Id say most people I know have already rolled sins while the others are either too lazy, hoping for balance fixes, or don't care about the relative performance of their class.

We aren't complaining about your defense buffs. You need them to survive. What we are complaining about is that every class's defense buffs should work for PvP 100% of the time too. The psychic's soulforce effects are similar to a veno's bramble buff. The controversy is just that the veno's buff is nerfed in open PvP while a psychic's isn't which defies logic.
It seems to me that the bramble nerf is obsolete and should be reverted back to work 100% in all PvP and not just TW and duels.
As for the other issues regarding sins. those arguments are for other posts and threads really.
I've always agreed that bramble should work in PvP. It's one of the Venomancer's best abilities, and it's always pissed me off that for some reason, they haven't bothered to allow Venomancers to use that in scenarios where quite frankly, as a caster class, some Venomancer NEED it. (Pure MAG Venomancers, for example, if there are any actually LEFT.) There's honestly not even really a point in having bramble IMO unless you're PvE...
I just found it amusing that the random cleric who has never so much as appeared in PvP wants to talk about purifying Soulforce buffs. Knowing first hand from both sides veno/sin, a full bramble effect would utterly annihilate melee class's in pvp. On my assassin whose only 96 1.67/2.22 (so no not super aps man) ive dueled 9x veno's and other people who have bramble on, the amount of damage i take from bramble is ridiculous. A triple spark that i cast, will reduce my hp to 0 before there's reaches half. ._.;; As for shadow escape, eh i use it in frost more then pvp. Second boss ill stealth for the extra spark so i can triple and clear mobs faster. And tbh in PVP a sin is god 1v1 if no one else is around. The moment someone else appears and notices you pop out of stealth, the assassin nine times out of ten will be ganked.

When u drop smoke bombs, u lose it and not gaining it back means u should actually lose spark, not gaining it.0 -

Bramble Hood does nothing for reflect, and does reduce damage taken.
Bramble Guard is reduced, IIRC, but I don't know how much.
Bramble has never seemed to have much effect for me. Sin will kill me and still have 80% hp left. That's from duels though.101 Sage Sin*/Archer

I second the motion on having bramble being nurfed DURING PVP ONLY. It seems fair enough considering the damage that it does, and add a Nix and Rank into the mix....As for Psychic buffs not being purge'd....

If you're a melee class, the last thing you're worried about is their buffs. They don't even really hurt that bad unless you have a Psychic with Rank (URDIAN COUGH!) or incredibly large amounts of refines. Psys are usually oneshots anyway out of White.0 -

agreed. having it give 1 spark doesn't really make any dam sence anyway. it's a skill that's used ta save yer ***, so make sure you have the chi required to save your ***. BMs do it with diamond sutra, and sins have a high attack rate, al be it not as high as claws, it's still pretty high. it's more than likely that you'll have the chi ta cast it anyway, and if not, you haven't planned ahead carefully enough, and you fail.
besides, don't yall already have an "oh ****" skill other than the combat mode stealth skill? i can't quite think of the name at the moment, but i believe it allows you to survive a kill strike by restoring 20% of your hp. if you have that and couldn't handle having your combat mode shadow hide skill cost 1 spark, then yer kinda abit of a fail...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Only defence buff? You must be a real sucky veno if you dont know how to use Fox Form. Most would consider that a somewhat defensive buff, at 120/150% defence increase. QQ about attack nerf will be coming, so stuff it in advance. Purge, Amp, nix bleed, Stunning blow = dead sin that cant run. Unless Sage and they can Purify-Escape.
Im genuinely not sure what buff you are on about that cant be purged, ive lost every buff ive ever had up to purge, so I can only assume Tidal Protection or Focused Mind can dodge a purge.
60% Reflect would mean you COULD NOT BE ATTACKED. I hit you for 4k then 6k. I just got wallopped a total of 6k Myself. Unless im charmed, I cannot continue to attack, whereas if you are charmed, you are just giggling away and going "Lolz you cant hit me".
---Im not against Bramble in PvP. At say 10% it would be great for weakening melee opponents, and Hood would be fine left unnerfed at 200% since it is a very temporary 2 spark skill. But at 60-75%, Bramble Guard is a stupid skill and has been left out of PvP for good reason0 -
I agree maybe a 10-20% bramble would make melee combat interesting to say the least, but i dunno, knockback ._. seems a little unfair to me and as for shadow escape, make it so it cost mana only (no spark gain/loss) it has a long enough cooldown anyways. Plus while casting it, if a magic class is channeling a skill, it will still hit. Countless times have i been slept by a cleric while stealthed ._.'Ahira is a spyb:cryb:cryb:cry0

I borrowed my friends 8x sin once and was easily able to kill 8x arcanes and light armours with level 5 daggers xD (of course under the condition that i could use stealth, and sometimes genie. i didnt even need genie most of the time. power dash is my friend). CC them genie skills etc. Always walk out untouched. I would do a lot more than just nerf shadow escape. I honestly think that every class needs tweaks here and there, but i doubt that the developers would actually do that... I've played plenty of games where every week skills get changed or revised. If the changes dont seem to balance things out they would change the skill back the next week or revise it some more. No biggie. However, like I said, the developers of pw are probably really lazy.0

Well if you are a lvl 10x sin with tt99 gear, nirvana/r8 daggers (around +7 or under), 3-4aps and around +4/+5 gear and you try to take out a barb like Susamajii with full nirvana +10/+12/vit stones/josd and actually kill him on a 1n1 its cuz one of three reason:
1) He is afk out of sz or dc'ed
2) He is just the worst pk barb ever (no offence intended)
3) Your class (sin) is wayyyyyyyyy op'ed0 -

1. Make reflect skills work in PVP. (IE: Bramble, Bramble Hood, Demon Roar, Alpha Male, Reflective Aura, etc.) What does this do? Well for starters let's see a sin triple spark on a BM and try to kill him when he is brambled. 90% of these sins will drop over dead before they even bypass the charm. Or let's see them try to kill a veno through bramble hood (yes they can do this, and easily) they would die in 2 seconds trying this **** which they shouldn't be able to do in the first place.
^ This will be a great idea and should be brought back.
2. Make KNOCKBACK skills work in pvp. Now I use to play a game that I won't mention the name of but in that game knockback was possibly the most OP annoying BS ever but that was because it was implemented on every attack of the archer class due to the bow they used. Now just using knockback skills (IE: mage phoenix, archer knockback arrow/knockback aoe, barb slam, etc) these skills have a cool-down so this will not be as broken as the example i gave. What would this do? Well sins are a melee class knocking them back means they can't hit you at least for a short period of time.
^ Also a great idea.
((**EDIT**: This would also require a change in the definition of anti-stun to make it resistant to knockback as well as other movement impairments))

I agree with this and this should happen to make the range/magic classes to be on more fair ground with sins.
At least for BM's with 5aps you can kite them if you are a magic class but if you dont know what you are doing will will get stunned and die.
For sins its impossible to kite them since they can just stealth and then kill you with stuns and then with auto-attack or even if you survive the first attack from the sin and you try to fly away and kite them they can just shadow just/tacklslash or shadow tele and then stunlock you to death or use 5aps and instantly kill you.
Even though this is a great idea, PWI will most like ignore this and just continue trying to add new types of packs into the cashshop.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I'm glad I'm not alone who saying, the game is broken in many ways. Especially in balance. I'm telling this already 8 months. That's the reason why stopped play this version of PW.
Who doesn't agree, just try to play some version of PW without tideborns. You will be surprised how good game is balanced comparing to this game.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Can people please stop referring to tideborns as new classes. Sins + psys have been out for way over 1 year already. If i have to read 1 more post about "assassin is a new class and you just need to find the right strategy to beat them" i will probably puke. Way to keep living in the past, seriously go look at a calendar its 2011 and Tideborn expansion was in 2009 <_<
If sins had some hidden flaws/weakness during 1v1 pvp and pve, it would have been found out by now. There really is none, beside sins being dead meat if they're found by a higher lvl assassin outside of sz.
Earthguard is the new race with new classes btw if anyone actually missed that.0 -

I've kinda been exploring other version of the game too. What gets me is that it take little effort to make these kinds of changes. It's not like you need to edit the million lines of code to do it. Just alter the values in a spreadsheet or something linked to the game on the server or whatever.I **** bigger than you...
