Guide to Making PWI Profitable
Step 1) Ban all of your core R9+12 players.
Step 2) ????
Step 3) PROFIT!!
With all the new games coming out PWI isn't getting a large influx of new players any time soon (and likely not ever). PWE's best strategy is to retain their current player base as much as possible. Banning large amounts of R9+12 players does nothing to help PWI last longer.
Lots of those 105 R9 players are in big TW guilds and plenty are waiting for an excuse to leave the game for better ones. Really most of the leadership of the strongest and most active guilds on my server are 105 R9. You ban them you not only lose the most core players but they are likely to convince a lot of their PWI friends to leave with them.
D3 is coming soon, ***, lots of other options.0 -
PW obviously supports power lvling, didn't they shorten the FB29 culti? Plus most of the FB doors are gone, at first you had to do something to unlock then, now they are open permanently.
Actually, is it still bannable to use the glitch, it's still there after all.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

They will probably say it's not allowed. But a better question would be, do they care? Not only do we have less gm's ingame, i've also noticed less modding on the forums? or is that just me?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You say that like a huge chunk of the population was actually doing the 29 culti at the appropriate level before this change. b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The real cashshoppers allrdy got what they wanted, this means they have no reason to buy as much gold.
therefor PWI has to cut down on their staff, kicking all the good ones out....Like Spoons, but that was for other reasonsb:sad[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Yeah , but none of this is true. Having in mind that the big factions are the first to exploit every glitch posible to max their own profit, plus getting that free coins from TW territories, i gotta say only 10% of them are real cash-cows. Besides, if they are already r9 +12 with jods what else are they gonna spend on? charms and fash?
Those core players you talk about are not the ones that spend real money anyways, those are the ones that know every glitch and trick in the game and generate large income of those faults. Banning those people would only empty servers of the greed that is ruling over and bring trust back into pwi.
By the way, if that core are soo suportive to pwi functuality, how come strongest factions are now splitting into 2-3 smaller ones, with same leaders just trying to hold the most territories posible until next reset, thus more free coins, more r9 pieces for them, that surely helps alot to pay for server maintanance, payrolls and stuff.0 -

note that I am not saying that your views are right or wrong, just that, imo, your argument will be better supported if you said that you had a degree in a related field instead of "I was 15 when the berlin wall fell (and definetely not brainwashed by propaganda)" -not that any of those are not fallacies
The Berlin wall was torn down in late 1989 and the USSR was dissolved in a couple years after. If Jadsia is 42 than that makes her 20 or 21 when that happened. SHe was adult, not a kid 15 year old as you say. Propaganda mostly comes from governments that control the news and TV to favor the government. Judgements made from state controlled press are almost always false. The truth comes from those who come from communist countries who are free to speak about real life there with no fear of punishment from the government.WnbTank - Archosaur wrote: »Thanks for proving me right. What you know is what you heard from news. Have you ever read the Philosophy behind it. Or even thought bout it? I admit there are few reasons why strict control from government is more likely to happen in Communist country than a capitalist but it`s not what Communism is bout. To certain extent it`s equality, in giving what you can to society and that being fine. We should remember that when Communism was found - World was quite a different place with little if any human rights among common folk.
I see China as elitist oligarchy with maybe minor shades of Communism if you really want to see them but then again, you can see whatever if you really want to. It`s just a lot easier to gather support for Communism than it is for the rule of the few. A lot of things you described are actually signs on Dictatorship, which is quite different from Communism on ideal level. Granted Communism is linked to dictatorship in human history but even then they are not the same thing.
Ps. Kitty eagerly waiting what actions is PWE taking to fix this injustice.
My father and uncle was born and grew up in China. They worked hard for 12 years to bring us to America. They have told me enough stories about life there to know that you know nothing about what you speak. Jadsia is correct. The communist party rules everything in China. All what you see from China in news is censored to favor the government. Is that not propaganda? People are afraid to talk against the government. If they do they bring trouble upon them. Some disappear like my uncle's friend from childhood. The government control the economy. People there work long hours for almost nothing to sell products to western countries. Companies there work for the government at the exepnse of the people. My father says you don't know communism until you live under it. Please don't speak about what you do not know.Yeah , but none of this is true. Having in mind that the big factions are the first to exploit every glitch posible to max their own profit, plus getting that free coins from TW territories, i gotta say only 10% of them are real cash-cows. Then the reason for PWI to reset TW lands each 6 months is to help fix this. People who spend money on this game get preferrential treatment. They should because they pay for the game to exist. Also, on my server I see big factions rise and fall all the time. They never last forever. Greed is calling someone a name who has more than you out of envy. To someone less rich than you and less powerful they might see you as greedy.
Most people in this game I know used a glitch sometime. If they are cheaters then so be it. I don't have to hang around them. I can ignore cheaters. But calling for the banning of people who glitch is all about envy of them cheating. Even if they are gone nothing will change the game. Others will take their place. You will never be happy about the game.0 -

Your father is 100% correct on how bad China was (still is in most parts), and the government still has tizight control. They've come some ways, I'm happy to say. It's still not ACTUAL communism. They can call it clown school for all that matters.
One part bugs me though, which makes me doubt your whole post and you just read this stuff on CNN or FoxNews:
"People are afraid to talk against the government."
People in China just don't. It's a cultural difference. Spooks the hell outta me personally, but there it is. Culturally its a very do-what-your-told type people. I imagine your father still has friends/family who think he's nuts for stepping out of line. 100% factual on the vast minority that want to speak out don't outta fear.
If you're not full of it - go visit China. You'll see what Im talking about. Completely weird.
Shouldn't we take this to an off-topic post? I don't mind.pwcalc.com/bb6fc16982637a5c / pwcalc.com/28948ee5778526f50 -
It's a culture thing in the sense that most common people don't care about the government as long as they can eat, but if you were to speak against the government in vocal manner, things would certainly be difficult for you.Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

I'm from former Czechoslovakia and when communism falls China change itself, because she would fall also. So they created hybrid of communism and capitalism ideas to survive. Some thing are allowed there and some not. But they are still closer to communism than to capitalism.
But China is far away from pure communism already.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

It's a mentality of not wanting to stand out, I know exactly what you're talking about. People are pretty tolerant of their conditions unless their basic needs are in jeopardy. This thread is about getting an update from PWE staff on the status of goon glitching via daily bumps by myself.
This thread is not about various types of governments, governmental history, cultural differences and whether people can agree or disagree on which is better, real, realistic, etc.0 -

Got to say this thread is pretty interesting.
But I suppose some of the playerbase still wants an answer. Like, even if they dont' intend to do anything, at least let the players know.

Anyway, If they ll perm bann people who used glitch... we gonna loose nice half of server And If day ll bann them for, lets say, 1 month, they ll come back to game like nothing happen. So I really don't get that why people re so crazy about it.. They not gonna cut their lvls cause that would be weak..
But ok, sure. They promised to do something with that so good luck with counting time to update.
And like someone before said, it's only GMs fault that they let people use it for so long. If system is weak you have to pay price for that and deal with it..[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
