1- we are pwi, not pw china. we have *different* problems. our problem is cash shoppers (and the things you choose to put in the cash shop). why is it ok to be totally independent from the china version when it comes to the cash shop but not when it comes to... anything else? stop bringing their fixes for their weird problems over to our version that DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS!
2- we do not have too much coin going around because of tw money. we have too much coin in the system because of packs and the 10 mil notes. grinding was the poor-man's way to make coin and it was always the worst way to make money, farming, now it's even worse with the lowered dq prices. tw was an alternative for many people, but now the only worthwhile way of generating new coin in game is via packs, which basically means you need to buy in game coin with real life money.
3- let us all not forget to mention that the very first wave of an unreasonable spike in gold prices was when pwi introduced the chest of coins and the perfect hammer. even if you lower gold prices, they'll never go lower than 200k.
4- this was an unfair implementation because on my server as an example, you had one guild farming all of that coin for a year if not longer. they had all that time to use all that coin to create the gross monopoly that held on for so long. what you did with this change is take away any chance that any other guild has at ever seeing any of that money. that is the entire incentive that guilds not already on the map have for even twing in the first place.
5 - bravo for giving us "emergency" maintenance thursday night -- a day before all guilds would have received their 10 mil from LAST WEEK's tws -- and alsoafter bidding closed, meaning AFTER it was too late to make bids for THIS WEEK with THIS CHANGE IN MIND.0 -

If they don't fix it, we can always rub the noses of the ppl saying "i luv dis updat, it well maek TW more fairer!" in it when the big factions are able to dominate even harder."Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory.
Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat." ~Sun Tzu

Monoftalmus - Heavens Tear wrote: »Imo this is the biggest thread in history of PWI forums b:shocked
Actually it's not. There are two threads larger. The largest dealt with the issues of a patch that allowed people to glitch the gold trader and basically made billions from nothing... the servers were even shut down and weren't restored until the problem was fixed, there was a partial rollback, but the extent of the damage was never really disclosed, though rumor had it that a lot of people ended up keeping hundreds of millions in 'free' coin.
The second was the Anniversary patch... with the mounts, the first introduction of packs and the nerfing of Frost.
This thread may get larger than the anipack thread, but probably won't get larget than the gold trader glitch thread.I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -

It still has many pages to go to obtain that title.
On a side note, anyone else find it ironic how on these forums, we're not supposed to talk about other versions of PW, yet we have to deal with **** like this that's caused because of other versions of PW?
Edit: Ninja'd by Michael. Ah, the joys of Duke Rose exploit and the may rollback threads that followed.0 -
Yeah, for example the Battlefront Report for Sanctuary has way more pages than this. At least for now.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

That's not a gripe/complaint/qq thread. The other two threads I mentioned were mergers of many dozens of complaint threads about issues that caused great turmoil.I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -
You'd think over 140 pages of QQing would make PW GMs/Devss think again wouldn't you....0

Why bother, it's not like this is the QQ from their version. Also, I'm pretty sure the mirages are worth way more there so it works out quite nicely there.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

What makes you think they even do that?0 -
I'm sure every tw faction has lost 1-2 ppl since pay is no longer possible, but overall, its probably large amounts of QQ.0

LOL. I don't care if they ban me or whatever, the GMs blames everything (TW Pay, DQ Drops, Quest Rewards and other stuffs) but the organization for not removing the packs which caused the gold prices raising and inflation going on in this game. They provided with no real answers to all the stakeholders but with 1 or few words to entertain everyone.
By looking at the situation back when the first pack came out until now, many people have quitted the game because their expectations were not met by the internal customers of the organization. Yes, indeed, by putting the packs for a long time will earn them a lot of money from the rich people for a short time, but is it really all worth it? The people who left the game will have a very bad impression of the game and the organization itself and will start badmouthing the game (organization) for this bad service they provided to the people.
I guess money makes the world goes round, oh well, since they relied the players here for their real life pay. We all need money to make a living, but still, satisfying customer's needs and wants comes first, don't all of us agree? When they met customer's needs and wants expectation, customers will come back again to visit your CS(not everyone). Even if the customer don't pay anything to the organization, they still will recommend their friends to play the game, which their friends might spend money, because they think it will be worth it for a balanced game (This is what I think will be better for a long run).
I don't know if this all make sense to everyone, it's just my point of view to run an organization this way. I know, even if I or anyone who type this much and more(or less), PWE and the other versions of PWI are not going to listen to what we have to say or suggested.
What do your company take complaints for GMs? ****? Complaints are meant for you people to make improvements to the game, not just by putting it out here for people to discuss and nothing happens, expecting the gamers to wait for miracle to appear which it will never happen, not that I know of in this game. You GMs kept on saying "Yes, Yes, we've heard your complaints and suggestions." but in truth, did anything happen? NO.0 -

The GM's moderate the game. They manage it. They do not make decisions on updates or content. Nor can they change it. Being angry with them doesn't help, not their fault. If nothing happens as a result its still not their fault. They are just rooks in this game of chess and we are the pawns. The king and queen are sitting on their thrones making all the money. The devs are the problem.0 -

Well, They get paid (well I don't really know if they do or not) But it's their job to convey the message from us to the kings and queens don't you think?0 -

Lame cop out excuse that everyone throws out.
As a GM it is their job to talk to the devs and talk to us, and at least try to appease us. Our CMs/GMs are absolutely horrible at their job. No excuses.0 -
