Not sure if I got this right but I think one of moon fairy's 100 level skills will give them extra range? Right? If so, this will make them the mages with the longest range and they will be able to cast their non-motion skills from far.
Kewl.
Do they have their Morai skills yet, @Mars?
I hope they give them a mana well skill. This would be very helpful for every class.
Moon Fairy skills;
-L.89 Skill, it reduces the moon fairy's elemental and phy (?) def. in order to increase elemental and phy defense of party members by %500.
-L.89 Skill, makes them immune to something for 1 minute.
-L.89 Skill, increases their range by 15m. I guess it only works for some certain skills. Not sure.
-L.100 Skill, DD skill. Reduces the target's metal and water defense by %100 for six seconds. Each thunder and ice balls extends the time for 1 second. So it can last for 9 seconds.
-L.100 Skill, creates 400 chi over 20 seconds.0 -
Well, looks like my Moon Fairy will be going sage b:chuckle

Oh...
Why do they have only one 79 skill and three 89 skills for Morai. Each class have at least 4 Morai skill. That sux
2 skills for level 100. It works fine.
They should really add some other Morai skills.0 -

Sage does seem like the better choice for Moon Fairies. They have a pretty good chi management/building potential, the chance to apply the Curse debuff plus a few other things. Demons do have a couple of things here and there but there isn't something that really stands out to me.
Of course that's just judging the skills on paper, the actual gameplay might be a little different but so far I favor Sage.

I prefer demon like I anticipated a while ago already. Longer Paralyzes/effects, more range = OP.
The 25% for 25% extra dmg is lame and useless imho. Doesn't do much. But ya, the chi management could be tricky...but since you dont need to stand still...I highly doubt you'll get into chi troubles...considering the vast amount of CC and slowdowns.
This class will surely be OP if the skills stay like that. In 1on1 selfbuff scenarios...unbelieveable.My Barb:

It is sad how I found both classes demon/sage skill's translations in a not-so-legit perfect world forum, but it is not in here, in the original western version.
I am going to post the stuff here, but I have no credit for this.

Combo skills
The class has forced combos, where when you use skill 'x', skill 'y' and 'z' will be useable for a few seconds. The skills list 'Q/E/R' keys as the skill specific hotkeys, but given key setup these are automatically changed to different available keys it seems. When they can be used, a box comes up that 'drains' out for the time you have left to cast the ability, with the key that will use it shown in the corner. ( Though you can put
them on your skill bars and click/use different keys for them too. )
Where I put "Req skill" is the skill you must cast before the one listed is available for use.

A lot of skills can interrupt its casting: shadowless kick, alacrity, knife throw, sage darkcloud bolt, land slide, bramble tornado or genie's earthquake (lol). Unless you use lunar ice (stun) before you cast this skill, you can be interrupted if you are being focused.

No they gain immunity while casting I read. If they can press esc. To cancel the casting themselves then they could keep using it as a Perma immune.
Edit: oh never mind they become immune to debuffs. I still think the dmg reduction coukd be abused by using escape and cancelling the cast whenever they want. That skill could by them alot of time.Love lost is room gained

There's a major difference between the two. Channeling is the time before you actually use a skill and it can be interrupted or cancelled. It's basically the skill's "prep time" so to speak.
After channeling is when the server calculates damage or starts factoring buffs/so on into play. Basically, once channeling is over (but right before casting) if a skill is supposed to have hit you then you've been hit even if you've holy pathed out of range, hit an immune pot, or so on. Lots of people don't realize this and so they'll complain about how an attack hit them through immune because they used an IG or the like during the cast portion of a skill.
Speaking of which, the next phase of a skill is casting. This is when animations play out while your character stands still unable to do anything. The easiest example to use is triple spark. While the buff it gives lasts 15 seconds, you spend 3 of those seconds in triple spark's casting animation (that period where you're invincible) and unable to actually do anything. So in reality you'll only get 12 seconds of the buff from being sparked.
In short: You have your terms mixed up but no, they can't abuse cancelling channeling to get a free buff because the buff comes while you cast the skill.(Insert fancy image here)0 -
Thank you for unearthing the translation, Fail, you may not have translated them personally, but you brought them to us, which is commendable.
I'm a bit torn on the moon fairy. It used to be that sage for arcane classes would bring less chi consumption, increased damage and survivability, while demon brought more CC, shorter channeling and chances to add something extra.
However, this doesn't seem to be the case with the fairy- sage still has better chi management, but it also has a lost of reduced chan adds and shorter c/d, they have a lot of 'has a x% to give chi' mixed in and even an hf effect (again, it used to be a demon effect), while demon still has the CC, but they added increased damage adds on a few skills and a few survivability adds here and there and some increased debuff effects which were typically specific to sage adds in older classes.
I'm quite confused on what to pick.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

not correct for spark, rest of info is correct
think aps:perma aps spark is 4.0 (4*5*15 =300 chi), with 5.0 you get (5*5*15=375 chi)
if it was only 12sec of spark bonus it would be 240 chi for 4.0 and 300 chi for 5.00 -

^ Quite true. That's what I thought too while reading the skill descriptions.
I would probably go Sage because I'm not planning to play the Moon Fairy much after I'm lvl 100 so I'd go for the benefits of easy chi making (can probably macro the buff) & better squad buff (I assume the Demon defence lvl bonus is a self-buff for the Moon Fairies).[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

Hi guys!
I'm the translator of the entire skillsets, posted on the previous page, which is fine by me since you didn't take credit lol. They might be wrong by the time you get them, because the skills are being changed so often. Why don't you have spoiler tags in your forum, this will be so long. ;-;
I've played both of the new classes on pwcn, but my firsthand experience knowledge of the "moon fairy" is better as I've played it since it came out and it's currently 99, with another one at 75. I only really log in now to see if the skills are changed because the high ping is frustrating. ;- ; ( If it says anything about exp gain that it took 2~ months of casual, few hours a day playing to get such high levels, maybe it will be a lot better than the years slow grind I remember this version having, though 2 years ago. It's certainly less frustrating levels of exp gain. )
If anyone has any questions about it, then feel free to ask, I check this thread pretty often.
PvP wise, the moon fairy mechanics and skillset are weak against anyone who has an equal or greater range, especially if they deal physical damage because their phys def is awful and they have ~60 seconds where their dragon form will be unusable. With an archer, it's a bit more complicated (unless you -the archer- kill them before they can react) than say, a cleric or mystic.
They are "strong" in fighting against shorter range mostly, with their debuffs and slows/stun/freezes making it hard to catch up to them even though their base speed is lower.
(Unless you have tidal, or an antistun, most of which include a speed boost. MF do have a speed boost/antistun too so it's about even. )
Their unique damage reduction passive/buff ( 87-88%/25-26% maxed out, passive+buff ) is kind of negligible, as it's about on-par with other classes physical defense buffs, and weaker than a few of them too.
The dragon form buff is great, but once it's over that's a whole minute of vulnerability again with your one panic heal or sparks/genie skills in that time to use.
So, if they get locked down and can't escape in this time, which is possible for pretty much any melee class (except seeker) to do if they wasted their genie, they are probably dead. Especially if the person attacking uses DPH.
This is all assuming they are maxed out as demon/sage, equal gears and not really stupid.
Their summoned reel-in/thunder thing are really easy to just run out of if you don't keep someone frozen/stunned into them, by the way.
PvE wise... I could solo so many things I never could before, just because you can run in circles and never be hit. Ranged physical damage will wreck you though, as before. I'm not sure what specific there is to say about their pve capabilities, it's like playing a psy who can run and doesn't feel so clunky.
They are good at soloing PV.
As for cultivation, I think I prefer demon for it. The added defense benefits that demon gets (some small heals, increased immunity, shorter cd on dragon form, spammable def levels, etc) evens out their squishiness a little, at least from the way I've thought of their fighting capability.
I would've thought sage for the chi stuff, but on the other hand you are constantly running and casting (usually with a channelling boost too) so your chi is usually fine for what you use, + now they have the moon goddess gem skill to regain chi over time. Idk, if it would be better for people who like pve more than pvp ( I don't like pve ;-; ) it's there for you to think about.
Are they OP? I don't really think so, not yet. They have their counters and strengths. They are fun to play though!
I can't say much on night shadow because I just don't enjoy playing short-range classes, so I didn't get far with it.0 -

think aps:perma aps spark is 4.0 (4*5*15 =300 chi), with 5.0 you get (5*5*15=375 chi)
if it was only 12sec of spark bonus it would be 240 chi for 4.0 and 300 chi for 5.0
It's not as noticeable in gameplay, because we usually are either going at it with a full bar of chi to begin with, or due to various reasons (be it lag, slow reactions, too many buffs/debuffs, or just not quite paying super close attention) don't notice those couple of seconds where we aren't sparked anymore.
... Thinking on it, another way to see for yourself (if you can afford to) is to pop an IG the instant you spark and then click somewhere to try and move there once the stun is gone. If the stun wears off before the spark does (it won't) then you'd be able to say the spark had 15 seconds of use. Any other result and you'd know that it wasn't the case.(Insert fancy image here)0 -
Ghaha the mesmer comment cracked me up0

That's quite insightful, thanks for sharing!
I see Demon might be better than I thought. Plus, I had only read the machine-translated skills so some things weren't very clear. Though I believe I'm still going for Sage; as I said I'm not planning to play the class much after lvl100 b:chuckle (I assuming I play Moon Fairy instead of Night Shadow, who knows..might change my mind!).[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

Nah spark is a full 15seconds after the 3seconds of cast. 4aps is pretty much exactly 3sparks less 1 or 2 hits due to lag and 5aps gains a little under a spark per spark cycle as well. Wings of Grace on the other hand is only 12seconds after the 3 seconds of cast even though it says its 15seconds.
I noticed a couple inconsistencies in the translated skills.
There's a Moon Fairy buff that says it grants immunity to purge but Mars claims it only grants immunity to seal.
The Moon Fairy squad buff says its for melee auto attacks but it's actually for all normal attacks (especially archer).
I don't see mention of the Night Shadow copycat ability either.
