Rank9 on Blademasters (no significant change over nirvana geared bms for pvp)

Rank9 on Psys (no significant change over full nirvana, psys are refine based not gear based)
Rank9 on Clerics (no significant change over full nirvana, they still need the same sleep debuff try for 1 shot combo as before)
Rank9 on Archers (A significant improvement to DPS and survival one of the larger changes)
Rank9 on Barbarians (no significant change over full nirvana still needs zerk/crit perdition to kill good geared players)
Rank9 on Venomancer (no significant change over full nirvana)

I havent pvped against both full rank9/partial rank9 and full nirvana (seekers and mystics) so I cant say exactly what the changes are for them, im inclined to think that partial/full rank9 seekers will see a significant utility increase over full nirvana due to getting god of frenzy (only available on 6 skills though) on a strong weapon.

R9 set bonus gives +20 def lvl and +30 atk lvl and the weapon gives another +30 atk lvl. That's not a significant change for all classes? <_>

Well nirvana set bonus is 13 defence so defencewise its completely insignificant, offensively it has an effect for a couple of classes (Sins, Wizards, Archers) all of which were pushed up into another tier of usefulness because of the damage boost.

Most people just see attack and defence levels as absolutes without considering that they might not be needed to actually achieve the goal of killing the opponent.

The other classes I mentioned dont benefit much from the damage increase on rank9 (BMs/Barbs/Clerics/Psys/venos) because the original combos with nirvana weapons were sufficient to kill ok I will admit for some of the classes it became easier as you didnt have to combo as effectively to kill but if you can kill the same guy with either gear set then is it an improvement?

A zerk crit from a bm/barb kills without needing the weapon to be rank9 and even if the weapon is rank9 in most cases you still need a zerk crit for the 1 shot, clerics sleep debuff 2 shot can still ignore charm (even if the first shot should tick), Venos purge, amp, nova combo still just as deadly rank9 or nirvana geared. Psys are purely soulforce based for the majority of their abilities which is refine related not gear related.

So yes there is an increase for getting rank9, but no its not significant for the vast majority of classes.

Micheal I would say you are speaking from an outsider point of view here. I have both G15 GoF axes +10 and R9+10. I can tell you the 60 attack levels with R9 when amped by zerk/zerk-crit is night and day from Nirvana.

As for able to kill the same guy with Nirvana being equal refine. I can tell you that no Nirvana +12 Psy is going to able to kill my BM even if they ninja stun buffed and I ticked it to get stun for 10 seconds. If I tick the stun of a +12 R9 Psy, I'm good as dead. Extra 60 attack levels also let them stay in White Voodoo and still able to pick off lesser geared ones in group pvp or TW.

I just don't see how you can say 60 attack levels benifit Wiz but not Psy. 60 attack levels helps any class, it's just "less popular" for BM because most think fists hurrdurr when they think of BM.

Caster Nirvana has less bosses, none of em is 2x drop boss, and Caster Nirvana takes WAY longer than a regular one filled w 5.0+10 peeps as I can state w confidence that instant-cast Arcanes are as common as white ravens. Glitching Caster Nirvana is way more ethical than gooning as normally it's not as spammable as regular Nirvana due to limited amount of Talismans which are TIME LIMITED too, therefore can not be stacked.

First off, Psys only have 5 skills that are soulforce based, 4 of those being their soul buffs and the other being a bleed. So no they are not purely soulforce based.

Ok let's take a closer look at the attack and defense levels:

7 def levels may not seem much but that's worth 455m on my server (lol 130m josd..). And that's a fair amount of coin. About enough to buy 5 pieces of NV armor.

Based on just the set bonuses, R9 will always have 62 percentage points in damage over the NV for when they both either have no blessing or both have a blessing. That's a really large power gap. Any combo with R9 is much more deadly than the same combo with NV.

I have no idea why you see this advantage as insignificant.

And if you could kill someone with either set, you would still have an easier time while in the R9 set, thus an improvement.

So why is it so much diffirent now when it hardly effects annything? It's not like your lvl has annything to do with how good you are these days... It's your wallet... So what's the problem?

I think it's less about actually cheating, and more about when you get caught you're barely, if at all, punished, even though it's against the ToS.

Cause for most ppl here spending money in pixels has become an addiction... It started with the gamble packs and now ppl pay to be able to fulfill their god complex cause they know they'll never be more then a mere human irl... Even if PWE screws up so badly that they almost destroy the game... Ppl will threaten to stop spending money but they will never be able live up to that threat... Note that this does not go for some CSers... But sadly a large amount of players actualy suffer from this addiction... It's like alcohol in pixel shape...

This is 100% true. I'm psy.
I have +10 R8 weapon +25 attack level from buff.
Today I was attacked by sin in cube. He stun himself for 5s from my stun aura. So I hit him just once for 10150 damage. I cannot imaging have full R9 att.lv 60+ 25 att.lv from skill + 30 att.lv from blessing. It's 115 attack level together. It's huge difference between nirvana and R9 gear for sure.

Well consider Sanctuary doesn't have the ability to generate gold from nowhere, as far as I know, the stuff merchants have were still bought by someone through CC.

Then this might be the better awnser: Because PWE loves money so they love players who spend a lot of it... And because the majority of the game puts money into PWE for their pixelated goods they don't want to risk accidently banning some of their favorite money providers... So that's why ppl with credit cards are eventualy the ones in charge... Cause if they get mad and actualy stop spending, PW doesn't get enough money and will probably close up due to lack of profit...
