One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

Well I guess all I can say is "thanks PWI for making a huge gasp in the game between ppl who are rich in rl and ppl who are not"... Realy good for the free to play experience... Realy keep it up and in a few months you only have the rich ones left cause prices will be to high for those who have to make coin in game... Why not instantly make in Pay to play? Sorry I realy hate to nag but realy are the GM's so blind? b:surrender

PWI doesn't make money from free players, so of course they're gonna cater to those who support the daily operations of the game and pay for the salaries of the staff.

If the packs are giving a huge financial boost to the company, why would they cut of a profitable product line?

any player that buys anything cash shop related creates an incentive to pay the company. people sell charms, D orbs because others buy them from coin, but the cash for those items have to come from somewhere. if i +12 my wep buying D orbs using coin, someone sold those orbs, and someone bought that gold with real money. if there was no such incentive, people upgrade their own equipment and wouldn't continue charging zen.

this means the whole player base should be important to the company. whether the majority of the players want the packs or no that people can go argue for themselves, but the only truly "free players" are those who haven't bought anything cash shop related. those scratching-their-way-through-with-the-bare-minimum players. even then, every player has the ability to charge zen, to alienate the "free players" in a game advertised as F2P is to push away the potential customers.

PWI...was good til you turned your game into a straight up, FULL BLOWN CASINO. (I'm expecting to see slot machines in west arch next to the NPCs when I log in.) If I wanted to gamble my time away, I'd be in Atlantic City or Vegas.

From this point forward, you'll see NO MORE zen purchases from me or my wife. You'll also see us no longer purchasing items from other players that are only obtainable from the CS. (Once my charms run out, no more charms for this wizard.)

Until you remove ALL of these gambling packs (by any and all names), you'll see no more CS related purchases from this house.

Soon, I suppose, I will not be able to play your new Perfect-World-CASINO because I will not have the gear necessary to survive and have fun. (Not to mention the lack of endgame gear.) But what I will have is my dignity, wallet and time to find another game that chooses not to ravage its customers for all they are worth.

    Stuff

If you really do stick to what you say, than good luck and you have my respect. However I do not think you will, since you already blew up your "good points" on your last paragraph when you still complain about something that is not an issue, since you make any of the gear in-game from getting the mats. I guess you were not really serious and this is just another QQ over whatever.

Sooo, what gamble is there in buying dragon orbs? If anything that removes the gamble of mirages. How about charms? Gambling? The only thing you are focusing on is certain packs, and they sell because people want to buy them and "gamble" on certain things. If it isn't yet obvious, people like opening things and possibly getting a reward. It's a psychological factor more than anything else. And PWI exploits this because every single business does and that's the way it works. While I'm well convinced your outrage here is quite selective and a bit ridiculous, there's no better way to voice your displeasure with cash shop items than simply not spending the zen, so for that, good on you. At very least, you're not a hypocrite, which is amongst the lowest common denominator one sees here. Speaking with your actions and wallet speaks infinitely louder than most of the QQing I see where people continue to buy zen and participate in the things they despise, i.e. stupidly perpetuating their own problem.

Not trolling at all, I even said he had my respect if he is sticking to not buying any zen or any items that were purchased with gold.

I was just disapointed, that after such a noble post, he spends his last paragraph complaining about not being able to get end-game gear. Which, in my opinion, spoiled a otherwise noble and repsectable post. Notice that he is on a PVE server, so even if it takes a little longer to get TT99 gear, it is not like would be game breaker (I am not getting into the pvp side of things, since being able to get best gear fast has a different impact).

Here are his exact word, and the reason of my disapointment. He can get TT99 gear in 6 levels, without cash shop, and that gear can be upgraded at level 100 using that new place, and so far nothing was said for needing a cash shop item to do it.

"Soon, I suppose, I will not be able to play your new Perfect-World-CASINO because I will not have the gear necessary to survive and have fun. (Not to mention the lack of endgame gear.)"

That is about it. No trolling, just disapointed.

And I told you it was a respectable action. And I noted that unfortunatly your last paragraph, where you claim that you cannot obtain the gear you need to keep playing, so you will not be playing for long, was just a complain, since you can get Molds or even TT gear without the packs. And the TT99 gear can be upgraded at the new palace to truely end-game gear.

I do wish you well, and I hope you are able to do what you want to do.

Well, for some, it's a chance at milking the last little enjoyment they can get in an attempt to at least get a little more fun for the money they spent. Others, in the hopes that maybe, someday, it won't suck so much. There are countless reasons. Perhaps some stick around for the same reason battered spouses stick around. It's the only thing they know how to do.

    This.

I had to (yes, had to, if I wanted to be half successful) charge $30 yesterday, and am now buying/selling... I have a friend that agreed to going into cat shop constantly to sell my stuff. note-- I started rich this time.

And I really have nothing else to do. Direct me to another f2p that I like, if you want. I'll go play that. But I've put in a ton of time into this game-- maybe it'll pass, maybe when I've started making money it'll be better.

Still doesn't mean this game is a good game for newbs or people who were struggling in the /old/ economy.

Also-- everyone's so quick to call "QQQQQ" on everyone, and call us hypocrites. I'm sure you've all never complained about anything at all. It's funny how those that are pointing out the 'hypocrite' thing so much-- have you ever complained about something ingame but kept doing it? I have a friend that hates item quests.

"Damn item quests..." *kills next mob* "STUPID ITEM QUESTS" *kills next mob* "Why the HELL does this game even have ****** ITEM QUESTS???" *kills next three mobs*

By your logic, he's a major hypocrite. If you complain about your job-- you're a hypocrite, right?

I dunno, you guys might be right by definition, but, it doesn't seem quite fair, or right. You seem to harp on it like it's your saving grace (well some of you do). Leave the insults out of a discussion, and just discuss. Would you really want to be in an argument with someone and them clap their hands over their ears and go "QQQQQQ HYPOCRITE!". That's what some of you are doing, on both sides. Stop it. >>

Lately I have noticed that the forum has been pretty filled up with angry and disappointed players. This much because of the different packs which have been flooding in now and then. I can understand the point which all angry fellow players have been raged about but still I can't stop thinking PW is a great game. Actually the only online game which have ever caught my 100% interest (actually I recently bought Guild wars but it was so much unlike PW that it ended up gathering dust).

PW is a great game It actually lets me play even though I don't have the money to spend on it. If I had the money I would love to buy mounts, flying mounts and fashion because I love this kind of things. But I would never ever spend money on things like packs which would take away my hard work. Since I am a 100% "f2p" person I work hard for every level. I gather every single coin that a mob drops or someone else leaves on the ground. I worked for more than a month just saving up for a ordinary black panther mount, selling drops and looking for herbs and stuff to sell to other players. It was sure hard work and it left my character broke but I was happy. Sure I will never get one of those beautiful mounts I want but WTH I am still happy if I can get even a bit taste of the things which actually costs ZEN then I will be pleased.

I see to much complaining on this forum daily, selfish players which actually want me to feel pity by starting threads about how their PW life is so terrible since it is a 2x exp, 2x spirit, 2x drop event that will make it possible for other players to sell the stuff that they seem to have jeopardy on and they seem to gain millions on selling. Why complain on a event that will help players that can't pay real life coins to actually go up in level and at the same time get their hands on some money so they can also enjoy the world of mounts and fashion?

Currently PW is more about money than it actually is about playing. If you stop by one of the million cat shops which is slowly killing Archosaur (spelling?) you will notice that even a pair of fashion boots this day cost 1m and a mount can cost up to 24m, I think this is insane, when I saved up for my panther last winter I payed 500k and I thought that was insane but it was manageable. I will never ever be able to pay for a mount for my wizard not when the price is 24m. It is sick how people forget to play PW for the great game it actually is instead of fighting over who gets the most money.

I think many players need to start thinking about the fact that PW actually is a f2p game and enjoy that fact, you can buy stuff for real money but you don't have to and thats great. I just hope that all this complaining from other players will have a bad effect and it will be me that can't play in the end.

Also finally If someone gets something rare out of a pack or in some kind of way buy something which will make them reach lv 90+ in a minuet then don't rage instead think about the fact that you have worked for your level and you have worked for your armour. It isn't cool to just reach level 90 it is cool to work hard for level 90.

Thanx PW for being here so I can play it :D

(I don't think I got this out right, but maybe I did some point 0_O)

I think a lot of the ******** about the event would cease if probability worked right in this game. why do i think it doesn't work right?

well to me it feels like this:
you have a probability for something to proc (for better or for worse), once it procs sometimes it may stick for several minutes, such that several subsequent events also proc, regardless of their probability. that's what it feels like to me, tell me you guys never experienced this.

I have missed 4 times in a row on mobs with 98% chance to hit. mobs are supposed to miss me 1 in 4 hits yet sometimes they miss me 1 in 20. any archer should've experienced more misses than usual at least sometimes in their lives. miss x2 on a barb? are you kidding me? what is their evasion? like 500?

    how about bad wq days? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9...

i also experienced this on dice rolls in cube, no ****ing kidding:

room 10 (bomb room), roll 1, room 11, roll 1, room 12, bad fate, room 11, roll 1, room 12, bad fate, room 11, roll 1, room 12, bad fate.

this literally repeated til i was going to die of the bomb, 3 room 11s then i just left on the 4th cuz i know the bomb was going to go off.

so how does this apply to the events? because it's a chance to get a rare item, but i submit that the same thing sometimes happens - you can have a string of wins, sometimes you can have a string of fails no matter the probability. tell me this hasn't happened to someone you know? one of my friends got 3 expensive stuff from AnyPacks, plus best luck tokens, yet she bought like 40 packs or so. one of my friends couldn't break even from 200 packs. what the heck? you realize 2 event items would've let him break even? (say a lunar orn and a helm) but not even that?

so other than making announcements earlier, fix probability in this game.
