Three new god pets, a Dog god that is a land/water based pet, a Fairy that is the upgrade of the phoenix and is a DPS pet, and a monkey that seems to be a tank type, nothing else is said but we can assume it may be an upgrade of certain beloved tank.

Three new cookiecutters hardly fixes the basic problem that the power creep has pretty much wrecked the pet system, the main culprit being the broken attk/def levels mechanic. Leaving aside that two of these are apparently upgrades to CS pets, and that it seems probable they will come in at a hefty irl cash pricetag, leaving any number of venos out in the cold or facing the titanic task of farming their legendary pets all over again, I foresee two problems with this system. 1) An OP PvP veno pet, once again, prompting hate for the class and encouraging all of the scum players to migrate to veno (something tells me LA would become a very popular build) as even if actually balanced, in proportion to other classes, this is a less than ideal solution. Plus the likely candidate (harpy type pet) is an especially ugly model. 2) An OP PvE veno pet which may, once again, become a requisite for any veno hoping to make any squads. And I can already see the "PvE only" ubergeared types rationalizing that saving their repair costs, or whatever, justifies a full squad gimping their damage output in order to have venos soloing content for them... And I don't even want to imagine what niche the third pet is going to fill...

This is far from a fair solution (for both venos and other classes) and I'm certainly hoping I'm not getting right whatever PW is actually trying to accomplish with this. And I can't help but notice that these news came out yesterday (on forums at least) making my pets even much more obsolete precisely on the day I was finally able to skill my Shaodu Cub with Bless and Reflect... Classic PW moment.

On the veno "transformation" I think it comes down to whether any skills can be used at all in the new form. With all signs pointing to no this is likely to become only an occasional panic button for Sage venos with (ironically) only LA venos standing to truly benefit from this. On barbies i'll just point out that the new model doesn't work for me, is trying to be both cute (big eyed panda) and scary (claws) at the same time... I would not like this at all if I was playing that class.

From what I can understand, the Fairy and Monkey are upgrades to the Flaming Chicken and Budda Belly? Also, sounds like you will have to farm for the upgrades in a cave as well as feed it some sort of fruit (like cookies from the token shop).

The Fairy bleed skill sounds a lot like the old BBQ Bird's bleed. OP much? lol
Not sure but sounds like the monkey will be the DPS pet (5.0 stabby fish and 5.0 monkey poo flingers. omfg, we EPs are so screwed)
From the forums, makes me wonder if the dog aka Kirin will be WF version of the Mystic's Craggy. Time limited with large CD.

Important: This is just want I'm getting from the forums. This isn't meant to be spot on as I am not fluent in Chinese... so take this for what it is worth. Speculation and discussion.

The Kirin/dog I do actually like and will probably try to obtain when we get there. Regardless of skills/stats, that this pet may be used on both land and water sells it for me. So I guess I'll just add that and an old fashioned nixie to my pet bag and renounce the idea of ever getting any other top tier pets...

Youyimeiji(bird lady): upgraded version of phoenix, typical DPS pet.
