    We are useless without a herc don't you know?

    It's not like my crystaline magmite was tanking every fb upto 59 or most of the bosses I needed or anything like that. b:surprised

    O.o this thread hasn't died out yet. -.- lol a veno is only useless when you aren't actually using it. Please get over it. Many veno's have helped others and many veno's have done some nice things with there pets. Everyone has a preference. Herc is a better pet it's designed to be that way, but some don't like it and some do. God people have to attack everything. I was looking through threads and saw on on clerics are over powered and should have their skills taken down. Lol that's just ridiculous. People are never happy with anything you have. If you think something is more powerful than play it and see how that works out for you. If you find something weak than don't play it. Simple as that.

    SAGE Ironwood scarab: 40% Pdef Reduction for 20s, 8 sec cool down. pierce has a 30s cool down, think EFFICIENCY. my ironwood is more effective, and can be used without a nasty cooldown. pierce and howl suck, and are not more important than a pets ability to DD. if you want important skills on a pet, something like shriek or threaten is way more valuable to a tank, seeing as clerics and the veno it self can debuff way better.

    cleric seals:
    elemental+dimensional seal, keep boss or mob at 30% pdef and mdef reduce entire time as cooldown are quick no chi cost cast fast, not as easy to cast when barb is tanking but when herc is cleric can keep boss debuffed entire time and DD

    I can't solo TT because it needs an Ultimate Substance. I refuse to get an Ultimate Substance because they're hideous! QQ QQ QQ

    Why don't they just make it easier to get a Herc or Nix if you want say 1 battle pack at 30 to 40 gold?This would include all the FF or SoF in it.

    I would say mounts and flying mounts are more important than this thing will ever be.This includes armour shards and everything else.

    Real life is way more important than this thing will ever be.

    Cuz now get the Herc or Nix from Boutique is around 200$ really u think they will turn it into 30-40Gold? I can get a Herc/Nix army b:laugh

    They are stupid easy to obtain. At level 81 I found I could earn one in 4 days of heavy play. Their skills are maxed, the skills sold separately are 5m+ ea + upgrades. Their stats are awesome. One can be obtained without cash before level 70, Level 70 comes fast, another can be obtained before level 74.

    The issue is that the Herc is ugly, therefore the OP refuses to be TT friendly because they don't want the hideous Herc in their pet bag.

    You cannot sell Hercs or Phoenixes. You need to buy the Sources of Force or the Phoenix Feathers. And at least here on Sanctuary, I see the SoFs going for 2.2-2.5k, which would total 22-25 millions per Herc, or 44-50 millions for Herc and Phoenix.

    Yes.That is right don't forget there are still newcomers to the game and the advised class to play is Veno why because it is easy.Those who want to just sell FF or SoF to make money can still do so.

    You couldn't be more wrong. I'm currently in the process of getting the stupid thing. It has nothing to do with not wanting it because it's ugly. It's the fact that I DON'T NEED it. I've got no use for the bloody thing. Who needs to be TT friendly when you don't do TT, eh? Plus, there's that whole Squad thing, which with the way my faction is organized means that all Squad runs have a Barb, and Cleric high enough to do it all themselves. They'd rather have me debuffing the **** out of the boss than tanking it. The only reason I'm getting it, is so that I can help out people with any and every boss. I could care less about it myself, I'm only getting it for those annoying few bosses I can't tank. And there are very, very few of them. If I can't tank with Pet, I usually can tank in Fox Form. But I'll get the Sumo Banana. Doesn't mean I'm useless without him. With the effort I put in my gear, I'm almost as good, if not better a tank than it is. Because, sometimes, Gear > Pet.

    How about to the 7x Veno, IE, ME, who watched a Sage Veno with Herc get 2 shotted, while I survived a lot longer on a mob I shouldn't even have been tangling with? I said SOMETIMES. I didn't say all the time.

    u also have to understand that the herc is not needed but it became like a fashion or a TT, after 60 (unless u have a mold) if u don't have a TT as weapon u are fail (generally speaking), same goes with herc after a while

    and "sometimes" doesn't seem right, remember that without a pet u wouldn't be able to use heavy/light build, so if a pet is required to make u keep ur gear then this last thing will never be > pets

    And that is where I think many, many people in this game are sorely mistaken. the LA, and HA builds are precisely the ones that are pet-optional. I fight with and without my pet all the time, it's actually quite easy. Toss on a bramble guard, go into Fox Form, and bash away. Mobs hurt themselves on the Bramble, and my skills in Fox Form give me lovely ways to keep, and regain my HP. And on a sidenote, AA builds are possible to be played like a Wizard, or a Cleric, Hit, Kite, Hit, Kite, Hit, Kite. Our main Scarabs, Venomous, and Ironwood, fire fast enough for hit and runs. Once you hit Lucky Scarab, you can use that as a starter, and if the stun goes off, you have enough time to fire a Venomous.

    Honestly, I don't understand why we even NEED pets at all. Hell, we're the best debuffers in the game, with the option to go Melee, or Casting. Just because of our "Wimpy" Damage, as some call it, we need pets? No. No we don't. We're not supposed to deal damage. That's the job of Blademasters, Archers and Wizards. We're not supposed to tank. That's the job of Barbarians, and Clerics. We are the Debuff class. That's really our role during most things. If we aren't tanking a boss with a pet, we're underneath it weakening it until it can't fight back. Just because the giant yellow beast is a fantastic tank, everyone wants Venos to tank, tank, tank. That's not our job. Our job is to help the real ones.

    The only reason we're the "SOLO" class is because of those pets. It sets us apart. But take away those stupid things, and we're very party oriented. We've got a TON of support skills for boss fights, and crowd control. Instead, we've been dumped into having tanking, and pulling as our main job positions, and with the introduction of Genies, we've lost our role as pullers. So now, all that's left for us to do, according to the standards of PW, is to use a Yellow Blob to tank. Why is this so? Why is everyone ignoring 99.99999999% of our skills, and abilities. What do we do all day long for people now? Spam 1 skill. Heal pet. Over and over and over and over and over. Seems pretty stupid to me, to reduce an entire class to nothing more than 1 pet, and 1 hotkey.

    I completely agree a Herc is not necessary. Not anyone is stupid or addicted enought to pay over 200 dollars for a legendary pet. I rest my case.
