The old thread was getting a bit too hard to find information in so I'm going to try to reorganize things in a new thread. This expansion is slated for a 9/24 PWCN release but has already hit the PWCN test server.
On 12/2 a preview of this expansion was released for us, PWI Eclipse.
Let me know if there is info I am missing from the old thread.

Whats this about PW2 and a new engine?
This update is being marketed as PW2 in China but it is most definitely just an expansion. The engine upgrade is also overstated and the new areas don't look noticeably improved from what we've seen in recent expansions.
When are we getting it?
The release date is 12/16. It hit CN on 9/24.
Expansion Notes
New Race:
Nightshade race with two new classes: Duskblade and Stormbringer.
Both use class-specific weapons and are unable to use other weapons (like Earthguard).

A LA class that uses Sabers (class-restricted dex-based sword), unable to use other weapons
- has a passive to reduce ranged damage taken
- a squad buff to reduce crit damage taken.
- can enter a temporary transformed state with increased APS and reduced skill cooldowns
- has combo skills that can only be used if chained together
- has a teleport stun with a cooldown that is reset when the target dies
- can use blood paint

Also love the new upgrades for lower levels. All my alts are in 70+ range and questing on them is fun, but i have not much time and doing dailies usually takes all the time i can spend. With newer dailies, maybe even some that are soloable i could maybe skip stupid bhs and PV.
I also hope this classes are both gender. I want a male moon fairy so much b:cute

Actually, if DQ rewards were to return, people would bot for them again for the sake of the rewards. Its just that the DQ acquired won't inflate the economy via coin injection. Earning time will also serve to "cap" how much DQ can be acquired for the purpose of acquiring said rewards per character.

The DQ system was just for PWI. It didn't exist in PWCN as far as I know.

Well my hope for pwi to be a bit more graphic appealing is flushed down the toilet with the screenshots and the little creation video, just looks like earthguard all over again.
The scythe class looks interessting and the sword class looks like he has some walking problems.
When he allways walk like this even when not in combat, oh my god.0 -

This has nothing to do with self esteem/self importance, all ast was doing was being helpful, the mods can choose what to do with it on their own, obviously this is indeed a duplicate thread, but it became so riddled with nonsense it made it extremely difficult finding any information on it.

I honestly don't think it'll be as bad as everyone's making it out to be.
Yes, their damage taken is reduced as you get farther away, but the AA class is the opposite - damage is reduced as you get closer; everyone will be affected one way or another by that, not just archers, and we'll remain the primary means of killing the new AA class since all the other ranged classes are AA as well.
Crit damage reduction sucks, and it'll reduce more of our overall dps than it will, say, casters', but I think we'll see less of a difference than they will since we never really had spike damage anyway.
Combine all of the above with the earlier translation of one of the LA class's skills as a debuff that doubles auto attack damage taken (assuming the translation is correct) with a 6s duration on a 18s cooldown. Nothing really screams archer like a 6-second auto-attack-exclusive HF.

Just someone who thinks s/he will look cool if s/he says not-so-sassy-but-more-like-desperate things to other posters.
The first one was based off of rumors, the second gave a good chunk of information but it was getting messy and even the guy/gal who made the thread agreed that there should be a new thread. This thread makes it more easy to follow the news.0
