    I just made a quick search through Core Connect to compare vindi players vs LG and if my numbers are close to right vindi has around 38 OP (nirvana/high refine) r9 players vs LG 43 OP/r9 players with the refine/shards/how many pieces of r9 variation where LG has the upper hand imo. Add up a drastic decrease in sign ups and ingame activity its more than enough proof to go from beating LG in 1 hr to losing to them in 1hr.

    Also have to agree with kerona that LG has improved alot in offense and I find it really good.

    Nuke and I just went through and refined those numbers debating activeness and tw participation.
    We fought tooth and nail.
    We agreed on 44 OP/R9 Vindicate and 38 OP/R9 Legendary.

    Ruvil and I did the same process with less fighting and more making fun of his small **** about just R9s and came to 29 Vindicate R9s and 25 LG r9s.

    Both insisted sharding/refines was a huge part of the difference, however Ruvil conceded we just use our lower geared people more effectively >.>

    8D CLEARLY gear is the issue here!

    For the record, Nuke also has small ****.

    @ Asty:
    Sui is 6/6 aaaaaaaand Vindi has a new R9 Archer Disconnect seems low refine and wep.

    This was not a productive way to spend my afternoon!

    no fair! you can't show archers only! vindi has soo many scary r9 barbs and bm, and let's face it, r9 > vana any day, even if they are equally refined. the attack lvl alone is >.>

    a lot of lg uses vana gear only

    no way.... have you feel the power of a hf + arma >.< i see people dropping like flies when that happens

    and also g15 weapon is similar to r8 weapon unless you get the 20 attack lvl, and i'm sure you guys have plenty of r8

    exactly... you have to get close to arma and hf and become a target for every1 around you, casters have to total advantage plus you have ad and pots to counter. I do pretty well against melee classes its the casters that get me all the time

    i thought that is an excellent strategy... when your bm and barbs run in, caster have to choice but to try to disrupt your bm and barbs before they can use their combo, having r9 bm and barbs makes it even harder to kill.

    thus forcing the majority of us to target the barbs and bm, and when those barb and bm get away alive after finishing their combo, it just allowed your dd to get hit a lot less. we have very little r9 barbs and even less r9 bm to allow us to do this. i can't tell you how many times i've seen my squad getting wipe from those aoes.

    its a good theory if the bm/barb could tank all those insanely DDs casters w/o ig on, if the caster is smart and fast enough to counter the bm hf and arma then those melee will die xD. Pako pms me after every single tw complaining how he cant get me not 1 single time now I just tell him I kinda developed a 6th sense for them >.>

    Just something I pull out of my ***:

    On paper, R9 melees are dangerous because they draw fire. You can't exactly ignore them because their damage potential and interrupts are decent, but they have the most hp of any class if you have to fight them. In essence, they can be "win tanks." (fail tanks are those who are hard to kill but you can safely ignore) They don't have to be invincible, but just being able to tank more than your ranged DD is something already.

    Of course, HF+Arma kills a lot of people, but ranged characters can AOE many times over as opposed to rushing in and pretty much committing suicide. I think melees are mostly good for opening opportunities for the ranged on their team to exploit, so in a way their effectiveness is heavily influenced by their teammates. If the ranged support is lacking, then they are simply caught in an awful mess, hard to give chase and hard to run away. In the mess that is TW where people lag, it's hard for many to work together even if you want to, which is yet another reason why ranged dominate so much in TW, especially after tab targetting.

    Then again, Psys, or any well-geared ranged who can stand there and not die, fill the "win tank" role well with very good ranged damage to boot. So, not sure exactly how having good R9 melees other than the obligatory cats impact the TW as opposed to having good R9 ranged.

    its true r9 caster/dd > melee

    seemonkey from enelysion can easily hold off 1-2 squads alone. shes a boss in tw. i mean i havent counted the exact # of r9 in enelysion, but i know regi have more, but we still are close to losing to enelysion because we dont have any r9 psys and not enough r9 dd/caster. we have a lot of r9 barb (cat barb)/bms/sins, but that lead us no where

    It is extremely unlikely that two opponents will be matched exactly in gear. Whoever is at a disadvantage simply has to 'play better.'

    Dball is a rank 9 psy b:shocked and you got at least 5x more ranks 9 DD/casters then ene has got

    Well thanks for the nice compliment Bearish but it's not exactly true. If I go vs any squad by myself I'll get squashed.

    I really do rely on my own squad to back me up and save me/distract.

    We don't have many R9's at all. We have I think 1 R9 bow Archer and zero R9 clerics. But yes we do have a pretty strong AA force, but that is not enough, you need a good balance, which we do not have yet.
