. When you check it would start to show IP it after that moment. Not log on before.

Facepalm however, Im pretty sure everyone else knew I was being sarcastic, but just in case, the lovefilm ads at the top of the page have your IP, I was alluding to the fact that anyone can get it, all it takes is a link.

The link btw, is completely safe, feel free to ask around. Zonealarm is probably the easiest to use Firewall around. It pops up whenever ANYTHING tries to use the internet and you simply click yes or no ^_^. (You can make it remember too). It will also completely ignore any incoming requests your computer isnt expecting, effectively making you invisible. Pings will get no response, messenger pop ups wont get through and browser bypass code/messages will be denied.

If your paranoid / intelligent, use it. (I use it because im cautious ^_^)
